During my many repeats of this song, I once misheard "violence" as "violins"... now I can't listen to the chorus without imagining Danny and Ben aggressively playing the violin.
Hello my name and Lucas, I am 26 years old, I am Brazilian and I come through a brief text to thank the band that saved me, a few years ago I had depression and panic syndrome, losing my father and just sinking to suicide, until I met the band that I have a huge gratitude that saved me, today I don't listen as before, but today I listen and cry, because I remember a past that I had and would never think of in the present that I am today, a band that brought music for my life, thank you, thank you. Sorry for the english mistakes, I'm using a translator.
Music can heal in so many ways and make us realize that we’re not alone in our thoughts. So so happy that you are getting better. Stay strong. Truly the world would be sad without you
@@KarissaKayne it was heavy… Don't Pray For Me, Killing You, The Death of Me (heavy version), Run Free, Poison, Creature, White Line Fever, Until the End and Dead
If AA were to be a bit experimental or creative with something - then that's fine. Moving On is a very good song that doesn't sound like AA. This is just We Are Harlot version 2 - basic hard rock with little originality to it.
@@plantico2597 I dont recall it sounding like We Are Harlot at all. Just because its more rock based it doesn't mean they suck. I do think they should leave a heavier track for us on the album but they are on an amazing track and aren't releasing the same track twice like Wage War.
Oh, dude, this vid is about zombies and some if them became humans again and the humans are like zombies and so the zombies have to be careful of the humans
Old Danny's scream back. Imagine Dragons vibes. Strange mixture, but I really love it. I don't understand the comments. This song is like a fresh air. THANKS AA.
I was so excited and I love AA I literally grew up on them and I was waiting to be left "BREATHLESS" or close and I hate to say it .. but no ... still good but... enough said
I think yall need to realize what that does to your vocal cords. Id rather him tame it down and release more music than scream like he used to and end it sooner
Just saw them play in NYC last Sunday, they are awesome live and their new stuff kicks ass. They still play their old stuff live so it's not like it's dead. I feel like people need to stop clinging to the past like old people and learn to enjoy change cause that's what life is about.
black album I didn't want danny Denis is an awesome vocalist. This danny has come back to destroy the band we all once loved this song is utter trash like their last album. first AA album I haven't bought and won't
I thought the song was going to be really soft with all these comments but nope it was hard rock and slightly heavier than most hard rock bands. You really like to exaggerate.
The oldies are still there, as well as a stupid saturation of their classic sound. I loved their first couple CDs, but they aren't the same fucked up 20 year olds anymore.
@@brittanyperez2243 It seems that you don't know what POP is. This is still metal. And to be honest, a fokking great evolution from what they was. If you want more metalcore, there a still plenty of groups out there you can listen to. I love AA and their new style. And i would say that NOW they are doing what they REALLY wanted to do. Because it seems that they enjoy every fokking song!
Tylor Keeton it's just like i expected, AA we once knew is gone, but they actually turned out to be even more better ino, BMTH sucked btw but Asking Alexandria has still The rocky Music since 2013 i loved That album, btw yes i miss the growling
But you lose a fuck ton of fans when you decide you want to change your sound. Maturing and evolvong is fine, but to completwly change your sound for fame and the record labels is bullshit. This song is terrible regardless of who is performing it.
@@joshdickerson9188 exactly! maturing and evolving is fine but when the sound and style basically changes into a different genre well then of course fans are going to get upset.
Susi Ono KoRn did a dubstep album so what? It was a damn Good album so changes are Good to some of The band, especially when it comes to Worsnop, BMTH fell right Into Biebers ass, even This Song was heavier than The last two albums of BMTH
@@siccdofficalfamilypie7320 This song was heavier than the last two albums? You want to tell me this is heavier than Happy Song and Wonderful Life? I doubt you even listened to these albums. Listen to them before you judge shit.
