Crimson Desert looked like 16 different games in one. I saw the AC style climbing, some Zelda BotW/TotK style magic, some Just Cause style mayhem, GTA/RDR style highjacking, and sooooo much more. God I REALLY hope it's actually good
Personally I don't think they can make a game of this scope. Seems too good to be true. It is the classic gaming industry tactic, show what is never possible today
@@alvnoahlmao has no one played black desert? It will be this good believe it and some of the mechanics are re used assets that already exist so everything you see in that gameplay is just a way more polished black desert
A *lot* of people are going to have a rude awakening with this newfound interest in "Armored Souls"... My main concern is the horrible equivocations to try to justify AC being relative to a souls-borne esque game in any capacity to justify their sycophantic support without even actually liking the genre. In that regard, I think its going to be taken in the wrong light and be unfairly criticized and review bombed for NOT being a souls like... Ill be surprised if it does well beyond the initial monster hype train (itll succeed financially, no question, but I have doubts on the longevity and critical reception of it). But yeah, any time asmongold has more than 2 enemies on the screen, he mentally devolves into a toddler and starts losing his mind... I dont think he understands theres going to be points where *dozens* of enemies will be attacking you at the same time. Hell even back in armored core 2 youd have those bullshit missions against *multiple* ac's lol. Its gonna be a fun train wreck to watch, but a train wreck it shall be.
For those who are curious, Crimson Desert is and will be a Singleplayer/Coop game. - They have an entirely upgraded AI/Engine system. - It's not an MMO, it's just an RPG with MMO-like features/systems. - This will be a story focused game with a lot of events like RDR2 and ways to play the game. // I am mostly excited to finally play an RPG game at this scope that has a seamless Coop....
Never heard about it, i read your post, im hyped. Dont need MMOs anymore I guess. (not until there is some real innovation) But defenetly need Coop RPG with good (and even with ok-ish) storys until I die
@@bAtACt1X I'm at that point that the only MMOs I am excited are the Riot MMO and Ashes of Creation. Other than that, I'm at the point where I just want a huge RPG with MMO-like features a with replayability or gameplay for hundreds of hours... Nonetheless COOP that is seamless unlike Elden Ring (I know they have the mod that allows seamless play) but I want it embedded in the game.
@@eleesium8407 well im hyped for riotMMO too, not because they got the money to get it done, but because of a lorevideo here on youtube. Was kind of an eyeopener why the anime series was that good. Rich and fascinating lore has allways been a key to the best books, games, films whatever. Problem is: The guys with hands on the cashflow always want to play it safe.... and even the best lore cant hype me for a MMO I already have somehow played a few times. Well we hope! The Universe is just to coll to not get more amazingh games
@@ArmisHart So news on the street is rn it's just a 50/50.... The devs originally (and at multiple times have said it's going to be Sinelplayer/COOP on launch). But now PEOPLE are saying that it'll be singleplayer and later have a COOP match/mode..... If we go based on every interview / translation and even THEIR OWN dev videos where they talked about each game..... They said explicitly that it'll be COOP...... At this point we know it is going to be COOP, whether a year later or on launch... But we don't know if it'll be a form of GTA style where you can't do story mode w/ friends just regular quests/side quests.
Crimson Desert is the most ambitious game i have seen in quite some time, its hard to describe but the scope feels next gen. Maybe its just an illusion from the short trailers, lets hope it ends up being actually good.
Yeah it seems like Elden Ring but with a less dark fantasy setting and more holistic open world design ideas w all the destruction and traversal options and towns
Crimson Desert is the best example of MMO developers using their billions of dollars in an actually good way. Of course we won't know for sure until it comes out, but by the trailers, the only issue i could ever imagine is optimization.
@@thomgizziz instead of typing that comment you could have just typed ''hsr game'' into youtube or google, idk why people love creating problems in areas where there aren't one.
Last epoch is different. If they just would've used a real engine and not some mobile game one... Last epoch had the chance to beat poe and diablo at being the best arpg. I still love that game even with it's garbage mobile graphics style.
@@davidtoowavy1648 I guess reading is not your strength? The skill trees are perfect in last epoch, the perfect mix of casual and complexity (diablo is to simple, path of exile just annoying) But last epoch stands no chance towards both games because it looks like a garbage f2p title and the weight of battle is barely existing. AND THOSE THINGS ARE ENGINE DEPENDENT.
For granblue relink: its a hack and slash rpg with ideas taken from monster hunter and the tales series. Based on dev gameplay, it looks like itll be pretty lit
@@ILoveGrilledCheese I’ve never played BDO, does it have the Assassins Creed like climbing/movement and destructible environments? Might have to look into it if so
happy armored core is finally getting the recognition after 23 years of its installments its always been a great game with a niche customer but once your in your hooked
As someone who has put 100 hours into Snowrunner (SWITCH) , the GOTY comments during the Expeditions are on point, they know what's up. I thought that too "why would I play a game where I'm stuck in the mud and gotta figure out how to get out " hahaha , I never played racing games or sim games and one day I tried Snowrunner.. it literally is what you described, but the immersion and feelings of achievement and loss you feel playing it really cannot be grasped in words. Especially when you've been working for 2 hours real time because your flatbed trailer flipped and you have to get that cargo outta the marsh with a heavy loader crane and rescue that vehicle cuz you can't afford the bill to send a rescue out. Or you have less than a gallon of gas left in your rig that's hauling all your other vehicles and you are so... Close... To the pump.. and you hear your engine puttering off and you coast using momentum to just barely bump into the pump. You're yelling at the TV in victory believe me like no other game could make you do, high stakes gameplay Expeditions with drones base building and more tools to run and use, gonna be so awesome
Jedi Survivor is definitely a good game, though. Ubisoft also has some niche games I like. I understand their bad reputation but it gets really tiring seeing gamers bash them all the time. I think we get it.
