i was just about to comment about this because it means so much to hear this🥺 i’m a lot more used to people saying they don’t understand me or the way that i think, so this was unexpected and made me so emotional😭🤍
As a spouse of and mother to autistic people, I can relate hard to this. I'm endlessly fascinated and amazed at the incredible way my boys' minds work. I love the ND affirming space created in this video. Despite not being autistic (to my knowledge), I still find this relaxing as a Mum, as I enjoy the little details of consideration, and the affirmations which are healing.
i once was babysitting my brother who has autism and i couldn’t get him to stop crying. so i went into youtube and one of your previous videos like this popped up so i just decided to put it on to see how he was react and 5 minutes went by and he started to calm down, so now ever since i immediately subscribed and now i find myself watching this😭🥹
// as an autistic person with situational mutism,, it means alot to hear you say that we don't have to awnser out loud/etc etc 🥰 these are so very soothing & calming & so tingly,, thank you 💞
making a list of favorite things from this video as someone who is auDHD: -warnings for lights and touching -no direct eye contact -counting, patterns -timestamps -letting us know what you're about to do -not treating me like a kid (not babying) -letting me know i dont have to answer out loud to questions -interacting with me -asking questions that aren't too hard, then giving your own answer as well -"i love your ideas, i love the way that you think" uwaaaaa ty made me smile lots -i can look at anything i want, no pressure and a lot more :3 cant list everything, youre a qualified professional at this and it's obvious, you are very good at making these videos !! ty :D
the counting to 5 was actually so satisfying. i’m autistic and have a weird connection to the number 5 (i think this might’ve just helped me discover a new way to self soothe when i’m anxious)
*autistically clears throat* The number five is the only double twin prime, meaning that it's part of a prime number list in which any prime numbers differ by two, but does it twice: 3, 5, 7. Like a Venn diagram.☝️🤓 (I don't even LIKE mathematics.)
I go through periods of time where I HAVE to finish a count of whatever to 5, like if it’s 3 I’ll secretly do it 2 more times. Thankfully I haven’t had this phase for a while, but when I was younger I would obsessively do things to 5 and repeat on the opposite side so it was equal. So seeing her do 5 4 times was very soothing
I'd just like to take a moment to admire Zeneia. Knows 3 languages (English, Greek, Korean - and might know more I don't even know of!), works as a teacher and psychologist. She's amazingly intelligent! And effortlessly pretty ❤
and on top of all that she takes time to not only make asmr but listen to her community and make videos based on what we want. And if she's a psychologist she probably doesn't necessarily need the money, she's genuinely just a good person who makes these videos to help people. Not to mention that at the same time she's in a way spreading awareness about autism and other stuff and normalizing accepting it. It's just really cool to see especially since not many people are as accepting or just as nice to everyone in general as they should be.
zeneia, you seem to understand the autistic experience in a way i've not seen from any other creator. you aren't overly cautious in a way that feels infantilizing, but still just informative of potential triggers and gentle enough to be soothing and interesting to watch. it seems odd, but the way you speak just feels right as well. your speech patterns are just pleasing to listen to lol thank you for all that you do, you truly are amazing ❤
thank you for the indirect eye contact and clear explanation. that takes away a lot of pressure and unneeded anticipation when all i want to do is relax
Around 3 weeks ago, I asked you through my community post, what objects and triggers should I use in my next “ASMR for Autistic People” video! I tried to buy everything, include all the suggestions and avoid the things you guys suggested me to avoid! As always, no wet mouth sounds, describing what I will do before doing it and no direct eye contact!^^ I enjoyed it to the fullest but I’m anxious and nervous to receive your comments! Any kind of feedback is welcome!💓🫶🏼 you deserve the world, I love you!💓🫶🏼
@@goldcoastemergency I also have adhd and so it’s CHAOS in my head bc I like new things but at the same time I HATE them and I like head massages but at the same time I HATE being touched
@@GhxstBerries not the same person, but for me it can be very upsetting if a trigger is suddenly introduced without a warning. I personally hate all water and wet sounds. Anything sloshy, squelching, dripping etc makes me very uncomfortable and overwhelmed, and sometimes asmr videos will have sudden cuts to different triggers, without any time to prepare, and I go from being very relaxed to very very uncomfortable and upset. Predictable videos like these are great. You get introduced to what's going to happen before it happens, and can skip if something isn't for you. It's also mindful of eye contact, volume, light, and other things that could make an autistic person overwhelmed.
@@GhxstBerriesMouth sounds make me uncomfortable. Direct eye contact is another one. I also don't like aggressive tapping, but her tapping is okay. I don't know how to explain it to make sense.
As a person with no autism but a very crazy amount of adhd and is allways easily destracted and stuff like that this video makes me happy and helps me focus ❤
I’m an audhd teenager and I had to put down a pet for the first time today. She was a beautiful cat named Barbara that we’ve had since I was too young to remember. I had a very rough day between most of my family having to be across the country, going through a waiting time of 1-2 hours and my cat allergies going into full swing after giving her goodbye kisses. I wasn’t sure how I would get any sleep today but I opened RU-vid to see you posted a new video for autistic people which is my absolute favorite from you. Thank you Zeneia for helping me sleep on such a difficult day. 🫂
I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you rest well and know that your cat had a life full of love because of you and your family. May she rest in peace and I hope better times are ahead.
i’m so sorry to hear that, but i just know your kitty barbara lived her life knowing she was loved and cherished ❤️ i hope your memories of her, and the knowledge that she lived the best life a cat can have, can bring you comfort. my heart is with you today 🫶
This is perfect as an autistic person I have misophonia and I get really bothered by wet mouth sounds but whenever I look for a video without it it’s always no talking and I like talking in asmr I just don’t like wet mouth sounds so tysm for this video I personally think you did a great job on this video
@@monimon4418 thank you for that information I will definitely try searching that even if there are some triggering ones it will probably help me find some to watch😁
@@brocopholis I mean that’s your opinion I just like the talking cause I answer the questions and talk back because talking back and having conversations distracts me and ends up easing my anxiety
I loved the xylophone trigger, please keep using it. As a person with autism i loved that the colors come sorted by size and color and sound and its just AHHhH❤
@V1DE0-STARZ I think its like.... you take your name, and you try to spell it out in your head by thinking about the first letters of objects around you. For example, if you name was Mia, you could "spell" your name in your mind by looking at Mirror, an instrument, and an apple (idk). Just an example, hoped that helped kinda???
