Zenimax: "we know you guys havent really been that desperate for it but fuck it, enjoy the upcoming Necromancer class" Blizzard: "you want more azerite gear? of coarse you do. Its the best, isn't it? we know what our customers want"
I can tell by listening to asmon he has not look into the game as a whole, crafting is huge for sets!!! yes you can have people craft for you but what fun is that!!! come on asmon embrace the game!!!!!!
This is 100% true, lots of my strongest sets on my charecters i have crafted myself, you also can put your specific needs as glyphs and trait gems also adding you're own style to it on top of all of this!
context is important. in MMOs liek wow you pay a monthly fee AND the expansions. in ESO you EITHER pay a fee OR the expansion. not BOTH. if you sub you get access to all past expansions without buying them. so its is for free in that context. in wow you have to pay for both regardless. you even have to pay a fee even if you jsut own BC.
@@MikePhantom I think you have outdated information, because in WoW with each new exp previous one goes to the "free pool", which can be played with just a subscription. But if you want to play the current exp - you have to pay for it
@@ondrejmilich it's just a word, jeez you are so triggered. they're not mad about it, maybe the word choice was a bit exaggerated and would be better with smth with less serious connotations but... who gives a fuck... oh, you do lmao.
I love Asmongold but he definitely says things that are untrue and he has no facts for all the time to fit his agenda. I remember when he was reacting to the top hardest raid bosses in wow video and when he saw Kiljaeden he made this stupid face even though he admits he never did it on progression. For some reason he has this idea that hes a hardcore raider when hes never been one. He pretends like he knows how pre nerf raid bosses were when he never did them too. Thats why i like when Preach is on allcraft because Asmongold doesnt boast like he knows everything because he knows Preach is a better player. He does the same thing in ESO, he plays it for 2 seconds then pretends he knows what hes talking about.
I love how Nixxiom said "You guys know what i'm talking about ". And i love that he said that because Asmon would watch it on stream :D We know what you mean
The problem with asmongold is he makes too much assumption over his MMO experiance. ESo crafting is needed bcuz it give a ton of perks and money. Getting capped crafting will make you save tons of money just from upping your gear to legendary. in ESO your raid loot are purple and not legendary so you must craft the upgrades.
There is no way to taunt more than one enemy at a time normally. Because of this, you may find players advising you to not worry about getting them all. If you ask me, *DO NOT* listen to those players, you'll lower the effectiveness of your team by doing that. Get them all and round them all up so that your team can melt them in one spot instead of scrambling for their lives and/or chasing enemies who are on the loose. The 15 second taunt will last long enough for you to stick it on all enemies.
WoW player mentality in a nutshell="how can I do as much damage/healing/tanking as I can while using the least amount of abilities/effort?" asmongold and his fellow cringy cancerous WoW fanboy fans like to pretend that isnt what they do but in reality it is, with how many abilities u have in WoW u will inevitably just pick as few as u can to do as much damage/heal/tanking with as little effort as possible
You can't say you know leveling in this game is too easy if you were level 9, you are 41 levels from champion status and 810 more levels after that my dude
It’s all from start to end game, horizontal progression. It’s not about how hard something is and climbing higher, it’s more about refining your ability. Once you unlock a majority of your base abilities at level 50, you start to refine your character using the champion point system. You start to refine your gear selection to what works for your play style and what you want to do with it.
Lol about those chat comments on Alcast's accent.. I find that the accent from Texas is quite funny too (saying this although English is my 2nd language); or the British accent which seems to be spoken with a broom up the arse; or... you get the drift
Fully agree with author's opinion on crafting tip. It is waste of skill points on low lvl. Set equipment looted from monsters or chests is way better than you can craft. The only thing is worth to learn is Extraction skills, to have better items when you destruct stuff you don't need.
There's leader boards for trials/raids, ranks in war and bg! Note that end game content is mechanically heavy, gear is half the battle and mechanics is the rest!
