Gracias Cynthia..

This really tested me...Usted, subjunctive + future tense? 🤨
@iamwinningrightnow
@iamwinningrightnow 7 месяцев назад
When cuando refers to the future, the subjun is used.

Cuando + future event= subjuntive. That's to distinguish it from cuando (everytime). I'll show you in two examples and how subjuntive solves the issue in Spanish: Cuando llegas, siempre preparas la cena = When/ Whenever you arrive, you always make tea. (Statement) Cuando llegues, prepara la cena, por favor= When you arrive (future event), make tea, please. (Cuando + future = subj.) I hope that it helped! Please, consider susbcribing so we can get to 100k. It's free!! :) Cx

Yes, in English we say "go down this road" even if it's flat.

Can you believe that little Mr. 20,000 words did NOT know Glorieta ? Humbled yet again! I got a question for you Cynthia, and I always want to spell your name Cinsia, right? Do your get or are you still amused with, or not so amused with, learners questioning you as a native speaker on words? «that´s not right. That can´t be right!» to YOU a native speaker? I´m just wondering. Yesterday I had an exchange with a Madrileño and he knew everything! I couldn´t teach him anything so, I´m sure it happens moreso with angloparlantes to you. Hey groovy chick, I was able to walk without pain today for the first time in too long.

Oh, no hahaha. Yes, I've had a few comments in the past from non-natives (and natives, but from Latinoamérica), telling me that something isn't right. I'm not a robot and I can make mistakes, but many times it's the kind of thing that I know that I'm right and they insist that I am not, so, I just smile and agree hahaha :P

¡Gracias! Muy útil el 'estar a' con distancia y con tiempo. Estoy a 20 kilómetros de allí. Estoy a 5 minutos de allí. Cx
