Asmon on MrBeast being Awkward around His Friend that's Transitioning 

Well yeah and he was a guys guy, he was a bro. And all of a sudden overnight, here we are.... im honestly kinda confused

I kind of had a similar situation with a friend/co-worker of mine a few years ago. When I met them, they were male and identified as a male. We got along and we became good friends for some time. After 2-3 years, they decided to become transgender and identify as female. I was 100% ok and supported this, but because I was friends with them for so long, it took a while for me to adjust to the change and start calling them she instead of he. It also put me in this position that I had to be more careful with what I say that may considered offensive to them when it didn't bother them before. I say the phrase "dude" a lot for different situations and when I was having a conversation with them at work one day, I would say the word "dude" to them, but I wasn't calling her a dude or saying she was a he now, but they got so upset about it, they reported it to the manager and I got called into the managers office and I tried to explain the situation more, but they sided with her because they wanted to be more diverse and inclusive which is fine. I started to become more uncomfortable around them because I had to watch what I say and over time. I just stopped hanging out with them because it was hard to make those changes in the way I spoke in general without getting a red flag from them.

Well for me if my friend did this to me and turned out this way I'd be 100% ok with it. I don't just forget all that I've been through with him or she since we've known each other for so long. I'm one of those people that hate to make my friends and family feel hurt so I wouldn't be fazed by it knowing their family to me.

This is really good insight, yeah. Friends are people you can laugh and joke around with, you have things in common and can feel relaxed/comfortable around. But if that feeling dissappears you shouldn't be obligated to pretend otherwise. There shouldn't be an obligation to stay friends with someone or even treat them the same as before if they're no longer that person.

Transphobia doesn't exist, a phobia is an irrational fear. There is absolutely nothing irrational about not wanting to be around deranged people who mutilate themselves and think they're a different gender.

The moment you have to be "careful" around a friend is the moment the friendship is no longer there. And after that $75,000, we get $10,000 a month and follow up appointments and medication for the rest of their lives. This is why we are pay colleges and medical institutions to do research on this stuff and make it cheaper for us so we can continue to get that government subsidy for trans people.
