This series makes me so happy 😁😍 I love the name Briar Rose so much that it’s now my puppy’s name. I adore all the princesses and I appreciate you defending the classic ones because I think they have great qualities too. I think it’s good to see kindness and gentleness, both of which I believe Aurora is. It’s obvious in the way she interacts with her animal friends and her godmothers. I wish people wouldn’t hate on princesses, especially the classic ones, because we should value ALL facets of femininity and ways we can choose to exist whether it’s showing kindness or being friends with animals or going out and fighting battles and saving kingdoms. It’s all valid. 💖
Gonna throw this out there, but I liked the live-action version. Yeah it sucks that Stephen went bonkers and the queen died, but in the sequel, Aurora calls Maleficent her mother as she was the only thing close to a mother, Maleficent not wanting to accept Phillip but finally accepting him as he loved Aurora and refused to fight the dark fae.
Cinderella was a favourite for me yet everyone says she needed a prince but she just wanted a night off and hadn't even met the prince until the ball! She was strong because she put up with abuse for years and always kept a kind heart. Everyone forgets this :(
I’m early for once! It’s literally 3AM for me, I needed this SO BAD! I was also literally just rewatching Maleficent a few days ago so this is literally perfect 🩷🖤
Another for the Disney Princess pampering ASMR from you! 🤩 Thank you so much for this, Plain Vanilla Bean! I wanted to hum "Once Upon a Dream" the whole time I was watching. To me, you are Lo-Fi Girl in real life/come to life. From the Disney animated film, the scene I look forward to seeing seems to be the one of King Stefan and King Hubert getting into a fight during their meal. I keep laughing over how they are threatening war declarations while King Hubert tries to hit King Stefan with a large fish, and King Stefan somehow manages to shield himself with a large platter. 😂
I completely agree with you! Aurora/Briar Rose was literally only 16 years old. Her parents chose to send her away to protect her & she was isolated from all people. What could she have done? Run away? To where? She was a teenager. I really think that because the Disney Princess films are 2D animated, people don’t think about what an actual 16 year old would do in her situation. And many people don’t take the time period into consideration either. Like people argue that Cinderella was passive. I would say that she was very strong in maintaining her elegance, her sense of self, & her kindness despite the abuse she faced from her stepmother & step sisters. People ask why didn’t she leave, like dude it was 19th century France. Women weren’t allowed to work back then unless they were shall we say, ladies of the night. She didn’t have any other option.
Women absolutely did work. Wealthy households needed people to do the cooking cleaning sewing scrubbing etc. etc. and it wasn't trained mice. Cinderella could have gotten a job, but her life would have been about the same, so I agree there weren't great options. Ever After is a wonderful Cinderella movie--cute, romantic, and the human servants actually get to be characters. Recommended!
Thank you for making another Disney pampering video! I hope you’ll consider making this a series with even more princesses! 😍 I would love a Belle-themed pampering video 🌹📚💛
I love how you're a genuine Disney fan! It makes these princess series so much better and I love hearing your views on the princesses. I totally agree Aurora is underrated and think she's a funny, whimsical Disney Princess. My favourite thing about the movie though is Maleficent like how can you not like the Sleeping Beauty film when it has one of the most iconic Disney villains EVER?!?! Great video, can't wait for the next :)
Beans, any guesses on the next future princess ASMR? I'd like a Princess Belle or Princess Tiana (library or bayou/ restaurant theme...idk, but I think she'd do it excellently!)
Wonderfully relaxing moment, thank you. I always wanted the blue dress to be the one that stayed :) I love sleeping beauty for the medieval gothic style it used. It has the first prince with a name and the most stylish and iconic villain in Maleficent, both as a woman and as a dragon. It frustrated me since I was a small kid why couldn’t they just expand things to Aurora. Teach her about spindles so she would know not to touch them. (In fairytale she is usually curious about a new thing she’ has never seen before and touches it. In the Disney version the curse hypnotises her to do it.) it’s a good lesson. If you never face things that are dangerous or scary, you’ll never learn to deal with them. You can’t hide all the fires in the world to make sure your child won’t burn their finger. It’s better to teach them to be careful around it.
I have always thought her peasant dress was more iconic than her princess gown too! I thought it was because I’m not very girly. I love how your outfit looks like it was inspired by the iconic dress.
OMG thank you so much for this! This week has been so stressful because of my studies and your asmr videos are the only things that relax me. I mean, I've been having anxiety and difficulty sleeping because of how stressful it's been so I just rewatched your asmr vids to calm my mind. I can't thank you enough for helping me fall asleep when my mind is in chaos. Lovelots!
You're not alone. I like Aurora better in her blue dress rather than her pink one. I think there were two reasons why they had Aurora be in the pink dress. I'm not sure if this is fact, but this is just my opinion. One, they had her be in pink because, back in day, pink represented a 'girls' color. And two, I think they had her in pink so she wouldn't be confused with Cinderella. Though, to be honest, Cinderella's dress is more silver or a super light blue in the original animated movie.
I love all your videos but this one is so special to me😭🤍 I love Aurora (even if I’m an adult my whole room is sleeping beauty themed and I also have that mug) so just listening to you talking so much about her made me so happy and relaxed cause I obviously never get the chance to talk about her or the movie with anybody, this was a dream asmr thank youuu💕💕
Omg, finally someone who gets Aurora's story. Also not to mention, she was being controlled by Maleficent too, who cursed her as a literal newborn baby, jeez.
very soothing video I enjoy as I do my work at night. thank you!! aww i love this! Sleeping Beauty is my favorite fairytale. I totally agree with you on the blue gown. .. . I had the song I Know You playing as I walked down the aisle .... for my own fairytale wedding
