It's actually the horse's ear! There are earholes for the ears. BUT we know that it tints the ear a kind of weird colour, and there's actually nothing we can do about that. It sounds like a tiny thing but is actually a ridiculously long thing to fix if we did, so we'll have to live with tinted-ear-horse for now.
