Ear blowing is the most effective for me, although some creators have certain triggers mastered that just work on me no matter what. The sensation that hits the brain then travels down the spine is so addictive.

For me tingles only happen when I'm really close to being knocked out from exhaustion But on the other hand, ASMR always manages to treat my headaches when I get them

The Blue Yeti mic is so good for these triggers. It somehow gives that in-ear sensation with many sounds. It's really good tbh

18:21 yeah i totally do this. the best combo i've found for me is a video called "0°C outside and you are near the fan heater" combined with stereo breathy asmr videos, like divi style. that's my jam

Great video, very tingly! Also, that's a great idea! I enjoy layered ASMR but it never occurred to me to play two or more videos simultaneously for the same effect. Thanks!

Yeah, I like to layer audio ASMR up as well sometimes but mainly i stick to the one performer. If I want I can watch something visual and on mute in another tab, like a Rocket League game or someone making or restoring something.

Before I found out about ASMR I thought there was something wrong with me. 😅 Used to get tingles when my cat was lying beside me cleaning. No one believed me. Tingles are hit and miss for me, and defo depend on preferred triggers. I think when I’m totally overwhelmed, and accept it eg chill in bed with ASMR I get better chance of tingles. And Hey Hey from Northern Ireland!

Yeah, tingles happen mostly when youdon't expect them, so putting on a video mostly doesn't work for me. But I had a situation way back in school where we had a group project and someone unknowingly to me stood behind me and softly spoke a suggestion for this project into my left ear. To this day, it was the strongest tingles I ever felt. I like ASMR a lot, but heart beat and clock ticking are things that are super unnerving to me. Leads to interesting moments when I try to sleep and a heart beat part starts.

Since it was mentioned, highly recommended layering multiple videos but on phones it's hard since it's very difficult to find video player apps that run in the background without interfering with each other. MPV, VLC, and mx player generally behave and loop video payback and have playlists. There's a couple other apps I use to run in the foreground but they don't behave well so need to be poked to restart playback. Any suggestions for apps that run in background and loop and don't have 87 ads per minute?

Lexis Audio Editor - only plays audio, and requires local files, but you are able to import video files and it just plays the audio. It will play it at the same time as a RU-vid video and will play in the background. It will loop on its own if you configure it to do so, even while it's in the background. Not sure if there is an iOS version.

I’d really love an ASMR video about ASMR!! I really enjoy fact reading/ramble videos (especially with fluffy mics) bc it’s not something I need to think about too much I can just listen and usually fall asleep

had pre-asmr tingles hearing particularly good/pleasing phrases of music Divi-agree that a way to discover/get tingles is to "not try so hard" - like successfully reaching a meditative state the boop-misfires at the beginning were really cute 🐸
