Always so interesting--you can learn so much about a particular era or an individual, just from one picture. This is just terrific! Thank you for posting. This is so interesting! You have a very storied family tree! It seems like your whole family really stayed connected. My family didn't do that growing up, I don't know who half my people are, and it's sad that I couldn't pass that down to my own children. I also love how the ladies dressed in the 30's and 40's. You didn't see messy buns and pajama bottoms at stores or on airplanes. Folks DRESSED and cleaned it up before going outside the house. I love that! Thanks for sharing!

I was supposed to be working ..(.a tad manic so putting it to use)...and I made the mistake of looking at a photograph. I couldn't stop. I sat down and watched and listened. As an only child, of an only child from Berlin Germany,) your family pictures and memories are fascinating. I have no idea what that is like. I will tell you this...what you wrote about family when you were a child was so unbelievably moving. I had a few tears rolling down my cheek. Thank you for sharing.

That graduation announcement is from Flint Northern High School in Michigan, about an hour south of me. Atwood stadium has been around since 1929(?) it was closed for awhile but it had a renovation and now its open again. Kind of cool to see that announcement!

Thank you for sharing these pictures! My 96 year old aunt died and I have a full suitcase of old pictures, many of people she served in the Marines with. It is sad I will have to throw them away but I don't know these people and I have no other family. I am taking MY old pictures and trying to do something with them while I am still here.
