ASMR Board Game ROOT from Leder Games // A Game of Woodland Might & Right 

I love Root, rarely get a chance to play. Not so much a fan of their newest game, Fort unfortunately.

Tori's ASMR Stories hi Tori, my wife has won a few times with Marquise de Cat, she likes playing aggressive with them and I’m always occupied trying not to have a meltdown with the eyrie, hehe. 😅

@@FoxAndHyde Haha- I'll have to report that to my boardgame group. Perhaps I'll try the cats again. I've had the most luck with the Vagabond, but it's due to everyone just like forgetting I existed and letting me get all the items and tea kettles.

Hey Tori. 😊 Marquise de Cat can be perceived as weak, but is actually just a hard faction to play optimally as it requires smart builds. Don't think of the three types of buildings as three different strategic paths. Instead, think of it as control. Recruiters = more control, Sawmills and Workshops = less control. As Marquise de Cat, the more warriors you recruit onto the board, the more control you'll have. Once you lose control, you'll have a hard time getting it back. And believe me, you'll be tempted to do something else than recruiting warriors, but this is a quick way to lose control. New players should ensure they build recruiters and recruit as often as possible (once every turn). As they get more experienced at gauging the threats on the board, they can focus less on control and more on Sawmills/Workshops. The Eyrie is typically your biggest threat. They will gradually outpace you on recruitment, actions and point scoring. To stop them, you need to look after ways to get them into Turmoil before they become too big of a threat to handle. The easiest way to ensure a Turmoil is to remove a key roost so they can't recruit. You may need to move your army deep into Eyrie territory, then battle several times (keep bird cards on hand for bonus actions). If you fail at removing the roost, you'll most likely lose. If there are more players in the game, ask them to leave you alone for a round so you can deal with the Eyrie. Or even better, ask them to help you. Politics is a big part of Root. 🐱🦊🐰