@@magiaburst Yes actually it is heavier. Especially considering the keyboardist sings 75% of his lines, at least Danny has actual singing skills. Also, face tats. Ew.
lol Matt good is producing both of these album.. it's normal to say, that it will be shitty! come on! im not hating on matt Good but WTF? dude is turning the whole metal industry into pop shit! If SWS wanted some heavy stuff go to their first producer of "With ears to see and eyes to hear" , not Matt Good! Damn this is really bad
The song is REALLY GOOD. Everyone, stop complaining that you want them back. They are just trying sth new and that kind of music is what most people enjoy these days. I think the song is perfect with its own way❤️
I enjoyed the song. I enjoy the heavier stuff too. I enjoy Asking Alexandria as a band and am happy to let them choose whatever path they want to take musically. Heavy or not this was a kick ass song.
If you thought you were going to get some heavy metalcore with some awesome screams, you’ve come to the wrong place. That will never happen again. *sobs*
Lyrics for. *Asking Alexandria - Violence:* First things first I'ma say all the words inside my head I'm fired up and tired of the way that things have been, oh-ooh The way that things have been, oh-ooh Second things second Don't you tell me what you think that I could be I'm the one at the sail, I'm the master of my sea, oh-ooh The master of my sea, oh-ooh I was broken from a young age Taken my sulking to the masses Writing my poems for the few That look to me, took to me, shook to me, feeling me Singing from heartache from the pain Taking my message from the veins Speaking my lesson from the brain Seeing the beauty through the... Not to beat a dead horse but man, they’ve really sold out haven’t they? Clearly been fed the “hard rock formula” that plays on octane radio. No passion, no soul, none of the raw emotion that made AA what they were. This isn’t just about it not being heavy, but their heavy music had all those elements
Anthony Flores I see your point, especially about their first album. I feel like Reckless and Relentless was veiled as “we’re having fun partying our brains out” but actually was a cry for help considering the dark places they were all in. And then the opening track on “From Death to Destiny” is an admission of those dark places they were in and the fact that everything was NOT all right and the partying was having a detrimental effect on them and crescendoed at the infamous Seattle gig. I think a lot of the music on R&R and FD2D definitely had some soul to it. This song just feels like a formulaic hard rock song. Formulaic song structure, formulaic song lyrics, formulaic everything.
They also borrow the purity riff from slip knot on their song dead. Good song but they are repeat offenders. Danny says moving on is basically go you’re own way from fleet wood
A guy that thinks you are all stupid here :D Yes it does sound like it however, what is oringinal these days? you can take the same 4 cords and write 50 songs no one would tell the difference unless played side by side......... so just no
They went on tour with them, it was inevitable to change the style to something as papa roach did. like when they toured with A7X, and from death ro destiny came out.
lol Matt good is producing both of these album.. it's normal to say, that it will be shitty! come on! im not hating on matt Good but WTF? dude is turning the whole metal industry into pop shit! If SWS wanted some heavy stuff go to their first producer of "With ears to see and eyes to hear" , not Matt Good! Damn this is really bad
calvin pranata and i think SWS sucks because they're not heavy 😂 but that's because i never Turn my back on The Old bands i used to love, i did Turn my back on BMTH, That is totally pop! AA has still something left, The Rock, maybe not The deathcore we grew up on
Everything about this song is brilliantly put together. The energy is always so badass and reliable at getting me out of my head and on my feet. So freaking killer! Love it! I can't wait to see y'all at the Tabernacle!!!!
Been a fan since 2009 when I was in the gym in Iraq and needed a real band to bring the aggressive sound so I could get a good workout after missions while listening to my "iPod" (remember those?). Long live AA!
2009 Me: Asking Alexandria is one of the most amazing and heavy bands that you’ll always love! 2019 Me: _Still love them to this song and catchy as hell_ but *somehow Sleeping With Sirens new song is heavier then this*
@@covid-mx9ng sorry that you dont wanna hear actually good vocals just screams i personally thing asking got alot better from the their self titled album
Coming from a life long admirer of everything they have ever put out, this has to be the worst. Never written anything negative about AA, I have tattoos from them but this doesn’t make me see into a direction they are going. From the build up I expected something heavy but this isn’t anything impressive at all.
