Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. :) Welcome to a relaxation video centered around the C programming language. I give an introduction to C and talk about some of the basics, like declaring a variable, arrays, and pointers, and give some short code examples. I layered the whispering with some soft typing sounds and around 22:40 I also added clicking and mouse scrolling sounds. I had a lot of fun making this video and hope you enjoy it.

EDIT: After seeing the awesomely positive reaction to this video, I'm planning on making a C series, probably once monthly :) Thank you so much guys!

+3GenGames Thanks! I program a text game in C and I use PHP/HTML for the game's website. In the game, I also use Lua to write some scripts that make it possible to interact with NPCs, like doing a quest where you need to search for an item and return it to the NPC :D At one point I wanted to convert the game into Python and I started doing this but only got 60k lines of C converted before burning out. The game is now 199,657 lines of code. I love C anyway, so the failed conversion just helped me learn Python :D Do you program as well? Either as a hobby or professionally?

Well, I definitely did not see this coming. Just subscribed, after falling in love with a few of your ear blowing videos. I write code around 8-12hrs each day for a living, and tend to watch/listen to ASMR videos at the same time, since they keep me calm, but I can still concentrate. The fact that you've got this series (I know, I'm late!) is just mind blowing. Thanks for creating this. :)

I know it is like 10 months late, but I've started learning to code, and so my first language was C. I tried to master it when I was only a beginner. It was very hard. So I moved to Python. Python is the easiest computer language. I learned python for 2 years, and I almost mastered it. After I've learned python, other languages are easy to understand. I recommend you learning Python first, and moving on.

flopski C11 standard 5.1.2.2.1: The function called at program startup is named main. The implementation declares no prototype for this function. It shall be defined with a return type of int and with no parameters: int main(void) { /* ... */ } or with two parameters (referred to here as argc and argv, though any names may be used, as they are local to the function in which they are declared): int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { /* ... */ } or equivalent; or in some other implementation-defined manner. --- On window, mac and linux they'll be on the stack anyway, so not declaring them just means you don't know about them... They'll still be there. C11 standard 6.9.1: "If the } that terminates a function is reached, and the value of the function call is used by the caller, the behavior is undefined." --- So I alway use a return. Just in case. Finally. I didn't see any mention of me correcting anything... It was merely an extension.

Ok, now i can study and sleep at the same time! You made one of my biggest dream come true ahah😂 this is really useful for me, it helps me to sleep and revise the old concepts about the c for beginners, love you for this😍😂

This is everything I didn't know I wanted! I would love to see a whole series of this, especially if you gradually build on the previous videos so people can learn to code more complex programs. I learned several languages in college but C was never one we focused on much, so I would love to fill in that knowledge gap while also enjoying ASMR videos.

Learning to programme is hard enough, teaching yourself is next level 👍

I'm actually trying to learn programming right now, this is awesome! Your voice is so soothing, but it still kept my attention and made it that much more interesting. I love this concept. It would be amazing to learn and relax with a whole series :D

Am little more detail: C was developed by Dennis Ritchie to create utilities and later rewrite UNIX in a more managable and maintainable programming language, as the previous version of UNIX was written in Assembly. Originally there was the idea to create utilities with Fortran, but that failed. And as a little detail aside: Python was also written in C.

Whoa this is awesome. I'm a Network Engineer and I've always wanted to learn a programming language in a pleasurable way!!!

Amazing discovery roaming on your channel! I remember using C programming at school for some exams 🤭 I must confess though my roommate did deal with the C pointer!

Oh man I remember watching this almost a year ago now and I was just starting to learn to code. Now I use C++ on a daily basis for work and I taught myself app development in C# and have made a game! Insane how much things change in just a year.

I'm just starting on your C programming series, this is amazing! I've always been interested in anything technology related and this interested me, by putting it onto an asmr format it was the perfect draw. I love it!!!

Great idea to add something instructive to ASMR videos, thank you for this. I loved the phrase 'I'm just scratching the surface' in the introduction, intentional pun?. Keep up the good work

As I write a new programming language in C, I get to listen to ASMR about C. I guess this is my life now :)

So I was first introduced to C while trying to learn basic GLSL and Im really excited about this series! My first language was javascript and I am so interested in higher level languages. Also, my only experience with pointers is through O notation and code optimization so Im interested to see how C as a langauge uses them!

this is amazing and you should 110% make a part 2. I adore it when I get to combine my relaxation-tingles with actually learning something - especially something cool and useful. if you felt like doing a C++ part 3, too, that would be perfect!

This is great. More people need to make tutorial/lesson videos in ASMR form. Rather than just listening to someone talk endlessly about mundane stuff, to actually learn something in the time we spend watching these videos would be amazing. Also the sounds really helped to hold my attention, more so than any of the regular programming video I've tried learning from before. Hopefully this form of ASMR video will become a trend.

I remember that I subbed to her on my other profile simply due to her ability to program. I love programming and I actually was able to learn a few little techniques to code in C from these videos.
@theshinxgirl

but do note that I don't use those techniques since I usually program in multiple languages at a time so I do the whole layered files technique instead.
