Just as a warning: Right now on the beta there are 2 big issues for this, so I either recommend making a back up and playing on this version or not patching. #0) Nothing with the patch, but once you hit 28 minutes step down to see all Candels. This LOWERS their spawn rate and almost removes the chance of picking up freezes. Freezes mess over minute 28/29 XP farming by a ton. #1) 2 new Arcana. Speed and Projectile are not mandatory, but reaching 200 is the biggest issue. However, this kills the easy method since it's not infinite, so I highly recommend going for Bloody Tear. #2) Cats get nerfed. Instead of getting 1 damage per chicken, they start at 1-(1/108), but with a minimum of 0.05. In other words that means if you picked up 108 chickens, you only add 0.05 damage to them, and every prior chicken is a lot less damage. There is only 1 good way of dealing with that but it's not nice. #1) You get your Spinach back. Clover is now useless. The main reason for Clover was to farm a lot more chickens, but now they are redundant. #2) Hellfire is a killing machine and it would be needed in a build with Bloody Tear. #3) The problem is instead of being optional Arcana, they now become mandatory Arcana. That means the run might be over at 11 minutes or 21 minutes if you don't get them. You need the one that makes Hellfire explode on contact and the one that makes it bounce. The bouncing is not necessary, but means its less likely to succeed. #4) The build: Vandalier (optional, can also ban Peachone when its offered alone. The huge benefit is a game mechanic that gives level up choices of weapons you own based on your luck, so you max out Song of Mana insanely fast), Song of Mana, Hellfire, Bloody Tear, Gatti Amari, Gorgeous Moon. For passives, it's Hollow Heart, Armor, Crown, Spinach, Duplicator, Candelabrador, Empty Tome. #4.1) Optionals: Gatti Amari can be removed. However, this will mean the Death kill will take A LOT longer. Like, a lot a lot. If Gatti Amari is removed, then Gorgeous Moon can also be removed. The weapon is actually horrible given the game mechanic of scaling up enemies based on your level. Yes, you gain a quick XP boost on kills, but after that everything is a lot harder to kill so you get way less experience out of it. The main benefit of it is it acts like a Vacuum. However, without cats, you can just keep 1 on the floor. This also means keep all Rosary on the floor to nuke wave 29 as often as you can. **I can't stress enough how much longer it will take to do this without cats. Post nerf you are probably looking at 300 minutes, if not more, instead of 60 minutes (post 30 minutes) #4.2) However, there is a benefit that can be drawn. Since you are not forced to level up anymore the Death will have a lot less HP if done right. >This is a guide without Gatti Amari< Step 0: Remove pick up range power-up. Gatti Amari and Moon will be replaced with (untested) Holy Wand (also gains bounces) > NO FUTURE > Thunder Loop > Death Spiral. Since there is no open passive weapon slot you have no choice but evolve based on what you have or go for a none-evolved weapon. However, there is a really difficult but working way that can use cats: If you keep a weapon slot for them open and have all of your skips left, you can end the game with only 5 weapons. Once you vacuum all XP which is mentioned later and gamble to get Gatti Amari. Make sure you used your banish on common weapons to lower the weapon pool. In this method do not pick up chickens, they will spam pick up chickens in seconds. Step 1: Stop leveling up once you are maxed out. Avoid any red gem. In fact, avoid as much movement as possible. You should be at around level 80. Banning Vandalier is huge to save level up costs. Step 2: At this point you need: A freeze and a Vacuum around you. Step 3: Stand above the Candelabras out of vision so they keep respawning. Your goal is as many Rosaries as possible for wave 29. HOWEVER, the worst thing that could happen to you is picking up a Rosary and a Vacuum is below it. Sometimes there are so many items you can't see it. If that happens, you just tripled the amount of time it will take to kill the Reaper. If you cant say for sure that there is only a Rosary it becomes a gamble of "Do I believe in hitting 200 or do I take the chance at a Vacuum pick up to use the Rosary for XP" Step 4: The freeze is necessary to freeze the Death. Use it at 29:58 so you have enough time to pick up the Vacuum AFTER 30:00 and wait until the XP flies in. Level ups make you invulnerable. Step 5: You should be 200, easily. Now the biggest problem is killing the Reaper before your computer burns up. If you went for Gatti Amari at 30 minutes, this will be a ton faster.

