this brought back memories of my childhood doctor visit with my mom, who we lost five years ago now. i remember it was hard for me to concentrate as I had undiagnosed ADHD, but my clearest memory was of the doctor sticking a pirate sticker to his nose so I would look at that and not the light! also when he asked me to name my favorite food I said carrot in Spanish, because that was the only word for it I remembered! (zanahoria)
