I actually looked up Bernstein's Fish Grotto because I was curious on how old this restaurant was and it said it was opened in 1907 and was open until 1981 which is a really long time for a restaurant
The man with the key is Bluebeard (that story scared me as a kid; it’s pretty gruesome). The girl on the polar bear is from “East of the Sun, West of the Moon.” It’s one of my all time favorites! It’s like a mix of “Cupid and Psyche” and “Beauty and the Beast.” The novel East by Edith Pattou is a great adaptation!

20:24 isn't Mischeif Mag, it's called MSCHF Mag 360. It's like a magazine with a lot of pages. I apologise if I am being offensive. (Edit 1: Maybe Mischeif is the full form of MSCHF. When the creator was saying the magazine name, it does sound like Mischeif, so maybe your correct.)
@@Ms.sukmynuts My dear, no need to be calling someone as Dawgy/Dog. I am just telling you only plus look at full comment before commenting your comment. I don't know whether you are being serious or sarcastic. Whether it's sarcastic or serious, you have no audacity to call someone as a dog, no one disrespect you nor do anything sexual or non-sexual. I am just correcting you, there's no need to be toxic /mean to someone who is just correcting your mistake.
@@Ms.sukmynuts I don't want to cause any harm or drama between us. Just because of this, causing a drama is quite a dumb idea. So, end of discussion/drama.
my absolute favourite series of erin, the book tapping. I've been absolutely missing your book tapping so this is such a treat😫 i would love to see more of the book "how to draw fairies" as i have found a new passion for drawing magical entities lately :))
does anyone think Babbel is better than duolingo or nah cause I want to learn spanish and scottish gaelic and I don’t know which app to use.. (also I know scottish gaelic probs isn’t on it but spanish is)
Aladdin is supposed to be set in China, setting it in the Middle East discounts the fact that Arabic speaking people had travelled to China long before Marco Polo.
Some fun facts i looked up because of this video: Diaphanous means extremely delicate and is usually reserved for fabrics that are so delicate that you can see through them! Bernstein's Fish Grotto operated from 1907-1981. If i was reading the archive website correctly, that menu should be circa 1940s
@Sam since theres no true, solid date i could find for an inflation calculation, im not sure! Some seafood places are definitely luxurious and others arent. This particular restaurant boasts about reasonable pricing so im just going to have to take their word for it lol! Since they catch fresh, im going to assume its cheaper than other restaurants since theres way less handling/trucking fees
The library I work at has a collection of old menus and the like from local places in town that aren't open anymore! The official name for it is ephemera :)
@@RavenDots115 I was just gonna say this. A lot of people would love her to do ASMR in Spanish which would then inspire a lot of them to learn the language!
Your tracing videos are great! Looking forward to new Babblebrook videos. I know that they take an insane amount of time and resources, but I hope we get one soon. 😊😊😊

oh my gosh… I haven’t had tingles in 2 years!!!! your tapping did it! you are the Queen Erin of tapping and tracing! This was so interesting for me. I love vintage ephemera and just your looking through, reading and tapping on it and books. Thank you!🤗
Dont quote me, but our seafood spots on Cape Cod used to use question marks to imply that items arent always available (either fishing limits or just ingredient shortage) and you have to ask ahead.
does anyone remember or miss the promo intro where Erin says "Mucho Goosetoe!" so funny like a little kid just learning and pronouncing it very cutely?
I just got back home from graduation to find this, and it’s exactly what I needed to calm down and destress from the hectic day with, omg. Thank youuuu
Goodnight Moon: Every time I watch your videos my anxiety really calms down and i just feel great after and you are a very kind special person of great talent and I like watching all of your videos. You are a very talented and inspirational person and I've been watching off and on for three or four years now but I'm back full time every time that you are on and Thank You Goodnight Moon. 🌕🌑🌕🌑
This video relaxed me and eased my ever-present anxiety so thoroughly that my usually fogged mind cleared and allowed me to access happy feelings and memories from long ago. Thank you so, so much -x-
Ah yes thank you I needed this. I have a very big math test tomorrow and I’m scared that I’ll fail so I hope this will make me fall asleep faster instead of being up all night worrying! Thank you ❤
I know what you mean about mundane items, they are the most interesting things sometimes. Maybe it's the archaeologist in us 😊. I am saving bus tickets I got which have the UK coronation icon on top of them.
I just started collecting stamps a few weeks ago and I’ve been really enjoying it. Finding out all the old names of countries and kings and queens, it’s interesting and calming - maybe because it’s already happened?
Bernstein’s Fish Grotto was open from 1907 to 1981. Based on inflation, I’d say the $1.25 lobster was being offered at that price in the early to mid 1940’s.
The formal version of Spanish is becoming less and less common. It's best to focus on speaking the informal version and then learning the formal. Source: Sé de lo que hablo.
From 5:50-6:05, I like to keep stuff for the sake of this. keeping things and so in time to see how much they've changed and become historic. it's super fascinating to me!
I have a very stressful day planned for me tomorrow and this video is gonna give me the peaceful sleep I need to prep for it and all I can say is THANK YOU ERIN!!!!!❤❤❤
I was just talking about you to my friend today!! you're my favorite asmrtist and you never fail to help me sleep! :3 love your roleplays too!! they're so unique an nice :D
I looked up usage of question marks for that menu. In French, punctuation general has a space before it so I could see why that occurs. Wikipedia says that question marks are sometimes used as commas in lists. But that doesn't explain why there are two marks in basically every instance. Maybe it was some issue with the printer used for the menus? Very odd
Yay this was really soothing also you’re doing great with learning to speak Spanish also I’m a Spanish speaker and you’ll love Mexico 🇲🇽 my family’s homeland I heard great things from there and you’ll love the food I promise😊
I love her videos!! I just can’t watch long LOL. She’s just so pretty. Like she should have her own category of “beautiful”…as if you were to stare at the moon for so long, you’d forget who you were
i just bought the trio of d&d manuals as well! i played with friends in college and i’ve been really missing it so i decided to become a dm myself and gather a group of friends to play! i can only imagine how fun it would be to play with you erin ☺️
This is interesting! Do you have any idea why they placed them in the middle of the description like that and not at the end near where the price would go?
