It was a nice experiment of the band, but, I don't know, it doesn't fit with Asking Alexandria style, or don't you think that it was very dissapointing the fact of not hearing those powerful guitars, the savage sound of the bass, Danny's voice going wild, etc, better than ever? It's not bad what they made, but in conclusion, this new sound doesn't fit with them.
Eve took the, "apple," if you know what I mean, but it was a trap to test her trust and God did it on purpose because being omniscient 100% of the time is boring and disappointing.
It's so crazy that its already almost 2023, it seems like only a few months ago it was 2017-2018, wish I knew of these guys then. Found em in December of last year, thank god I found em! better late then never. These guys are the reason I've widened my music options so much, I love Danny and Dennis, both had unique sounds and Ben, their guitarist seems sick as well! they all just seem so...down to earth. Love yall, cant wait for the more music to come
I absolutely fell in love with this album as soon as I heard it. My grandma surprised me with the pre-order disc and concert tickets for Christmas. I saw Danny and all the other beautemous lovelies on 3-1-18 in San Francisco. I was crying the whole time all while trying to sing along with every song. "It felt so sweet, I couldn't imagine in my wildest dreams". It was so fucking blissful feeling, I can't describe it. I have listened to AA since the start. I'm going on ten years. I have loved every song, and every album. Including this one. If you can't do that, while appreciating their growth as a band, how can you call yourself a fan?
I would like to personally thank u y'all for this one Hits hard when u had a girl name Eve who cheated on u this lyrics r everything I wanted to express
This has got to be my favorite album by them. They truly went above and beyond with this album. It's amazing. And this is probably my favorite song from it.
I simply cannot believe how a band in this era of time can still make amazing songs. I can’t stand music after 2005... very few bands after that. AA are insanely talented. This song just has something to it. Hard where it needs to be, and melodic and amazing on the ears when it needs to be. I DEFINITELY needed this right now in this time of my life.
fucking adore this new record. it's so mature and polished, and every song has so much meaning and differentiates from the last. i love every album by this band so much and this may not be everyone's favourite because of the change, but this is definitely my favourite.
Not necessarily my new favorite album but goddamn, I love the songs they put out. Under Denver, Vultures and this song are my top 3. Although there isn’t much metalcore-y songs in this album, the structure, lyrics and Danny’s singing really made the album special
Sam Fairclough Pretty neat aye? It's like their mature sound that represents the idea of moving forward and standing taller especially after last years little chain of events. Anyway regardless, they release good material and its wicked to see two AA albums within a year and three-quarters!
Yo. Everyone is talking about the way this song sounds, but did you read the lyrics????? BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN. I like how there's sarcasm in his lyrics and how the song is a big metaphor.
Its written from the devil's perspective when he tempted eve to eat from the tree of knowledge the forbidden fruit in the garden of eden and is basically saying that how can you be truly free is you don't know everything and if he doesn't want you to know everything, it makes you wonder if that's because he doesn't like us and some shit like that basically. It's a super great song and a sick song meaning. They also have a song called morte et dabo from their earlier stuff also coming from the devil's perspective when he was tossed out of hell and how he's angry about it and wants to kill God and take his place and destroy all that he has created. It's also probably their heaviest song.
The Lyrics on Many Songs these days are a deception, I can hardly find a lyric video with the original lyrics, if you're not going to post every version why bother?.. Brainwashing Perhaps?..
This and Hopelessly Hopeful are my favorite songs on the new album. The chorus for When The Lights Go Out is pretty great, the breakdown/bridge for Into The Fire is badass. The whole album except for Empire and the radio edit is just amazing.
I love this band and then Danny comes back and makes me appreciate them so much more I've had this album since Christmas and it's cherishable deffinately one of the better ones
Have you heard the way The Stage was produced? Takes a massive shit on this album's production, and I say this as a fan of Asking Alexandria. Hell, even other AA records were produced better. Reckless & Relentless comes to mind.
The Vocals and Drums are stellar. The Guitar and Bass production is terrible. The tone sounds so muddy, you can't hear a single good riff in the album, even when you try to listen for one.
If people can't appreciate how much they have grown and matured. They don't deserve them. I've been a fan from the beginning and I'm super proud, even when danny left. Grew to love denis. I'm really happy danny is back.
Haven't seen these guys on tour have you? They are far from matured. Just because they don't write breakdowns and synth riffs anymore and Danny's voice sounds like he has throat cancer does not mean they have matured.