Wouldn’t you get tired of screaming over and over again and never changing your style. Stand up and scream was a masterpiece, and that was the bands choice to make that album and we loved them for that. So let’s love them for being themselves
Warm Soft Kitty exactly and improving in areas along the way, these kids don’t know what evolving music really is, changing your genre doesn’t mean you’ve “evolved”
Adoring Fan he tried doing the old shit with (most of) the screams live, it sounded good towards the beginning of the resurrection tour, but clearly the stamina to perform screams AND cleans top notch isn’t there anymore. He stopped doing screams live within the last year or so and it’s paid off. If saving Danny’s releasing this kind of music, which in my opinion is still good music, then I’m here for it.
Definitely a majority of us did. Plus they mentioned R&R and FDTD albums with a message saying this is what all of you been waiting for. Unfortunately it is a total let down for me

Love how no one and understand music is all about evolving and trying new things. That's exactly what they are doing. That's what every single artist and band is doing nowadays. Everyone is evolving. Ain't nothing wrong with trying something new or going down a new path.
Exactly, it s boring to do the same thing for so many years, they just want to try new stuff and people just don t get itttt. plus, danny is getting oldd, he can t just scream 24/7
Andra but this isn’t new, this the same thing all of the arena radio rock bands have done already, also Danny is barely fucking 30 man, Corey Taylor still screams and he’s in his 40s, Oliver Sykes still screams live and bmth is pop rock now, Jonathan Davis is pushing 50 and still does it, sooooooo
Comments: 50% "I miss their old stuff / I wanted something heavier" 45% "They sound like Imagine Dragons / Panic At The Disco" 5% are mature enough to understand it's 2019, Asking Alexandria has EVOLVED and just enjoy the damn music without complaining.
Shit agree with this! Why don't they just appreciate and enjoy, you don't like their current style you go make your own music and song. Fussy people. 🙄
Why does everyone think releasing a softer record automatically equates to maturation? And I like a lot of "sellout" records, hell, the fucking song Sellouts with Danny is a banger in its own right, as was that whole Breath Carolina album. It is perfectly okay for people to not like a thing. Just because it's soft doesn't mean it's good. Like, fucking Trench is a masterpiece and it's the poppiest TOP record but that doesn't mean every band is good at releasing poppier records. And I'd be fine if every song sounded like The Violence but it does not. Sometimes a dud is a dud. We'll cherry pick the good stuff and move on, man. And yeah, From Death To Destiny was better. I said it.
@@mdstevens0612 similarly, just because something is heavy, doesn't mean it's good either. the self titled album has many good songs musically, better production and arrangements but ppl still didnt like it because it's "soft". if that album is what AA debut to the world with no fanbase, they'd probably be as big as papa roach or linkin park. but that album was downplayed by existing fans as a "bad album". edit: having said that, i think there's nothing special about this song (the violence) though. have to listen to the rest of the album to really judge it.
I came for Asking Alexandria but stayed for the video. No hate but I felt this song so generic, flat and without feelings. I still have hope on the album but I can't say I liked this because I expected something better, maybe not heavy but better :((
All I can think of r lyrics from Reckless & relentless this music's dad with a bullet in its head let's wake it up!!! I feel like they just took it to the vet and put it to sleep...
Fuck yeah dude. Finally not some kid stuck in their ways fully about this band, I cant wait to see what they have in store as long as Danny and the band truly are happy with what they produce it's all gud
I've ever said in the comment that Asking gonna be like Imagine Dragons (when Danny came again), and some people bullied me. And see what happened now 🤣🤣🤣 But yeah, we have to move on..
Susi Ono Danny sings better Now, he sounded so alot like Oli Sykes in The Beginning but not That band, they had Breakdowns, but Danny sings way more like a heavy Metal Guy Now
I don't love the song , but I like the song. It sounds like the song "When the Light come out" from their last album. Hope the next single sounds more Reckless and Relentless.
Honestly, I feel like i have heard far worse from them. Plus made this out to be like a Quentin Tarantino Short Film. The song is ok, but the video quality makes up for it!!
The intro sounds exactly the same as this Jaden Smith song called “watch me”. 😐 I mean, this was a nice song, but when I heard the word “violence” I was expecting them to do something heavy. Anyways, I’ll always support you.
