I've prepared a simpler version of Filipino Fruit Cocktail Float which is made with Graham Crackers soaked in condensed milk and layered with fruit cocktail! It's very similar to milk cake but instead of cake, graham cracker is used. In the UK there's no such thing as Graham Crackers but hey you can use Digestive biscuits which I think is the closest you get in terms of texture and taste.
(I got mine from my last trip in the Philippines. I bought so many packs they lasted me till now!)
INGREDIENTS
- 200ml double cream
- 200ml condensed milk
- graham crackers or Digestive biscuits as needed
- 1 can of fruit cocktail
DIRECTIONS:
Combine condensed milk and double cream. Mix well.
Pour-in half of the cream mixture.
Arrange a layer of Graham crackers at the bottom of a wide baking pan.
pour some more of the cream mixture.
Create another layer by adding half of the fruit cocktail (DON'T add the syrup).
Make another layer of Graham crackers. Top with the remaining heavy cream mixture.
Sprinkle the crushed Graham on top.
Refrigerate for 3 to 5 hours. Serve.
