As much as we would love to, adding more players is such a monumental change to the game it's currently not in scope. It's definitely something we would consider if we ever work on a sequel though!
Glad you enjoy it! We can't see custom chat coming to Switch any time soon because of software limitations (the in-game keyboard causes the game to close, and there's no simple way around this)

idea for an update for the custom level maker: add background and foreground blocks so that people can make buildings and hidden stuff, also add some way to get rid of the outline of blocks

Idea for Ultimate Chicken Horse: Increase the Player count by 2 players (Maybe even 4) I know you guys are dedicated to the classic four player couch party game formula, but I feel increasing the player count would give this game a lot more accessibility and ways to play, because as of now I feel 4 (maybe 3) players is by far the best and only way to play the game. Also this game would be a perfect candidate for an increased player count on and offline because it doesn't involve split screen and it is easy to pick up and play. Problems with increasing the player count and solutions: (UPPERCASE LETTER=PROBLEM, lowercase letter=solution) A. overabundance of traps and objects due to increased player size a. Solution: set an optional limit on the amount of a type of object that can be placed per round as a default for 5-6 players, For instance: platform limit 3, trap limit 3, explosive limit 2, attachable limit 3 (barbed wire, glue, ice) Miscellaneous limit 2 (teleporters, magnet platforms) B. Certain game modes not working well with more players (mainly players collide) b. Solution: set a warning for lobbies with 5 or more that also have players collide on C. Some smaller Maps might get cluttered even with an item limit c. Set a recommended map playlist for lobbies 5 or greater (Large maps: Pier, jungle temple, roof tops, iceberg. Small maps: Space, the Farm) D. The lobby d. I don't think you would need to add two more wardrobes to the lobby because the default is still four, instead of adding two more wardrobes to lobby instead make it so a player can kick another player off a wardrobe or share it with them if all of the others are occupied. You could make the cursor colors and the voting arrows in the lobby the six colors of the rainbow: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple. Overall Pros of increasing the player count: -Trap kill points would be more prominent increasing the initiative to make better well place traps -Having Six Players Would help combat matches that feel like just one person is completely dominating I feel increasing the player count would be really good for your game and might bring new interest from content creators and the general market to Ultimate Chicken Horse, not to mention it would give player more flexibility, enjoyment, and out of your game. Lastly it would make this game more of an actual party game, because I know in a traditional sense 4 players is a party game in video game terms, but in reality that notion just limits many games from being more accessible at actual hangouts and parties.