One of my favorite songs Asking has ever made! A great evolution of their sound, and honestly I wish there was a few more songs like it on the album. They took their time, and made a song with great sound and genuinely good lyrics. And honestly, my only gripe with the album is that I prefer heavier songs, and there's not that many on here. That's not to say the music on the album isn't amazing (it is), it's just not really my preference. And that's fine, a band is allowed to create whatever damn music they like, and people are allowed to both like and dislike it, everyone has different tastes. Still though, I enjoy listening to every song on this album, but *Into the Fire, Eve, Rise Up, and Where Did It Go?* are the songs I see myself still listening to years from now. Great album guys, looking forward to whatever you guys come out with next!
I actually redact my statement. In a way. There’s only two songs on this album that are good. They’re amazing actually. But everything else is just popish, hip hopish. Idk can’t explain really. But this song and into the fire are just something of a masterpiece. I wish they went along the lines of these songs for the rest. Because every other album/song they have are just heaven. Thank god for these guys.
People getting pissy on this album not sounding like every other metal core album its nice to have alittle change and a different sound its what shows you dont sound like every other band out and i think AA is doing an amazing job keep up the good work guys so glad danny is back
I am absolutely in love with this. The beat, the vocals, and the lyrics are euphoric. Fantastic fucking song, one I have truly become obsessed with by this band.
I just got on RU-vid for the first time yoday and saw this and freaked out. Ive been listening to where did it go and into the fire over and over again
The beginning of the song reminds me so much of "21 Guns" by GreenDay. Had to get that out there. But, the lyrics for this song remind me of "Morte Et Dabo" from the R&R album. For just a second consider why a man who cares so much Would keep something so simple from someone so innocent? Maybe he wants it all for himself cause he thinks you don't deserve To feel all the joys that he feels that you'll never feel Ask yourself why does he give you less when he takes more? Ask yourself how being free is being locked inside these walls? Maybe you're weak, or a mistake, or too emotional Maybe you're not good enough for his world, maybe you never were That's some deep ass shit. Reminds me of the lyrics so much.
The song is called Eve and the whole thing is about the Garden of Eden. For the most part it’s about Eve just not deserving the punishment, Morte Et Dabo is the highest level of atheism.
Bobaaganoosh Eve is from the devils point of view, just as Morte Et Dabo is. This song is about convincing Eve to take the apple and how she deserved to be free from the “restraints” of god
I love music variety, R&R and SU&S are still my favorite albums by AA and I see lots say they don't like this album because it's not like their first 2. Danny's voice is amazing on this album, overall it's a really really damn good album, just give it a chance.
Geronimo Lavielle no entiendo. de donde sacaste esa info? por mas que leo la letra solo veo una historia aparte que nisiquera en metaforas tendria una relacion con una "carta". a que te refieres
I absolutely love this song...i really need to see these guys now that dannys back cause i saw them when they had denis which was cool but i was bummed that i didnt get to see them before danny left
@@CommunistHam because it's true I'm not telling you to grow up but bands eventually sprout in a different direction not every song is going to be like stand up and scream
I see stars is going soft too now... well they were always soft and got heavy on 2 album then slowly drop back to their softer side again with treehouse.... i bet that their next record will be soft!
LaylaMichelleLuv give it a listen to a few times and you will . It's different so it takes a few listens to get used to. Honestly I think their all good besides empire.
Hilarious that people are pissed that AA isn't releasing a Stand up and Scream 2.0 album. If anyone remembers, because you should if you think you're an actual fan, Danny said in an interview that AA will never release the same album twice (sound and lyric wise).
IMO ... The black was an attempt at recapturing that lightning in a bottle and it didn't do the trick for me. I like this self titled album much more personally.
Ryzym no one gives a shit about "Stand up and Scream 2.0". this argument drives me fucking insane. "wow, i'm shocked that people expected a metal album from what was supposed to be the comeback album for the band that was once one of the biggest names in the genere. i can't believe those people are upset they got some shitty hard radio rock album instead!! clearly they're just stuck in their emo phase and have no reason to be disappointed or upset that they waited years just to be let down like this haha" it has nothing to do with people wanting the emo AA back. people want the AA that was an actual metal band back.
I'll be waiting for a different band to pull off something of that style because asking Alexandria is dead to that genre, theyve moved on from their roots
Staubfinger4 I could actually see it being next album. The new album did not sell well at all. From Death to Destiny literally sold more than 3x in it's first week than this album. They are gonna write a record that pays the bills. Trust me. :)
I can’t believe they disguised I am inequity. I was searching it for hours when the album was realeased. Then I bought it, and listened to it, and then found it was this song, and yelled “you British fuckers!!!”
GERBSANITY I literally laughed my ass off from your comment. Goodness. I feel like it's the first time after 16 years that I laughed like this. You made my day, or probably 2017 complete. Thank you.
