Listen, I fully understand not remembering what you were doing in a game a week ago, but watching this game's vods in order means I watched Jacob meticulously make his way out of old guy's interrogation and house before saving and then immediately saw him fuss at the game for not leaving him where he saved and that is objectively hilarious.
there's something quite satisfying about all the little scene transitions as you move about in the game. Just the opening and closing of the journal and the doors makes my monkey brain go "hm, nice :)"

Lmao, he says emotions are archaic? Emotions, and especially the ability to socialize and cooperate, are highly evolved traits. Some of the most intelligent creatures are social and that's not a coincidence. There are also really good reasons for emotions. Some like fear keep us safe. Affection motivates us to protect our young and the others in our tribe because we depend on each other. We've only been able to build so much because we worked together. While TOO MUCH guilt can be the opposite of helpful in some cases, guilt exists for a very good reason. If we were all pissing each other off all the time while living in small tribes, we wouldn't survive very long.
It's interesting to see how occulty this game is. As a former male witch, I have done scrying with a mirror and with a pendant, and the mirror was the only one that worked for me. I'm really loving this game, and I'm looking forward to the next part.

This game is so strange. You ask the people a hundred questions and they give one sentence answers. Then once you find the right contradiction to move the plot along, the character suddenly has a monologue and tells you so much information its a strange change of pace.

So I've worked at McDonald's for a while and I can 100% certify that quarter pounder meat has as much of a chance of having sat in the heater for a while as Big Mac meat. Maybe it depends on locations, maybe some do them only when required, but I wouldn't assume that right off the bat unfortunately.

Well the beauty of it is everyone goes "oh he's crazy" and then as the story unravels it turns out he's right. Conspiracies do happen. That's the tricky part with "conspiracy theorist" as an insult/discreditor. For that reason these days people are more specific about it and call people anti-vaxxers, Qanon believers, flat earthers, etc. Labels that describe beliefs so obviously untrue they reflect very poorly on anyone who believes in them. James believes that celebrities and politicians engage in devil worship (he ignorantly calls it satanism, but that's not what it is and even uses the wrong symbol for it 🤟) and that these public figures/influencers use dogwhistles and subliminal messaging for their occult behavior. James also believes celebrities and politicians engage in human trafficking; that they deliberately influence people (starting young of course) into stripping their individuality and becoming easily manipulated worker bees. Both of James's beliefs are conspiracy theories. But as you've pointed out, the second theory of his is literally true.
