I know this father well. He also has a scar just above the forelock from a botched attempt to wrestle a spotted Hyena in Ethiopia in 1971. At one time he pretended to keep wicket until I stung his hands with a couple of flat returns from the covers. The son is, surprisingly, sane. He has, fortunately, inherited many favourable genes on the X chromosome.
In under 13s we had a parents vs kids game at my cricket club. The kids boundary was brought in so it was almost like hitting a six was just hitting over the infield. For whatever reason my dad couldn't make it so a family friend took his place, and when bowling to me I hit my first ever six (impressive for such a shit batsman). I have no recollection of the bowling innings but 10/10 would play again.
