Love the enthusiasm! As a Fin it's kinda wild to see someone take so much interest in our country. If you want to give some iconic finnish music a shot try any big songs by Leevi and the Leavings. Their music is truly special for us fins I feel.
Very great video!! I’m actually fairly interested in Finland as well!! My great great grandmother came to the US from Finland, so it’s great to learn about my heritage! 🇫🇮
I’m finnish and this was surprising to see! I want to say that this is my favorite asmr channel and i appreciate your work a lot :) your beatles vids are the best :D
Thank you for this! I am currently visiting Finland because I also am very in love with the country. Got a little stressful dealing with one of the people traveling with me and you helped me so much, what a fun and relaxing video ❤
15:41 I strongly agree there :,) cold to me is so much nicer than hot. Loved this type of video, it’s informative while still being relaxing :) I’m currently learning Polish, as I’ve a new Polish friend who likes to talk about her culture back home and I want to show that I’m interested, but this little Finnish lesson was a nice side-quest of sorts lol
This was a great video! I'm a finn so it didnt teach me anything but your voice is so soothing and the video was still interesting :) I'd definitely watch if you made a part two!
Your pronunciation is very good! As a finnish person its interesting to see other people learning the language, since its not very common :) Even though I dont speak it completely fluently myself as im a swedish speaking finn
aw this is so cool! I'm from Finland and it's very interesting and fun when people show interest in us! i guess because we're such a small random country haha
Friend is ”kaveri” or ”ystävä” in finnish. Ystävä means like a close friend and kaveri more like just a friend. So I would say ”Terve minun ystäväni” or ”Terve mun kaverit” as your intro. Good video, kiitos :)
@@ASMR_Friend honestly nobody in finland says "terve" so idk if you want to sound more casual you could say "moi" (which is like the most common way of saying hi) or "hei"🔥🔥
Oh and to answer a few of your questions and such.. Yes the "no city" sign means just you're out of city limits ☺️ the red cross means hospital. It's the other way around in the Swiss flag. Hmm and I think this google street view has been filmed around the pride week which is huge in Helsinki. 🏳️🌈❤️ That Ikea is their Finnish headquarters I guess cause there's not an Ikea store in the center of Helsinki. And you're right, that's right in the middle of Helsinki! That's the very center of the city. Hope you'll have a chance to visit some day! 👍
Ha, thank you so much! That’s all really neat, and I can’t believe I got the Swiss flag inverted - I also really hope I visit one day, thank you again for all the info! ✌️❤️
Hi! Idk if you are still learning Finnish, but you surely had a great start! I have heard Finnish basics is harder than some in some other languages, but you get a lot further with it when you get the logic. Finnish also doesn’t have as many words than in English so context is important because many words have several meanings. Your pronounciation is very good for a beginner! One thing is that the language has quite a bit variation for being this small country depending where you are f.ex. you use word terve, which is not the most common greeting throughout Finland. We have many greetings other than terve such as hei, moi, moro. I might confuse you a bit further by telling terve also means healthy🤭
onnea can also be used as a way to congradulate someone and also goodluck finns just tend to use the same word for so many different things it gets confusing even for me a finn thats lived here for all my life lol😅 also anteeksi is just as you said and like a deeper way to apologise is ” olen pahoillani ” its like better for a tougher situation! your pronaunciation is really good!!
Thanks for letting me know! This also scares me though when it comes to learning ;P And it makes me very happy to hear you think I have good pronunciation, thank you very much my friend :)
Video's great as always, but I'd reall love to watch a ramble video about the whole Beatles history. With some tapping or scratching in the background. I'd always hated on the Beatles, but then I listened through their whole discography. Still didn't like it. Tried for the second time and now I gotta have all of their records.
@@ASMR_Friend The longer the better! Or you could just do a Part I and II. I keep rewatching you showing your collection, it's just sooo comforting. And yeah, I shouldn't be spending any more money this month but I'm one click away from buying either Abbey Road or Now and Then. I liked Sgt Pepper's from the very beginning though. I was genuinely impressed by it.
I would say get Abbey Road (if you’re gonna get something) - I love Now and Then but I think getting one of the greatest albums ever beats out two songs - and I agree, Sgt. Pepper is so incredible
