This is also really good for aspiring artists, because optical illusions often just prove how much our brain autocorrects with perspective, and when you first draw you use those autocorrections as the baseline instead of actually drawing perspective as how it is. The hallway illusion is one of the best ones for showing this, it presents just how much smaller you’d have to draw a man in the background than a man in the foreground.
For the 3 profiles between the leafs 1. is under the flower hanging on the top left 2. Is under the leaf hanging on the top right 3. Is dead center left to the heart shaped leaf in the middle
@@heshamakhtar3282in the first two minutes he says he won’t provide his own perspective as to not spoil the illusion. Pause the video if you can’t see it 😂
I loved optical illusions as a kid. Getting picture books from the elementary school library about optical illusions, and going on ebaumsworld and scrolling through the optical illusions category of images.
Exhibit 10 is a cognitohazard. Once you see it, you'll never be able to see it any other way even if there's a considerable separation in time between viewings. You can't stop seeing the dalmatian in the noise.
it’s so funny that you decided to explain the young vs old woman one, I love the choice you made to not point out what you see or what’s “correct” because it makes it more fun, and almost a creative experience! for all of them I’m able to see either but trend toward one, but with this one I saw the young woman only at first, then once I saw the old woman I could no longer find the young one. as I was struggling to cover parts of the image to see it again you started to describe where the young one was almost as if on cue 😂 thank you for hearing my pleas and helping me out!
I've always enjoyed optical illusions. I remember being mesmerized by a book of optical illusions I saw for sale in a pharmacy once as a kid. I remember my Dad buying it for me because I was really interested in it. Wish I still had it, as the 90s visual aesthetic of the illusions and presentation of the book were so fun to marvel at. Love this video! 🤙 Edit: After looking up on Google, I /think/ it may have been one of the Eye Illusions: Magic 3D Pictures books, the one with the purplish design and green border cover. Looks so familiar. Quite a nostalgia trip!
I watched this a few weeks ago and fell asleep to it halfway It's a very interesting video and you have a comfortable presence I really like this content I'd love it if you made more And thank you so much
I asked my mom to buy this book for me for my birthday when I was 6 or so. Then when I was reading through it, I found the Thatcher effect image (plus that bizarre upside down policeman) and it profoundly traumatized me for a decade at least. I had intrusive thoughts about those damn pictures well into my teens. That was the most visceral repulsion and one of the worst feelings I've felt in my entire life. Moral of the story: young children are very impressionable - do not give them stuff that has uncanny valley material in it!
This is so cool! Definitely do this again! I pretty much saw all the illusions, and even figured out how to create/solve one of them! For the spotted one you had a hard time picking up, it was a man, and it looked like he wore a vest, and was in a forest perhaps.
The horse one I was looking at it and it looked like it was facing away but then it looked like it was facing me all of a sudden I love the human mind also love the vid u should do more of these they are great
I don't know what happened, Doc. I remember seeing some deceptively colorful boxes...two wonky rows of buildings...a skull made of people... And then I woke up seven hours later with zero recollection of anything else! Give it to me straight: Have I been illused?! 😁😆😋
33:00 I don’t understand this one. It’s asking how far up the dot is in the triangle but it literally is further than halfway up so what’s the illusion?
01:35 I don't quite get this one. How can the lines be the same length when they have different angles? The houses and the space between the end of the page and the house all makes it confusing haha.
There is a particular video by a channel called “ASMR Marcus” . He did a 2 hour long video of a days work at a doctors office with many office and doctors tasks. That is one of my favorite ASMR videos up there with your first 3 course cooking video. Point is, I would love to see a video made with your take on a days work of office tasks. Just putting it out there
I still can’t figure out #10, I have horses and the jury is still out but I think he os facing towards and the comment on the lovers in the rose petals; “Deary me!” 😂❤️ Thank you! This was fun! 😊