I absolutely LOVE how much fun he's having with this game. Theres still a lot of juice to be sucked out from this game so I hope he sucks it all before moving on from it

Has 1hp - chooses armour. God level strat. Dies in a single hit - Avoids laurel which will save him endlessly. God level strat. Complains he has no damage - refuses to upgrade the bird. Asura level strat.
People may be spamming KEKW in the chat but this is genuinely difficult. You have way less time to react and cant afford to make any mistake at all, like you barely outspeed the first wave of monsters if you move up or down, if you move diagonal they will catch up to you quickly
For sure. And the exp is relatively tight, as the most successful run showed. Getting the right Gorgeous Moon timer so it goes off twice on the 29min mobs is also a huge deal.
The early game is hard too. It’s annoying to reset for 5 minutes to get starting garlic just to have another chance at winning. Even after you reach lvl 200 and you can go infinite vs the reapers, it takes a long time to kill 1(3 hours+).
I mean he's intentionally going an awful build and then when he dies he acts like he doesn't know why for content. I don't know if it's just me but it's pretty obvious he's acting it up really hard for the stream
I know its too late to tell him, but you need the cats to eat the chicken for them to perform better and to not hit you. You need to feed the cats about 20+ chickens in order for them to not scratch you and attack enemies more.

I was thinking that he was purposely making those horrible decisions to fire up his chat and keep them engaged. He can get way more streams out of this game if he doesn't beat it and keeps his chat freaking out as well.
This game is a lot more in depth than it seems on the surface. So much customisation and different builds you can use. Also loads of unlockable content you can achieve by just playing the game. I did try the game myself but I suck and kept dyiny early on but still it was fun
yeah, did Clerici strat, did it on second try. Only downside was that i didnt have the arcana for Crits. so it took me 5 minutes to kill the first reaper. (with the slash arcana you can prob kill him in less than a minute)
I just beat the reaper yesterday and I think Asmons doing pretty well for only 2 hours. A good indicator your doing well is if your around lv40 by 7 minutes and lv100 by 17 minutes. Crown early on and song of mana at the beginning is fantastic. Make the rest up with skill and rngesus.

