Danny possesses one of those unique vocal sounds that has an emotionally driven angst that strikes a chord when its heard. Paired with belonging to the kind of singer and vocal musician that holds nothing back, ripping himself open and leaving it all exposed as he lays himself bare at the end of a song, you have the rare opportunity to experience the sound and artistic beauty of the songs created afterwards. That's what music should be all about.

This... this song saw me through the darkest most miserable days of my life. Pulling me from the pits of hell and the brink of satans finger tips himself. I was in a very toxic, abusive, drug induced relationship and every time I escaped, it was to this song and these genius lyrics. I no longer live that life today, 2 years later, this song now has a new meaning for me. Every time I hear it, I'm taken back to the place I never want to be again. A beautiful, grim reminder of the person that I used to be. Thank you Danny. Thank. You AA for helping me without ever having knowledge of doing so. This song, from the lyrics to the vocal range to the music, puts the master in Masterpiece!

One of my favorite things in music is when a band does an acoustic version of a song and the singer proceeds to use power in the singing. If you can pull off the singing in the studio version than you better bring that power and soul to the acoustic version too where we the audience can truly feel it. Amazing stuff

I don't want to break it to you, but from what i've seen. He cannot do it either. He never goes this high screaming when it's live. Unfortunately they use a lot of software tampering with his voice. But it still sounds awesome :)

Asking Alexandra is easily among my top five favorite bands together but Danny ... Danny unquestionably is one of my all-time favorite vocalist performers to date. There is a rawness to the sound of his voice that is completely authentic while the gravely, edge he wraps around lyrics once he's left it all out on the table, refusing to hold anything back and leaves pieces of himself lingering in the quiet once the final notes go silent!

Saw AA live at The House Of Blues in Houston. Tickets were a christmas gift for my 20 yr old daughter and we decided to make a girls trip out of it......boy was I pleasantly surprised!! Danny absolutely blew me away with his vocals!!! This man can fucking SING!!! I found myself tearing up to almost every song that night because of the raw emotion they displayed and projected unto us. I have seen MANY MANY concerts in my 47yrs and this was def one of the best!!! You guys made me a lifetime fan and I cannot wait til the next tour to see you again!!!

I think they have gotten better as they have aged. I didn't really get into AA until their second and third albums. Their first especially just standard edgy metalcore, it wasn't until their later work that their lyrics got deeper and they started doing more singing and real screams and less fry scream nonsense.

This bitterness resonates in me because of my own current experience. I'm so overwhelmed with anger at those who left and chose themselves than a moment to spare to help, and I'm at a point where I feel I'm better off alone, and I love the way it feels now to hate them for abandoning me. It feels better than the painful realization that I wasn't important enough to weather the storm, and when things were said and done, they stayed gone. Danny’s voice is moving.... There’s a lot of post and hardcore English bands out there.... But Asking Alexandria has been on of the more INTERESTING bands out there.... even though they are hated amongst the rock community, they are a force to be reckoned with.... Even in 2019. A good example of how some songs just aren't made for acoustic versions.. Like this isn't bad or something but my God is the og version is at a different level altogether.

See, i disagree. I think both versions are great and do exactly what they are meant to. In the original he was still feeling all that anger and pain and that was reflected in the music, however in this version he has moved past it and found new life and the waters have calmed which is reflected in this version, and his voice is so much more soulful in this one than the original. But i personally love this version much more than the original, and that's saying something because i absolutely love the original.

I got to see them at the Soma in SanDiego like 6 years ago for their Death to Destiny tour.... I've never been so blown away. Worth every dollar. I didnt leave the pit for their whole set!