It's true innit. You don't know what to do so you fuck about and find master chest or someshit. it's awesome. you find metal nodes, you find enchant stuff. grass and shit. cool.
asmongold's cancerous fans in a nutshell=bash the small spell rotations of ESO but then have a tonne of the action bars full of abilities on WoW but only use abilities on one bar for everything.
Would it make sense if all loot drops from bosses and mobs were changed to ores and materials to make things? It never made sense to me that a dragon would drop the helmet I want. It would make professions much more important if all good gear in the game had to be crafted but you had to get the materials to craft them from drops. Also make it to where you need to be in major cities to buy various ingrediants and crafting stations are only in the major cities, this would make being in the cities a bigger part of the game and feel more alive. Make professions a challenge and take allot of time to learn and master high level crafting. You would actually be an important part of a guild if you were a master at a certain profession. Oh man, that guy can craft the epic helm I need because he has put 200 hours into blacksmithing, lets recruit him into our guild.
I agree with crafting. There's no point in actually crafting until you're lvl 50 with 160 CP points invested. However it takes like 6 months + to lvl some crafting skills. So you want to start asap, so when you hit 160 you can craft better gear for higher lvl content.
5:15 Many of the crafted gear sets are absolutely viable at end-game. Also, maxing out one craft per character isn't too difficult, and will be a huge help when it comes to making adjustments to gear (basically reforging the traits). It's not mandatory. But it's nice to have the option. Not to mention it's pretty handy to be able to disassemble the f***ton of less-useful gear this game tried desperately to pack your inventory full of; you just convert it all to mats.. Also, gear isn't really worth worrying about until you hit level 50 and reach 160 CP. Prior to that point, just wear the best thing you happen to find..
He is in a way right about Crafting, you dont need it. You can get by fine without crafting your own gear, but like everything in ESO, crafting isnt something you HAVE TO DO, its something your WANT to do. And thats in first line because of all the Freedom you have with it. Lets make an easy example: You are a two handed Warrior, and you find alot of Shock swords, but you really want a flame sword. GO to a town, craft a Twohander of the style you want, give it the Trait you want it to have, then go to an enchanter station and make that fire rune, enchant your sword, bam, you have your burning twohander. Or would you prefere a burning Axe? A Burning Hammer? You decide. Thats the beauty of ESO. In Vanilla WoW, every Blacksmith was running around with the exact same heavy armor at Level 40, because they had to. In ESO, you run around like you want. And even lategame you get freedom. You will get the dropped Sets, because to be honest, the crafting sets are just inferior. BUT after you got one, you can change the Trait it has, you can change the Enchantment it has...
Right now I wouldn't do any questing levels 1-50 go fast go pick up skyshards start on every zone do the outside ones once your about level 15 pick up the ones in the delves and unless you grouped I would not bother doing the public dungeouns once your about CP 200 you can start be able to solo the public dungeouns by picking up skyshards you will find gear to help you level to 50.one quest line you can do is the main quest line is fun and it awards you with several skill points.i forgot to mention after level 50 there is 810 more levels called champion points gear stops scaling at 160.
7:10 You can fence the items in the Thieves Guild, for gold. Or you can pay the fence to launder the items. Meaning they are no longer considered stolen at all. In the latter case, you do keep the item, of course. There's a fee, but it's not that much.. The guards take the items back and issue a fine, if they catch you..
2mins in asmond doesn’t know if you should be aloud to do something that makes the game more fun. Face it asmond your addiction is dead. Don’t die with it.
The thing about crafting that at low level it's not really worth it as you can get better gear as drops. When you hit high level you get better items from crafting, but you need to research a lot of stuff, so it's beeter to start the crafting at lower levels to get ready for the higher levels.
So I do something a lot of people don't enjoy doing - I actually go on a skyshard hunt before I start really questing. There are plenty of guides and maps out there with the different skyshard locations. That way I have a crap ton of point to play with. It's not for everyone, but anyone can improve their sneaking skills with points. You do have extra skills that help with stealth as a Nightblade.
