I'm a follower from Baja California, and I loved that you researched my state! I've visited almost all the cities in Baja California, and they're beautiful, with amazing food! Mexicali is known for its significant Chinese influence and the best Chinese food in Mexico, Tecate is a small town, but there are many places to visit, Tijuana has good food, but it's a big city with a lot of traffic, so I don't like visiting it much, Rosarito has beautiful beaches and good restaurants, and Ensenada does too! Near Ensenada there are many vineyards to visit, and the food is so good, I highly recommend visiting Baja California! Just a note about safety, I suggest not going out alone at night, always staying in crowded areas, wearing a cross-body bag, and being cautious of your surroundings, robberies are uncommon in broad daylight, but it's always best to be aware 😊
So there were actually probably multiple crossings over the Bering Land Bridge - the first wave probably started ~30,000 years ago, and then there was another somewhere around 20,000 years ago, maybe a bit longer, and the last one was probably 15,000 years ago, or so, before the sea levels rose enough to close the land bridge as the glaciers continued melting [much of the archaeology for the first two waves is probably under water, but some of the oldest archaeological sites in North America are currently dated to ~17,000 years ago or so.
Heading on a cruise in September, will be visiting Cabo. I am not the biggest dessert person but its pretty amazing. Been to Ensenada twice. The wineries there were unexpected.
That’s so funny, pico means peak and picacho means little peak so Cerro Picacho del Diablo means Mountian of the Devil’s Little Peak. 😂 By the way did you see the new World Heritage Sites. I was so distracted by the Olympics I didn’t see when they were being announced at the end of last week.
