I've considered getting a Tesla for years, but since owning a Lexus Hybrid I don't think I want an EV anymore. In 5 years I've paid $0 in repairs and the maintenance is cheap because I change my own oil, changed the brakes once and tires.

@znismo1 41k included the taxes and fees. But, you're right, I was wrong. I actually received $10,500 in rebates... California had a $7,500 rebate for electric cars, and San Joaquin County residents received an additional $3,000k rebate... I actually paid $30,500 for a base model, Tesla.....

Spot on, like Chase said... It rattles a Lot. Interior build quality is lacking terribly. My ICE car, there's No interior rattling at all. But, using my Tesla for local shorter commuting, it's fine. Long road trips, I'll stick with my Toyota Camry.

We were at an auto show with 250 vehicles +. We test drove a jeep and a model y. The y rattled, was uncomfortable in the back, and everything felt cheaper and worse built than cars of the same price. I’d rather have a Prius, Kia k5, Camry, crown, older Lexus, etc.

To the gentleman currently in medical school. Some disappointing news for you. After medical school, unfortunately there's residency where we get the lovely experience of making around 60,000 a year while working 80 hours a week for 3 years at least. You most certainly will not be making $100,000 a year in residency Once you're done with residency, you will make no less than $250,000 a year Even as an outpatient primary care. Maybe pediatric get paid closer to lower $200. My first year out of medical school I made 52,000 then 56 and 57,000 a yr. My first year out of residency I made 350,000 as a primary care physician These are the true numbers

2023 model 3 here and I love mine! It’s definitely not a car for everyone from the simplicity to the way you have to charge it or distance of drive you might need to do but for me and my own lifestyle it works perfectly. Would love to have been able to trade it in clean and upgrade to the latest redesigned 2024 model but the constant price fluctuation really was my one biggest issue with Tesla. Other than that I’m basically a Tesla owner for a long time.

False !!! Read up Tesla way less likely crash . Crash test shows most cars total people dead. The battery pack helps stiffen car or truck. Walk away from crashes other auto you will not. Plus I had 800 payment on my Tahoe in 2001. It was hunk crap. And Tesla will sell you insurance way cheaper. Read up on

I just financed a beautiful 2018 Tesla Model S 100D for $30,000! Never buy new ones, way too expensive! I still have the 120,000 mile warranty with 52k miles on it when I bought it just a couple days ago. My payments are only $500; the same as a normal car.

All Teslas can "perform". The torque and less resistance on those vehicles are amazing. Yes you get to 0 to 60 faster on performance which I think is like 4 seconds but with a long range awd it is just 2 seconds more. I have driven performance and also long range awd and it really is just a fast moving car.

3:10 This is definitely how I feel. My p100d model s is by far the best car I've ever owned. The FSD is insanely awesome. The instant torque is out of this world. The app to control everything is very convenient. I absolutely love love love not having to go to a gas station anymore. I get free charging at my job so I get to drive for free while before I was paying $250 a month in gas and it's the safest car ever tasted. People forget about how safe it is compared to a gas car. You're least likely to get injured in a Tesla then any other car on the road, mainly because of the front crumple zone and you're not sitting on top of a 15 gallon flammable gas tank bomb that will explode if in a bad enough accident.

lol these people live in California. Whatever thier income is - take out 30% just for state tax. Then another 10-15% for everything else (401k, insurance etc). Someone that makes $100,000 really walking away with $30,000-$40,000 / year. That doesn't include rent and groceries lmao. You've gotta be making at least $175,000 - $200,000 to be able to comfortably afford to live and drive a tesla.

Yes, California is an expensive state to live in. But the state sales tax is not 30%. It is about 7.25% and the individual county sales taxes vary. The cost of operating a tesla or electric vehicle is cheaper than a gasoline powered vehicle because I no longer pay for gas, oil changes, tuneups, etc. NOTE: Electric vehicles are Not for everyone.

wait till these people start paying the mileage tax that is looming in 2026. We'll see how much they're "saving" when they get hit with the same regulatory and other hidden fees that other vehicles have that these guys currently aren't paying. They are all having a free ride right now which is the carrot. The stick is coming, then the taxes will slam home. It's how this stuff ALWAYS works, but so many people can't see it until it's too late. Not to mention, all high tech vehicles can be remotely disabled, which is another thing no one seems to think about.

Dont get me wrong I will buy one shortly, But Saving money>? Ha!!! Insurance rates are crazy So that for itsleft would pay for Half the year for gas. Anyway, there is always a tradeoff. No cheap rides anymore. and if the battery springs a couple or more bad cells a day or 2 after warranty?...... ?????ouch!!!