Btw this aint a weekly based game. If u want to be #1pvp in eso u need to pvp 24/7 to get the stats. If you dont play for a day or week you go from #1 to #100+
"I've leveled" to what, 10? Still got 40 to go, then hundreds (well, at least 170. But more is better) of Champion Point levels to go. STFU about that, Asmongold. This isn't WoW. You haven't played it for a decade and a half. 7:30 damn, that brings back memories. I'd steal every piece of armor and every weapon at the stalls in DC's capital city then go deconstruct them all to train my crafting skills. Now you can't do that, because if you deconstruct stolen equipment you get next to no, or no, XP for it. I honestly hate that they did that.
Alright i honestly cant tell if he is being sarcastic or not serious at times, anyone else have this problem? Im a new viewer of his so im trying to grasp his personality
Aside from everything, he mostly only has experience in playing WoW (he beat Dark Souls, and gave up on a whole bunch of other games, but that was like few months ago.. before that I think he only played Halo and Zelda when he was a kid). He genuinely has trouble understanding games that aren't WoW, and isn't a fan of mmo-systems that aren't in WoW.
@@alex-ul9nb Oh, i see you know nothing about the game. If you did, you would know that FF XIV endgame and skill ceiling work by weaving OGCDS during GCD time, and there is also a STAT that reduces the GCD, AND that MONK has a faster paced gameplay than anything wow or eso ever had, even pre GCD nerf. @Edit: Here, for you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T-XyPj-dqGk.html
That guy have loads of character he prob cleared the content more than once, while ESO story is great doing it over and over is not only boring but it takes lots of time
@@Jakazin I haven't played in months, idk if they changed it. I went back to WoW lol. Now I can't stand playing either game with sad amounts of playtime
@@shanesevier5782 Logged in today, level 1146, so I was wrong on my level, but yeah there is no CHAMPION LEVEL Cap, but there is a cap on Chamipon POINTS, as I said before. Shane is just an DB who has never actually played the game
LMAO you think it's easy? where is your VMAW skin at? How about a VMA clear? and good luck transmuting jewelry traits if you dont care about crafting. At a certain point the game goes from insanely easy to a few extremely demanding activities. just an FYI
@@Bitter-Wounds you are not alone lol. The thing that blows my mind about people complaining is that ESO has overland/story content that can be done solo for those players that enjoy the more roleplaying casual game experience, but then offers things like VMA and trials and dungeons that are actually quite difficult and require coordination. Some of the mechanics in this game are absolutely brilliant and punishing as hell.
This game does force you to explore and do the majority of the quests if you want to Min/Max. Skill points stop at level 50 except for Sky Shards and Quest Chain rewards. You can get to level 50 and have not done enough to morph your 2 base bars with a character. and 810 Champion Points. The only BS are the 22 day real time trait researches.
Quests scales with you and everything is the same level. The only thing that changes is your power. It's a deceptive trick they play on you, even though it's neat, it's easily found out if you turn the damage numbers on, which are off by default. What's happening is that it merely emulates the sense of scaling based on leveling by making you super strong at level 1 and then you get weaker as you get toward level 40 or 50. I'm not sure wish. At level 30 you will notice difference. Level 1 is as powerful as a CP 300+ player. This lose of power until you get up to that point can be combated and mitigated by staying properly geared and allocating your stats efficiently to maintain effective power.
nah, as much as I dislike WoW I'd sooner play that than that weeb mmo. I may hate the stupid furry kung fu pandas but they're more tolerable than an mmo full of retarded anime style shit with women who have that incredibly annoying overly cutesy voice and continuing the Japanese tradition of trying to feminize men as much as possible to the point of them looking androgynous.
@@PsyFurion they dont huh? take a look at practically every "male" character in the Final Fantasy franchise and ask yourself do they REALLY look like what a normal guy does? they look like they use more face and hair care products than the women do! its fucking weird.
No. Not really. Not everyone is a pathetic weeaboo virgin who likes that vomit-inducing art style full of creepy androgynous looking "men" and women with that stereotypical annoying overly cutesy voice.
