Two marriages can be similar but no two marriages are exactly alike because the people who make them up are different. There’s that element of uniqueness that God created in each of us that cannot be taken away!

Furthermore, the section about married people hanging out with single friends, I’m highly against certain aspects of that because we have to be careful what we allow into our homes for instance. And I’m not saying this from a place of insecurity or distrust for my husband but from a place of wisdom. For instance, with women, how comfortable are we with a single girl-friend, hanging around our houses with our husbands and our children when we’re not in their presence or we’re blatantly in their presence because we all know that even on our best day, chemistry or attraction can’t be stopped and not everybody understands boundaries. Like signals are happening all the time and regardless of logic or spirituality, I think it’s unfair to our husbands and ourselves to bring someone around who could unintentionally entice him or be inclined to try to entice him. And that’s just women. We might not even be thinking that way but at the same time, someone who keeps herself up might naturally have that appeal. Like we don’t want someone else being a bigger cheerleader for our husbands than we are but she could be inadvertently fulfilling something in him that we ourselves didn’t know was lacking. And this could happen even if he has met her but we hang out outside the home. Like he sees her every now and then and that’s it. It’s only slightly different if the friend is married - in that - men will usually have more regard in checking themselves because he knows she has a man so there’s like a bro code that he’s able to further filter his thoughts through.

I agree I also feel that it’s an insecurity thing. Trust is so important and if you can trust your partner then in many cases it’s a hard No but I feel it’s situational.
