These are actually super close to the voices I created in my head for Ace and Luffy while reading for the first time.

i can imagine an alternate universe in which, akainu missed ace's body, so he lives. then jimbei, like in the original timeline, grabs luffy, but this time with ace. then, they both get the x mark. then ace trains with luffy with rayleigh. then there would be a chance that ace could join the straw hats, and reunite with sabo in dressrosa.