You need to get to know the game more this is not wow or Everquest crafting is a big thing here also there is a player based economy here similar to SWG sure once your CP 160 the gear stops scaling the best mob drop gear is purple you need to upgraded yourself also glyphs are a very useful thing to make and potions and food are a must and jewelcrafting is very nice I currently have 6 crafting skills maxed to 50 jewelcrafting is 30 also there is no auction houses here you can buy stuff from the guild vendors but only way to sell is joining a trading guild if you like to make money you need to learn what items sell the best potions are always on demand and crafting materials like draugh wax each one right now sells for 7k those are only a few examples the real game starts are CP 160 have fun enjoy your stay in Tamriel.
I just can't play other mmos that don't have mods like dmg meter. I think it's a must have in mmos and I don't get why so many mmos don't have this feature. How do you know how much dmg u are doing? How do you know who fucks up in your raid?
yup, just watch asmongolds chat. Its as if asmongolds twitch streaming is the home for all the pathetic WoW fanboys who refuse to admit that WoW is pretty much dead at this point. With so many other mmos out there its as if Blizzard still refuses to admit that this isnt classic era anymore, more and more mmo alternatives to WoW r coming out and are treating their fans with more respect than Blizzard "dont you guys have phones?" are
It is the northeast of the world map. In ESO the base game allows you to access Stonefalls and Deshan, later the Morrowind expansion allowed you to access the big island of Vvanderfell which in ESO when they say Morrowind they usually mean vvanderfall since it was the area that became accessible with the Morrowind expansion. In ESO not all the areas in the map have been released, the Morrowind area we get access to like 60% of the terretory and in the game when you click on "m" you will notice we don't have access to all Morrowind if you compare it to an Elders scrolls map that you can find in google images.
A few things you need to know osmon: 1: gear in Eso is in the form of SETS that give you specific bonuses for wearing multiple peices of the same set. For example wearing a set of crafted hundings rage will give you More critical More stamina More critical And a giant boost to weapon damage when wearing all five peices. 2: when you craft items you can also choose different styles to create them in. But let’s say you find a set piece in a dungeon that doesn’t go well with the rest of your outfit, you can go to an OUTFIT STATION and change the look of ANY item you are wearing without sacrificing what the item piece does. 3. Go to cyrodiil early and level up your ASSAULT skill line early. In there you will get a skill called VIGOR which is one of the best heals in the game for characters who use stamina as a proprietary damage source. 4. Every skill tree has a respective set of passive skills that linger and affect you just by having points set into them. did you also know that your characters race has huge benefits as in the form of a RACIAL SKILL LINE? the racial skill line has unique bonuses to your character as well as big potential bonuses to your build. For example, a woodelf has passively 10% reduced fall damage reduction as well as a whole butt load of poison and disease resistance, a lot of stamina recovery and max stamina pool as well as the ability to detect stealthed targets better at close range. This makes this class excellent for a sneaky night blade who rolls a lot or a werewolf in cyrodiil that mauls enemies but needs poison resistance. Look up the different racial bonuses it’s really something people overlook when they start 5. This is a big one: just have fun. Don’t play it like wow and don’t expect it to be skyrim
@@DerKerful that's been the case for every single MMO I've played. None of them have required teaming with others for anything besides dungeons/raids. It's basically how the genre works now. World quests and exploration can be solo'd while other things require help. Only exception I've seen is RuneScape's Shield Of Arrav quest requiring two people.
I get that he's passionate about the game but man Nixxion really oversells it. ESO is honestly not very different from other MMOs. Most of the game is just swapping names. Yes you do go from quest hub to quest hub, and many other games even wow will have some random quests outside the hub. Being a criminal is not a profession or nearly as deep as he makes it seem. You can steal sure but then all you do is run away, sell it to the black market since there is no obstacle or challenge getting there, and clear your bounty for next to nothing. It's not a role it's just selling the same junk to a different person. Crafting likewise is pointless. He failed to mention that crafting and enchanting gear is the most standard activity in every mmo, and ESO works exactly the same way. Discovering recipes is nothing more than waiting for real world timers and then you have it. Or simply leveling your craft and unlocking the next tier. You won't be searching the world or completing activities to get them. Enjoy the game if you want it's good enough, but don't pretend like everything in this video can't be said for wow.
