I miss driving my old 18sp Long Nose Pete. Put a million miles down. They are actually easy if you go thru a great school. I went through a 6 month course w/ job placement & I ran Box, Flats, Fridge, Extra Wide/ O.Loads, you name it. Loved the job but hated the hours & away from family. It's a great job for a single gal or guy. But to make money, you gotta be moving & with log books & time restraints. It's kinda hard to do unless you luck out & get Gov. Contracts. 🤟
Been watching your videos for the past week at night before I crash, helps me fall asleep better than 3 hour loop of a rainstorm hahaha. I’m really considering this as a career! Thank for your service and content!
@@High_strung Shit you never reply to any of my comments and I ask questions from time to time like do you double clutch or float the gears and what kind of tranny and rear ends are you running
@@michealmacwilliams4247 sorry bud its nothing personal i get lost in trying to get at lest everyone heart reacted i do both double clutch and float i mention it in a few videos along with it being an 18 speed and there 355 rears
When I was 18, I worked at a LTL freight dock loading and unloading trailers 10-12 hours a day. The company would have paid me to get my CDL, but being young and stupid, I never took the opportunity, even though I wanted to be an OTR driver, because I thought I'd have time in the future to do it. Now, I'm 46, I have an 8 and 12 year old daughter and a wife with stage 4 colon cancer so that pretty much means I wasted my chance. But, I get to follow your trips and pretend I'm in the passenger seat so...not all is lost! Keep 'em coming dude, we love what you're doing!
These videos are so good because the truck has a lovely rumble and also because you drive her with such finesse that she never sounds strained or hurt.
In my personal opinion this camera angle in the middle I guess that you started off with in this video and head mount camera are the best angles. I like when able to see the trailer when turning. Also like hearing and seeing the truck going through tight towns and crazy turns. Then that jake. Don’t even get me going. Good videos man keep up the work.
Ah yes, the Road Wizard wielding his Staff of Diesel Combustion. He took the driver's seat out for this one, polishing his Instrument Drive Rules (IDR) skills.
Like the channel and content. I haven't driven a truck in over 15 years but I still love it. It doesn't make sense but I guess like they say once you get diesel in you're veins it's always there.
Love that long Pete and his sound....escpecially under load :) For me who is living in EU its just a dream of truck. Long, black, damn loud. Thats a definition of proper truck! Take care of ur Pete Sir Btw. I see it do not matter which country, there are always ppl stickin to left lane with no reason :) ( i mean the pick up, not u)
Chill video!!! “High Strung “ straight mashin down the highway singing her song!!!! Love that shit bro!!! Keep doing it bro and we will definitely see you on the next one!!!! CMON 😎✌️
THE GUY that taught me to drive down in Pharr, TX back in the late 70's talked about "Four wheeler's," like they were a separate species of human beings, and I mean all day every day he was cussing'em out every name in The Book! And just like you showed there, after just a few weeks I knew exactly what he meant. Get in where you fit in. #KeepOnTrucking Psalm 19, #MAGA2020 PS You are going to blow this channel up; You got something unique & I can't quite put my finger on it; a lot of it is the visual quality & sound. Good things take time.
I fly planes for a living and this is way more fun to watch. Mainly because I want to learn what wizardry it takes to learn what the shift pattern is on this rig. I've never set foot nor ass in a tractor of any kind so this is magic. Give me a link that teaches how to actually drive this thing. yes I know how to drive a regular manual transmission.
Im honestly curious, does the driver really keep track of all of those gauges?? There are 15 gauges on the accessory dash alone. Or is it only for looks?
I miss the road so much. I wasn't a class A driver but I worked for an armored trucking company. I was custodian/guard/drivers helper in the tractor trailer going to the federal reserve. I also drove the smaller trucks with Air Brakes. They were just under 26000lbs for compliance. Best job ever. I would love to be a drivers helper again for a company or even an independent driver. But thats not a popular job and I don't think anyone in nyc is looking for a helper.
Hello and greetings from Oxnard California my friend 🙋♂️ I can honestly say I really Enjoy watching your videos. 1 your truck is Absolutely Beautiful, 2 you Drive that truck it don't drive you, 3 I love the way you take time to educate new drivers example going down a Grande, backing, asses the situation in tight spaces ect,ect great JOB 👍👍👍 keep up those great video's keep it real. Till next time stay safe God Bless you out there on the road. 🙏🇺🇸👊
Another fenomenal content as usual. Keep the good driving and a good truck up. These Peterbilts and kenworths will never go old. I wish they run in America forever. I don’t like the new semi trucks them Volvo ones. I play a game called Truck Simulator USA and I have a truck just like yours and try to keep a good record on it just like you. Your videos have inspired me to become a trucker even though I’m an engineer. 😂😂😂
I used to watch ol mate "Sergei" driving his yellow International. Hardly any talking, mile after mile and I loved it. He just talks now. I can't remember talking that much (except on the Cream Bun) from Narromine to Wilcannia for instance, so this is pretty much what happens. Long periods of silence, just listening for something about to break or where the "fuzz" may be. Good video bud, I'll look for the other one you said. Pete
This must be extremely uncomfortable, you can hardly see the road in front of you, and the shifter is about 1.5 metres long. European brands are simply the best in the world
Thats not stock. He had to make it like that. Im sure if he pumped up the seat it would be the right height. Its a fad , a fashion statement , i myself have no use for that.
Doesn’t matter how high you sit in the seat, you can’t see right in front of a long nosed truck. You just learn to look straight out. And you can do that sitting low. I always bottom my seat out.
It also puts way less stress on the backs of your legs meaning less instances of blood clots or your legs falling asleep. Also he looks lower than he is due to the high camera angle.
One day you will remember a time when you made the thing you do all day harder in hopes of looking "cool", and realize that everyone around you recognized it as an uncomfortable fashion accessory. Like wearing high heels work to a construction site.
I'm here because I have just bought snowrunner for the ps4 ... So I am now a trucker and feel I can watch these videos and feel part of the gang hahahha nice content new sub here
