Should guys pay for the first date? it's tough now days because girls have careers and your basically asking a man to pay for your time for the chance to make you like him. See it like this, if you have a platonic guy friend, you'll probably split the bill with him. But as soon as the guy wants to date you he has to lowkey bankroll your recreational life for a few months. Back when I was single, I would ask a girl to go on a walk after coffee as a first date. It's crazy to expect dinner and a movie when there is no expected investment from the girl.
