In French we have 2 types of rivers. Rivière : flows into another body of water. Fleuves: flows into the sea or ocean. There's only 4 fleuves in France, and 2 Rhône-Alpes : la Loire and le Rhône.
Hi, thank you so much for this video!! 🦋 super relaxing and so well researched 😴😊 On a side note to the extinct volcanoes: the cathedral in the city of Clermont-Ferrand in Auvergne is built of volcanic stone from the volcanoes nearby, which means that this cathedral looks very dark on the outside and inside, making it quite exceptional. It is also visible from far away. I always found that fascinating as a kid! 😊

You should have included cycling history into this. The classic Dauphine Liberee and the Tour de France play a great part of the sporting history of this area and of France in general. And Grenoble was a long time one of the best speedskating centres of the world. Many a European- and World Championship were done on the skating track of Grenoble. (In those days we only had outside skating tracks).
