Ahh man, I miss CD singles. I can't say I prefer physical media to digital, but I definitely miss the excitement of going music shopping and the sensation of finding a cool single or album I wanted to buy.

I just LOVE the way you handle the CDs here: pulling them out very slowly, handling them so carefully, describing them in your beautiful soft spoken voice, and then returning them to the shelf so mindfully with each one placed so carefully on top of the others. Nice, such a relaxing voice. I love the fact that you carefully and calmly go through the cd pile---the good, the bad, and ugly---it's all there. All of young, clubbing SRP's favorites. There is a relationship we forge with music when we are young that is never repeated emotionally. It is special to go back through it. The music of my youth is Elton John and pre-Saturday Night Fever BeeGees. The album covers take me back to teenage loneliness like an aural and visual time machine.

Ah, I miss the nineties and the noughts! I remember every single one of these songs. I would go into HMV or Virgin Megastore (what a blast from the past) every weekend and browse the singles racks, and pick up at least a couple. The latest single I can find that I brought was Bruno Mars Grenade in 2010. I wonder if they even sell CD singles anymore.
