I remember many AA fans thinking this album was "soft" when it came out. Now with Self-Titled and Violence in contrast, this sounds like their heaviest album. Oh how the times have changed... I delight in the irony :)
The violence and Self titled aren't necessarily bad albums/songs. They wanted a different style, and i think the boys are doing it well. They own who they are now. It's amazing and we should be proud of them whether they still do screams and breakdowns or not.

yeah i was just thinking that coming from their new song. very deperessing.
It’s the intro and what he says in the intro makes the song. If you listen to what he says “everyone sit the fuck down. alright alright I want everyone who this in a drunk piece of shit, this song goes out to you” 👌🤘
It's my top favorite albums. It fits Danny's vocals perfectly that graspy side. If they went back to this alot of people would be happy. Yes they are grown now but put 1 more heavy album out for the boys
Yeah Go You're fucking crazy, if you think that I'll ever change I am mine, I am me, I'll never change my ways I must've a route to escape Conduct a predetermined damnation for eternity Damnation for eternity I don't want you to cry, I don't even want you to care Don't you dare, pray for me, no There's things I bury inside, to keep away from the light Don't you dare, pray for me I been so fucked up for so long And I can't keep my head up on my own Holy fuck, why do I bother Never gonna keep, anything I wanted to fall down the crack I don't give a fuck if I die today Holy shit, I've lost my mind Reality, is starting to unwind Don't pray for me I don't want you to cry, I don't even want you to care Don't you dare, pray for me, no There's things I bury inside, to keep away from the light Don't you dare, pray for me I don't want you to cry, I don't even want you to care Don't you dare, pray for me, no There's things I bury inside, to keep away from the light Don't you dare, pray for me
+Ben Evans Danny left the band..? I hate to be that guy that says you aren't a real fan because you don't know some stupid bullshit, but its literally been so obvious you'd of had to completely avoid the band for over a year now to not get that.
I just saw this comment and omg when that chorus came on, it all just hit me and made me tear up. This song is so deep,as well as many others. I love them both
Lyrics: Yeah Go You're fucking crazy, if you think that I'll ever change I am I, I am me, I'll never change my ways I'm a monster, and that's how I'll stay Condemned to predetermined damnation for eternity Damnation for eternity I don't want you to cry, I don't even want you to care Don't you dare pray for me, no There's things I bury inside to keep away from the light Don't you dare pray for me I been so far gone for so long And I can't keep my head up off the bottom Holy fuck, why do I bother I'm never gonna get any better I've waited so long to declare "I don't give a fuck if I die today." Holy shit, I've lost my mind Reality is starting to unwind Don't pray for me I don't want you to cry, I don't even want you to care Don't you dare pray for me, no There's things I bury inside to keep away from the light Don't you dare pray for me I don't want you to cry (I don't want you to cry) I don't even want you to care (I don't want you to care) Don't you dare (don't don't) pray for me, no (don't you dare) There's things I bury inside (I don't want you to cry) to keep away from the light (I don't want you to care) (don't don't) Don't you dare pray for me no (don't you dare)
+Spengebab222. Dude do you even know what your talking about? +Michael Hardemon Jr is right. Danny Worsnop made albums for Not the American Average up to From Death To Destiny and then after From Death To Destiny when it came out in August in 2014 the next year in January 2015 Danny Worsnop left and joined We Are Harlot. So the point of this comment was that Danny was in the whole album of From Death To Destiny not Dennis! So please +Spengebab222 if you going to say something specially on the internet make sure you know your facts first. Thank you
+x00drummer00x he didn't leave AA and join We are harlot? He was always in we are harlot as a side project. He just left AA and went to we are harlot full time. Just clarifying that lol
+dvdvsdvd lol ik i was following that the whole time. When Danny announced he had a side project, i saw it as it was only a matter of time he was leaving AA, but thank you for clarifying +dvdvsdvd . i was pretty much trying to get that guy who commented saying that this album was Denis and i wanted him to understand no this is not Denis, that From Death To Destiny was Danny
Regardless of what you believe, it always feels good to know someone is praying for you. There are many shades to us all and for a musician it's about bringing it all to light. I feel all three songs equally on a personal level, because they connect to different sides of me. I've felt any three of those ways at some point in time. It's something you either understand or you don't. As with all music.