@@antgc8893people were also saying blue protocol looks absolutely fantastic before, and it flopped just few months after the Jp release. So let's not get too ahead of ourselves there, let's see what happen in the future.
@@ymw1107 Well, atleast GBF Relink is an offline game. So it won't depend on live service elements like Blue Protocol. It's the full package on release.
@@grass842 iirc aren't GBF a gacha? BP was also not advertised as a gacha when its first reveal, people thought it's a anime style mmo that would turn out fantastic, everyone ws overhyping it up like crazy, and it's only when beta started people found out how scummy the monetization system was. All I'm saying is, tempt your expectation.
Atleast starfields on gamepass so technically you only need to spend full price on one game. If you end up loving starfield then obviously can buy it. I’ve been dying for a new armored core game since I was a wee teen.
@@DragonWarrior63I deadass feel like stocking up on game pass codes because I know that after they acquire ActiBlizz, the price of game pass gonna go up and it's not gonna feel as free as it was.
Lmao if this game was made by any other studio no one would give a shit about it and say it's basic as hell. But since it's made by from software and it's trendy to suck them, you all say it looks absolutely fantastic and amazing even tho you've never played a mech game in your life, it looks like a basic as shit PS2 game
@@fernandozavaletabustos205I don't know where you're from but despite what right wing people say, Germany is quite safe. I can't recall when I ever saw a security guy in from of a band playing. While looking at footage of the USA nearly every event has that...
@@davidpelaez7176 not specifically but they did fall into that category. Seems kinda weird to be at a game showing and show cinematics instead of gameplay. Leaves an awkward taste in my mouth
@@DB-fy7qlI'm not sure how Starfield falls into that category at all, there's +60 minutes of gameplay breakdowns by the devs themselves and just 2 minutes of a live TV commercial, based on your logic, game developers are not allowed to do cgi/live trailers anymore lol. They already showed you the game, they're just rightfully marketing the game with a TV ad that can reach more casual audiences.
@@davidpelaez7176 my guy thanks for putting extra words in my statement I never said. Obviously marketing wants cinematics to sell the game to casuals, which in turn leaves my statement. Why are we showing cinematics on the main stage of gamescom where die hard gamers are the audience? Do you want to see how the game plays? Or how pretty they can splice sections to be?
Because that's exactly whats happening to that studio. Many studios within China are notoriously known in the industry for these breath-taking vertical slices made in UE5 for the sole purpose of attracting investors and shareholders. Their first trailer came out around 2019-2020, and it was just a breath-taking walking simulator with the graphics on max because it's just one level being rendered. Come release, they'll neuter the texture and lightning details a bit but the gameplay has always looked very solid so I am looking towards the challenge it may bring
DUDE, FOR ARMORED CORE 6, YOU SHOULD NOT CARE ABOUT ANY OTHER GAME OUT THERE...IF, YOU WERE A "REAL GAMER." Otherwise, Your just in it like the rest to Monetize Your Channel, like You really know what your talking about!??
A ad ruined my thoughtfuly typed out comment but destiny will always be a life changing game from me coming off fall out 4. Vault of glass. Prisioner of eldors and trials of orisirias are huge memories for me. Alsdk knowing where zur was every Friday instead of banging my girl at 6am when i got up for work lmao.
It LOOKS cool... but I've played a lot of nexon games to know they are going to overpriced the cosmetics, the future of the game will be butchered or taken down and monthly events are going to be confusing AF.
Other several things to point out about Armored Core 6: - AC6 has a lot of replay value due to the decisions made throughout the campaign (that includes multiple endings), as well as the unlockables of New Game + and beyond! - For all newcomer Ravens, you DO NOT need to have played the previous AC games to get into this one, very similar on how Final Fantasy dev teams create its titles. - Plays different from Souls - same smooth, responsive controls. - Long range arsenal: bazookas, gatling guns, split missiles, plasma rifles and more. - Melee weaponry: Cluster bomb thrower, chainsaw, pulse blade, lances and more. - The movement speed is between AC3 and AC5 - There is a heavy on customization. - Tons of custom paint jobs and the posibility of downloading weapons for making decals. - Legs are one of the most important parts of your mech, because they determine how much weight your vehicle can carry. - Your power engine / energy source is on other one as it modifies the amount of energy available, as well as how slow or fast your energy bar will recharge, when its depleted.
@@juliadwiggins-jo3fo unfortunately it won't matter the character, asmon will still focus too much on the other weapons and only get the first skill around the 10 minutes.
Little Nightmare should explore the story after Six gained power, and see what happened to Mono as well. This changing of main characters and forgetting all about the past ones is pretty crap.
I remember buying Gothic 1 on a whim, a box on the top shelf and the local game store. Turned out to be a surprisingly deep and curious game. This and Deus Ex, somehow random finds that turned out to be fucking amazing
