Hi everyone!! This is an 8 block crumble of BSN and Chalkness Monster. I actually meant to post this yesterday but my computer would not let me because I didn't have the space to render, so I spent most of the time backing it up.. BUT I digress...
OK so back to gym chalk..... omg can you believe these blocks right now? I mean, how did I ever get both BSN and Chalkness to stay in one piece (well mostly) I almost passed out lol.... I can't believe they stayed so well in tact prior to the crumble. It was sooo exciting to be able to crumble them as an actual full block because that rarely happens. They are both incredibly similar in texture and sound. Chalkness has such a crisp to it and falls apart rather quickly and if you notice has these interesting striations when broken apart. It isn't a smooth block or dense block hence why it is always falling apart. But this block was a super crispier/harder version of normal chalkness. BSN also is a crispy sounding chalk but more buttery smooth. Also has a similar texture to Chalkness which is why it also falls apart but this was more in tact as well. But once crumbled I can tell much more softer than the Chalkness. Both chalks in my hand (at least this batch) felt grainy not necessarily buttery, but I like the graininess because it gives more texture in my hand when I am crumbling and powder playing. Both of these chalks in this instance were incredibly dusty. I mean, even the little crumbly cracks were like poofs of dust clouds. I thought for sure ADER was one of the dustier chalks I played with but I have to say this is, I think ADER just chokes me up more because it is sooooo soft, where BSN and CM is still manageable in dusty spirit but SOOO dusty... like I was COVERED in soot when I was finished you would have thought I had another kind of powder problem. lol.... This was soo enjoyable because I have been doing so many harder chalks lately I forget how delicate and kind a softer chalk was. Well, again, this batch was a little harder than normal but overall softer chalks in the grand scheme. The powder play was sooo satisfying because it was sooo grainy and the texture was sooo pleasing. It becomes so trance like when I am fussing around with it! UGH I LOVED THIS.... 🤤🤤🤤

Pic - This pic was taken yesterday during a gorgeous "scenic drive" day... this is a block close to where I grew up, the trees are mostly fully in bloom and I was memorized by how they were hovering over the street. This picture really doesn't even do justice because once you turned on this street it was soo overwhelming to see them so statuesque and colorful! It almost could have been Summer into Fall.... That is how bright and colorful the vibe was.... I can never get sick of it really...
I hope you are all well.... I still can't believe what is happening in the world... it is sooo surreal.... and it will only continue to get worse in a second and third wave unless we really take pre-caution and wash hands and socially distance.... I just wish for everyone to be safe, healthy and most importantly stay mentally sane. I know it is not easy most days. I am struggling and I know so many people are however I hope everyone continues to show kindness and patience.... I mean.... you have to be patient..... or at least try... 💙💙💙💙
