I had pneumonia so bad once that I bruised my vocal cords due to coughing. They swelled up and I couldn't make any noise at all, not even whispering. Crazy stuff. I hope you recover quickly.

Emmy try sipping herbal tea with both lemon and honey.. It will help sooth your vocal cords... Just some friendly advise from a concerned fan and personal support worker.. or in the US I'd be a Certified Nursing Assistant... Hope you feel better soon.. Ah, grandmas tales, lemon and honey cure everything. If you have a cold..drink honey and lemon If you have acne.. Cover them with honey and lemon If you have dandruff.. Smear honey and lemon on your scalp If you have cancer or hiv, guess what? Honey and lemon It is actually not recommended for a sore throat, as both lemon juice and honey are irritating for the throat. Please stop reccomending placebo or alternative medicine. If you have any health issues, put on some clothes and visit a doctor for a real treatment.

I've lost my voice 3x in my life! I personally think it's related to asthma/allergies and/or stress! Feel better! I swear by tons of hot tea with honey and lemon and cough drops/candies and drinks 25/8! All the best! Thank you for your videos!!!

Emmy, thank you for your dedication. Your videos are an absolute delight to watch. I feel your pain. I lost my voice a few weeks ago due to sinus drainage from a really bad cold, and I sounded like a boy going through puberty. I had to speak in a lower register to be heard, and as a result, my voice frequently cracked. The pain was horrible. I recommend herbal tea with honey and lemon, plenty of water, soft foods (especially soup), and as much rest as you can get. As always, wonderful video. I sincerely hope you get well soon. ❤

As someone who loses their voice super often, if you really need to make a noise, channel your voice from your gut and speak in deep tones. Complete silence really is the best though I'm sure you've heard it already. I'm sorry your voice got lost, my throat started hurting watching this from empathy pains. I hope you feel better soon! Maybe your bees could share a little honey? Also many clinics have an anti-inflammatory pill you can take which (depending on why you lost your voice) can give you it back within the day (temporarily). I'm just trying to help, none of this is intended to suggest you don't know it already or anything. I just hope my sicknesses can help you in some way. :)

Hot sause makes а sore throat even soarer. Chemically and thermally aggressive substances aggravate inflammation. I'm not trying to argue, just ask any doctor. Warm (not hot!) liquids is the best option.

I lost my voice last year and I tend to sing randomly to myself. I would keep forgetting I'd lost my voice and start singing and nothing would come out. For some reason, I found this really funny, and I would start laughing... and nothing would come out, which would make me laugh harder. Props to you for making a whole video! Whisper, whisper.

Hey Emmy! What I do when I loose my voice is I take a big spoonful of honey or heat up water in a mug, add lots of lemon and a spoonful of honey to it, mix it up, and sip it down. Those 2 options help out a lot. At least it works for me and if you do try this I hope it works for you too!

This is my husband's hot tea recipe we use when we get sick.I hope you try it at least.Ginger,Cinnamon stick,Hibiscus flower. Simmer ginger for 45 min.Then put in cinnamon sticks and simmer for another 15 min. Turn off heat and add hibiscus flower to taste!

What I will say about ASMR, I personally do get tingles but I find certain things that are "popular" right now like whisper only videos or mouth sounds really irk me, where as the unintentional or less forced stuff like soft spoken videos or writing sounds with a purpose (not just on their own) are a lot nicer in my opinion. There are a lot of different types and artists out there so it might just be that certain types are weirder for you than others. But yes it can be kind of a weird thing.

Great video. I love ASMR videos, though I really wasn't sure what to expect when you said that you were making one, but this worked really well and it was great to see the process is so much detail. Although, there were a few times when I was tempted to close my eyes and just enjoy the sounds. It reminded me quite a bit of Peaceful Cuisine. Whisper, whisper.

My choir teacher told us when it was laryngitis season: Whispering is actually better than trying to strain your voice and force it to make a noise. Also gargling with warm salt water will kill the bacteria attacking your vocal chords! Just add salt to water that is hot enough to dissolve the salt, and let it cool down only to something you can handle having in your mouth for 30 seconds. Works like a charm, and helps it heal in days rather than a week. Also honey and lemon tea is good between gargling, if you have any raw honey from your hives that would be the best! Hope you feel better soooon!