WOW!!!! I literally got chills multiple times in this song because you can hear (really well with headphones) the audio from the fan video from Seattle whenever Danny was reeeeally drunk. I think they did an amazing job with adding those parts in. It really hits home because it gives a message saying that "I'm not going to change for anyone. I will change for myself" And it's just truly amazing. This is my favorite song off the record. A Fucking A Forever
14 year old me: blasting this absolute banger on the bus to drown out the bullies next to me and my own thoughts, wanting to die 24 year old me: blasting this absolute banger in the office, bored as fuck but actually looking forward to something (seeing my cats at home)
Hearing the intro again after all these years gives me so many fucking chills. I remember hearing it live while the stage was still dark back in 2014 just KNOWING what was about to happen :’) I’d give anything to go back :(
Congratulations! You are the 1,000,000th person to realise that and the 100,000 person to post it on RU-vid. Please enter your credit card details to claim your prize.
After seeing the clip from Seattle (Which is where the audio of Ben is from) it actually makes me feel so much happier seeing how good Danny has done since then. If you haven't watched him in Seattle, RU-vid it.
i got to hear this intro when they first released the album at their first live concert, it was the most memorable moment mosh ive ever had in my life, best album by far!!
I remember seeing these guys live when they were touring this album, and I just remember talking to this guy who was obsessed with them and I was just like "eh, they're alright". It was really because I never really listened to them. Ever since that festival though I started listening to them more, and now they're one of my favorite bands.
They were really good, if anyone was wondering. Sure, they may have been pretty drunk, but all the bands there were excellent. Definitely my favourite concert that I've gone to yet.
no i feel you dude i like their older stuff a shit ton too, i might just be biased but i think this is a big advancement in them showing us who they really are
Found myself listening to 5 songs out of this whole album but with their other two I loved every one of them. What happened seriously to one of my favorite bands? :/
i didnt like it at first either, but it will grow on you eventually. I noticed they have matured much more musically on this album and he has a very strong voice.
I mean don't get me wrong, I like a few songs cuz some were a good follow up to their smashing 2nd record & less electronics was a plus but it's not a complete masterpiece album. Danny just said him & the rest of the band were just making a lyrically more happier and uplifting album. "The best" work they've done so far. No, R&R was their best effort.
Dude, you're comment's are delusional, you don't understand YET what this album is... Don't you understand that this album is a gateway, a fucking real opening towards true emotion?? Danny changed, for the better. If you can't feel the feeling that this album brings: Reality, change, uniqueness, something NEW. You're all stuck in the same old, which keeps on being the "NEW" thing. it's the same old thing1 I love the spirit in the album the Black, but this.... This is something that you HAVE to understand.... If you won't, you were never a true Asking Alexandria fan, I'M SORRY, you deed to open your mind, listen to the album! I HAVE NEVER LISTENED TO ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE !! !! !! !! Feel the love that he´s giving you, while you give him shit.
l Ficktionz nah bro he's back for good he said he went into the studio with Ben and recorded their first single to their new album and the drummer James cassells said he cant wait to write the rest of the new album tour with Danny and relive old times hes here he's back again get used to it lmao
Jacob Killion probably next year or the year after bc its to late for asking to release anything this year and they already did which would be that abomination of an album they call the black but and next year is when Danny's other band we are harlot is touring and releasing their new album so probably late 2017 or 2018
They have done no free show for Washington since their incident in Seattle, 2011. They played Mayhem festival in 2012 but haven't been back since. I recently spoke to Danny on this topic in Sacramento, Cali at the Aftershock festival and he stated "We'll basically do the free show when we have the time" and that was in Sept of this year.
Brina Urisk I know, thats why i don't listen to new AA, i moved on haha. Im not hating on Dennis though, its kinda the band as a whole changed now, and now Danny is doing country rock :(
I must say I was first hesitant on the path AA was taking musically, however, after taking the time to listen to a lot of their newer material, I must say i approve! Break n' it down as they should!!!
at 3:03 in the song is when Ben was talking about Danny being too drunk and high to play at their live show in Seattle, WA. I do believe they also said they'd do a free show for us that same concert...
