WSup boys! Zeds here, I edited the beginning and skiped the setup configuration to get to character creation :) This is the first vod of the channel and I would like to thanks Asmongold for all his amazing content and all the community! Thanks for watching!
Same, I actually did watch all of the Asmon's Elden ring playthrough. I play it when Im playing a singleplayer game, doing something and sometimes even rewatch other episodes when trying to fall asleep. Makes me feel like Im not alone and a bro is just playing in the same room as me
now that i finished the game myself, i kinda binge watch every elden ring content. to be honest. this is the most intense tree sentinel battle, 4 tries huh? its hard to believe if its really his first time playthrough, if it really is. well... ladies and gentlemen, he's a gamer alright.
He was given the opportunity to play-test prior to the official launch. The play-test was like 2-4 weeks before the official launch if I recall correctly. During that play-test he died a lot to the tree sentinel for at least an hour or two. He live-streamed the play-test on his main twitch channel and had 50K-100K viewers. It was shortly after his return to his main channel after his long hiatus.
Buying this game on launch was the worst purchase of my life (had never played a Souls-level game before, more of an Elder Scrolls/Kingdoms of Amalur kinda guy). Loved the lore behind it and how it looked, so picked it up, but was immediately smacked down time after time. I played like 4 hours, didn't get past the big troll guy at the entrance of the first castle/fortress thing, and just rage quit, haha. Very quickly learned that I do not enjoy games this difficult, but I do enjoy watching other people who are good at games play them.
I just finished xQc's playthrough so watching this should be refreshing as Asmon talks a lot and is good at the game with a chat that actually talks instead of constantly memeing and spamming the same emotes over and over again, the exact opposite of our favorite juicer and his weird chat
I wish I could experience Asmon playing this game for the actual first time again without knowing anything myself was a true masterpiece. This will definitely bring back some great memories tho.
in the meantime i am playing world of warcraft for the first time since 2016. i never made it past level 20 because i had a trial account. but holy shit there is a lot content in this game.
@@PG-zl7qbbro I kept dying to the horse guy I just beat him cuz of this video my first ever souls game btw only game I’ve played like this not really is gow
No just mmo’s specifically WoW because it’s just point and click. Despite playing every other souls like game and the beta and still can’t and hasn’t grasped the most basic concepts that are basic since Dark Souls. He talks so much shit but has no idea what he is talking about or what he is doing. He is a bot with copium running through his veins. Like he is actually brain dead.
i remember i played a mage and stood on top of the building in that area and the tree sentinel just stood there looking like an idiot while o just shot pebble at him lol. so easy.
Thank you for putting these together, I'm surprised he doesn't have a vod channel set up as well. Glad that you have done it, watched this all on twitch but heck I want to watch it again Elden Ring is the best. 🧡
Asmon playing on keyboard is half the issue he had with controls, also watching him struggle for however long he did with figuring out pouches only to give up was torture, he opened it immediately after and I thought it was gonna click for him but apparently not. The lock on complaining while he’s using a mouse for view controls had me fuming.
Joe Soap: "Elden Ring is too hard!" Asmongold: Takes hours to use the Pouch or Weapon Arts, took forever to learn how to swing on the other side of Torrent, didn't know that two-handing weapons reduces their requirements, left 20 metric tonnes of loot laying around on the floor, butchered his build, didn't bother buying crafting items (etc), and still had fun dunking the game with basic Halberd attacks. Truthfully, all you need are decent fundamentals to do well in these games (eg. patience, learning enemy mechanics, punishes, etc).
Just bought this game yesterday as my first souls game 😅 avoided the sentinel and have just picked some flowers and killed some random mobs so far though. Trying to run a “paladin build” I saw on RU-vid using the confessor class
I can just picture Miyazaki watching this and he sees his excitement at beating soldier of Godrick… just smirking at his optimistic ignorance… hahahaha yessss
Impressive. I have to learn how to be less greedy. Have only beaten this guy with two of my chars and that was many levels later, and with summons. But this is my first dark souls like game.
Asmon seems to hate playing casters in Elden Ring. Joke's on him because a good caster in PvP is actually a nightmare to face. Bad caster players tend to spam only 1 spell, and don't seem to change up their playstyle even when the opponent is simply rolling everything and punishing. Good casters start with a spell to make you roll, and then use a different spell after to catch the opponent's roll. One of my favorite combos is a running Carian Slicer into Gavel of Haima into Unendurable Frenzy. If someone rolls the Slicer or gets staggered by it, they're very likely to be put in the blender and literally spell combo'd to death. The way to avoid getting combo'd is actually a smart roll away, and a swift punish after the Gavel. Fortunately for the caster, Carian Slicer is a very low-commitment spell, and is very hard to punish after the target rolls it if the caster is ready to evade after a wiff.
after playing Kingdom come deliverence I wanted an easier game.... god I was wrong...this game was amazing I didnt even mind dying so often all the new stuff 30 hours into the game new area introduced in a cool way ...like wtf Is this DLC no...is a new area ...wow u get your moneys worth
My first play through was 125hrs I didn't look stuff up I just played and searched and went and beat everything. If it wasn't for having ti do different endings I would have platinumed my first playthrough. I discovered everything, was showing my friend who'd had game since day 1 new things
Tree Sentinel is one of the nastiest bosses you'll face, until you get to Radahn or maybe the Valiant Gargoyles. I killed him eventually, but never really mastered his move set and had to resort to cheesing him! I've just beaten Morgott in my playthrough and am now heading into the mountaintops of the giants, and I'd still put Tree Sentinel among the top three hardest bosses I've faced so far.
I will express my joy like an elden ring character: Rise ye tarnished! Your journey will be hard as you filthy tarnished must not become elden lord may the demi gods stop thyself..
Did you do Caria manor to the north of rennala? If so maybe altus plateau next. Map will show you a tunnel on the northeast edge of the lake. Or Caelidhl ha. Whatever you want
@@KarpetBurn thank you fellas, just defeated the fire giant and am now repeating this lost thing now, can’t burn the thorns and I don’t necessarily wanna look up and spoil it
I have no fucking clue how streamers pay attention to the chat. Shit goes by so fast on some of the bigger channels that it seems like really interacting with people is impossible. I also kinda hate how influenced streamers are by their chats
