No disrespect to the first cat but being 27 getting paid 13.50 is crazy im turning 27 this month & im going to be a foreman by the end of the year!! Seriously bud I get it Hawaii is a tourist spot but McDonald is not it bro maybe as a part time cuz Hawaii is so expensive but to solely depend on that income is crazy I get paid 25/hr & I’m a lead man right now by the end of the year I’ll be 27-30/hr

To be fair, everyone's situation is different. I was climbing my career ladder and was an Operations Manager at Amazon, making just under 6 figures at 25 years old but I had to quit due to my schizophrenia diagnosis and now can't hold an entry level job. So yeah it's not my place to judge what other people got going on

Some of the reasons Americans don't have jobs at a younger age is not just labor laws, but also a lot more retirement aged people are still in the work force and are frequently hired at thesr lower skilled jobs where teenagers used to get their first job at. Plus we seem culturally to have shifted away from it as an expectation. I'm 26 and over my life I've seen even my Midwest cities shift to kids not wanting or expecting to get jobs.

In america, you can't work until you're 16. theres a few exceptions, of course Im 24, and im a part picker at a dealership. It's fun for me, very repeatitive and structured

I'm 23 and I do hardscaping. Such as retaining walls, pavers, rock & mulch beds, all sorts of plants such as palms to ordinary flowers &, bushes(etc), lay sod, trim and maintain everything, all sorts of stuff, I call it "the whole nineyards of hardscaping" because, it's hard to name off everything off the top of the dome. Been doing hardscape since 2018 or 2019. Been currently helping My 80 year old friend John with our ole pal Michael for over a year. Lets just say; our two-man crew is that of a 100 man army! I'm just grateful we get so much done in such short of time especially working in the FL sun is phenomenal. Especially when every customer is impressed and satisfied. Truly is fun for Me, I love a challenge! Been impressing everyone since I started working even till now.

Im 28 and I work what they call a 7: 30-5: 30 Mon-Fri and a 1/2 day on Saturday, no overtime and they make us sell extra stuff/Get Good Surveys to make more money. My real Job is trying to accomplish my Dreams with what little energy I have left after that. Always strive for more and don't let a day Job ruin your aspirations outside of that Job. I hope you are all doing well, if you aren't it's going to get better. EDIT: Put a space in between the Time I start and finish work so it wasn't a timestamp anymore.
