Yeah, the previous DA declared that carrying knives is illegal in the subway. If you live in NYC it’s a royal PITA to go anywhere without taking the subway.

I have a criminal record in NY state. I come from VT across the lake, where you need no license to carry anything, gun racks are common in trucks. However NY state is legend for arresting fishermen from VT who have veered into NY patrolled waters and have a filet knife in their tackle box, no lie. So I was making a trip to upstate NY, I took everything I could think of out of my car, except the billy club used to prop up my hatch and a pepper spray disguised as a pager. I figured a wooden stick and pepper spray couldn't be illegal. So, of course I got caught in a speed trap around Indian Lake coming down a mountain road. The asshole cop searched the car and everyone. My friend had a pot pipe in her pocket, he arrested her for drug paraphernalia, scraped the pipe with a file and weighed the scrapings and charged her with drug possesion. Myself, I was arrested for possesion of a deadly weapon, the old nightstick used to prop up the hatch was illegal. So was the pepper spray, in NY having pepper spray is the same penalty as an unlicensed gun. He never found it however. NY state and NYC were recently slapped down by SCOTUSfor their continued violations of the 2nd ammendment. I HATE NEW YORK

@@nunninkav I livs in Ireland but collect knives of course, completely legal to import knives of all types except gravity knives, autos and ballisongs which of course is stupid because I can own a cold steel XL espada but not a small California legal auto😂 but besides that bs I can't carry any knife even a slip joint! I'm sure if you're carrying a victorinox you'd get away with it and if you're out camping you can carry knives within reason. All it would take is one asshole Garda (cop) and boom criminal record so I definitely understand your frustration 😂