Food only buffs the cats if They pick it up, not when you level and pick it since they didn't interact with it. On top of the fact that at 10k hp, 60 health healed isn't that much really.
Man, why does he keep going whip evolve over garlic evolve. Garlic evolve actually does insane damage on Toasty because if you revive after lvl 100 it counts as healing 10000+ health and maxes out the damage.
all you need to beat the reaper is Laurel evolved into crimson shroud, and clock lance evolved into infinite corridor, and then pick any other weapons like santa water or something that heals you a little bit.. with crimson shroud you only take 1 dmg for anything that hits you, and with infinite corridor you half all enemies hp each time u hit them, making the reaper quick and easy
Shouldn't he try to go for ebony wings to evolve his peachone, since he'll have an empty weapon slot until he decides it's time for pentagram. If he focuses on the birds and successfully evolves them he'll get vandalier which is obviously better because it's evolved, and he'll get a extra slot for pentagram which he can try to save his 3 rerolls for. And honestly that tiragisu strategy is pretty good, getting those extra stat bonuses will probably help in the long run.
1:14:00 was a legendary run already. Clutched it with the revives and pentagram in the last moment. Too bad he had to go garlic, because item drops were **** ASS. It`s infuriating, seeing the game not give him "secret of mana" level 2 over and over again.
I made the run the other day with reaper-kill around 90th minute. Trick is to banish peachone early, and just max out song and garlic within 6 mins. also when weapons are maxed, you should use "skip level" to gain some extra jumps up, because lvl 200 is a clutch achievement no matter what you do. But my faith in RNGesus' grace pulled me through. Cats were so fed on chicken they did over 500 dmg pr tick at the end.
I find attractorb being the fastest way to gain exp. Getting levels faster and safer begets faster levels. It's not as good a choice if you're going pentagram though.
the success of Vampire Survivors shows that a GOOD game is much more important than a GOOD LOOKING game. Photo realistic graphics aren't the end all be all. And that's part of the reason why the Switch is still going strong while using 7-year-old hardware (which wasn't even cutting edge when it launched lol)
"Birds are useless" Asmongold, mate, even if ya find them ass getting Ebony early would be good because A) You can free the slot Ebony takes earlier, and B) You're already bound to Peachone by the character. Think about it: If you're stuck with trash, wouldn't it be best to make the most of it?
i like how most of the buffs are italian words put in a way that english speakers can say peachone for example is "piccione" = pidgeon and gatti amari is litterally " bitter cats"
If you take tiragisu and only take the first point then use up all of your revives, tiragisu disappears and you can get it again at least once, netting you 3 revives off of tiragisu. I might be wrong about the mechanic though. It could be that if you put 2 points in it it will still disappear and allow you to get it again. Not sure though.
You need armor, heart, duplicator, crown, clower and candle. But first use tiramisu to get the buffs so instead of one of those. Then get the tome as 7th item. If you dont do that you will not outheal the Reaper with the Whip. You can also banish the bird so the game dont offer it to you. This is great becouse since you start with it its higher chance you get it offered which you dont want.
@@fai1t0liv3 its not that extremely hard after you know what to build, you can clearly see him trowing, he literally watched a guide and seconds after already pretends to not know what he is suposed to get and so on. He also doesn't want laurel because that will prevent him from randomly dying, which is what he wants in order to lose and tilt the viewers.
Garlic is fine for this run. The reason he didn't get to level 200 was he got cats so late. Getting cats early so they can get tons of chicken damage powerups is the whole point. From the guide I watched anyway. Looks like the way to do it changes with the cat nerf.
I don't wanna be flashy with Toasty cause it takes longer from what i've seen from other seasoned players. Decided to go with the 30 min afk method then get all stuff when Reaper appears. Just unlocked Red Death with Clerici 30 minutes ago. Used a guide from Never Nathaniel channel.
It is so stupid that he doesn't use Ebony Wings, if he likes the ability or not, Toastie has it anyway so it's just a wasted slot, why keep the slot occupied with only Peachony if you could have the Evolution?
Maybe someone can answer this... Can "The Reaper" be defeated on any stage/level? I was playing as Mi Kujino (The ? Character) on the Dairy Plant stage, and while The Reaper killed me straight away like always, once I revived, I was somehow invincible. At first, I was moving and thought I was somehow evading the attacks as long as I kept moving. I literally did this for 20mins, watching all of the damage I was inflicting. Then I decided to stop moving... Still invincible! So I let the game sit. After hitting 40mins (1hr 10m) fighting The Reaper, I was convinced I wasn't gonna kill it. Am I wrong? Aside from the FULLY evolved whip, the remaining weapons I had were area based, but these were all evolved too. I was doing a lot of damage. Or was I simply riding a game breaking glitch?
The reliance on garlic way past the point he should be using it. With 1 health, you need laurel and max empty tome. Not sure why no crimson shroud and infinite corridor, either. Plus, the secret of mana, even.morphed is outperformed by other skills.
Push an early evolution of any ability but pentagram, and its easy, if you can consistently push through mobs early and keep the levels coming in on toastie. Asmon's main problem is he's trying to setup an endgame build too early, which hurts his early leveling
this was so fun to watch honestly some of my favorite shit i have watched in a while, especially because i have been grinding this game for a while and its just so fun to play

lol his chat is flipping out that he doesn't get the chicken, but he's got a ton of life regen and lifesteal to go alongside 10k max hp and 13 armor which makes him literally unkillable.
