central heterochromia gang! Mine are green with gold/amber in the center. My dad's are the same. My kids were born with blue eyes that later turned very dark brown, almost black like my husband's. My older son's eyes stayed steely blue for about a year. My younger son had his brown eyes by about 3 months.
@@doesnotFempute Thank you for sharing! Your eye color sounds very beautiful. Did your eye color also change in your childhood? It's fascinating how your kids' eye colors changed so much; from blue to dark brown! They're basically the opposite eye colors.
@@kirstywhispersasmr yes! I was born with blue eyes and not sure when they changed, but they still look blue in toddler photos (early 90s). I didn't even know central heterochromia was a "thing" until a couple years ago. I wear glasses and no eye doctor ever mentioned it. My husband always argued that my eyes aren't green because "they're 2 different colors.". I thought the ring around the center must be common and he just likes to argue 🤣🤣🤣
@@doesnotFempute I thought so, yes! It seems that most people with green eyes were born with blue eyes; as far as I know, no one is born with green eyes (as I mentioned in the video). Mine didn't change until I was 9 to 10. It usually happens earlier, but not always. Usually eye color changes from a lighter color to a darker one, I've never heard of someone's eyes changing from a darker color to blue, for example.