I dont have autism, but these type of asmr videos calm me more then regular ones...most others use mouth sounds or touch. Im not very fond of physical touch through video nor in real life so having warnings is great, Thank you Zeneia.
I just love it when you say “I love the way that you think” 😭 these videos are the best. thanks for listening to autistic people and making stuff just for us 🖤
“what color is this?” me: “yellow :D” “green green green, very good😌” me: 😟 “what color is this?” me: “grey?” “light blue😁” me: 😰 “what color is this?” me: “….blue?” “it’s purple💜” realizing i’m maybe more colorblind than i originally thought 😳😳🤯🤯
if its any comfort the coloured balls are very light and maybe more washed out on camera c,: the green seemed close to chartreuse/yellowgreen etc. to me especially using nightlight mode- ❤
The fact that she bought supplies just for her subscribers shows how much she cares and doesn’t just do it for views💝 Edit: first off can I get paid for these likes? Secondly I think I started world war 11000💀😭 altho actually pls stop fighting this is a place to relax not fight Edit: thank you guys so muuuchh for these likes 💅✨ but my phone is abt to explode 💀 I swear to fucking god if you guys tell me one more time “sHe dOeS iT fOr vEiWs” I’m going to zip up all your mouths SHUT UP 🤐😭
i'm an autistic person and i absolutely love your asmr for autistic people videos!! i remember watching the first one a long time ago, it was the first positive and non-overwhelming experience i had with asmr and i've loved all of your videos since!!! thank you for doing what you do, your videos are so calming. :) also, i really love the xylophone!!
as a person who mouth sounds sound like nails on a chalkboard to them, this is absolutely wonderful! i like that you put in so much effort into these to make sure your audience is at ease. i appreciate the way you dont keep eye contact as well! you are my favorite asmr artist! 🫶🏻
As an autistic person, I’m honestly super happy to see this. The fact that you asked for input and even avoided what people said could be upsetting is awesome! Some people also tend to infantilize us, and you didn’t at all, which was really helpful. Thank you so much, you earned a follow from me, and I hope you do more of these videos in the future!
I just wanted to say that I’m really loving this background. The pastel roses and your makeup, top, & nails all complement each other so well! Everything together is giving Bridgerton, Edwardian-era, regency vibes 🌸
omg!! the xylophone is soo amazing!! saying the colours and hearing the notes being played while your nails were tapping on em was so satisfying to me!!! 💖💖💖
Hi there, I watch a lot of ASMR and my son who is autistic eventually started watching them himself. I love that you are trying this, and doing very well. So far, I know my son will enjoy being told "you are okay", the step by step explanations of what you are doing, the questions, and just saying the colors and textures are all so excellent. Thanks for this, I cant wait to show him and see how he responds ❤
As an autistic, I always find myself happy about these types of videos from this channel, it's very nice and is often able to calm me with how she treats the audience. All her videos are so nice and lovely
I don't know if im autistic, im still in the process of getting a proper diagnosis, but dude, I needed this SO much. I just came back from wonderful vacation I had with my family and since the very first night at home my nightmares and intrusive thoughts came back. I can barely sleep and I keep watching your older videos on repeat because it's the only thing that can calm me down when im at my complete worst. I had to break up a friendship a few months ago and it still haunts me to this day, I can't get over it and I constantly feel like I should talk to that friend and check on him, make sure he doesn't think I hate him. im so fucking worried about it. im paranoid that he'll end up hating me if I don't communicate clearly that things are fine and that he can come back as soon as he feels ready and we can be friends again (I mean, I think he knows about it cause we decided it's only a break). it all just sucks so bad and I can't help but overthink it, but your videos really help a lot Zeneia, you have no idea. really don't know what I'd do without you ♡
my unsolicited advise is that you should remember the reasons why you broke up that friendship and that it was probably for the bwst so you should stick to that. stop being scared of someone hating you, especially if you know you didn't do anything specific for them to do it so. if they still choose to hate you, that's on them. you CAN'T CONTROL what other people think of you or how they feel about you. remind yourself that and you will find peace soon.
there are going to be some angry chihuahua type people saying "yOu'Re StEaLiNg fROm AuTiStIc pEoPlE!!11!" when really you aren't since like... this is a youtube video lmao it's okay to watch this kinda stuff as a non autistic person, instead I think it's good since you're like, boosting it so more people with a touch of the tism can see it
girl I’ve been watching u for years at this point and just wanted to say that u are sooo kind and I appreciate how much effort u put into this channel tho 🫡 u are eating it up!!❤️
I’m sick today (flu) and I was feeling really crappy all day, so about an hour ago I decided to take a nap, I used your video to help me sleep. Slept like a baby, I just woke up and I feel much much better. Zeneias gotta be my new favourite asmrists ❤
I don't know if anyone else relates, but the tapping pattern you do at 12:59 and many others, is exactly the same as the beat to a song one of my teachers showed me years ago to learn the vowels. Everytime you tap like that I can't help but think of it 😅
for anyone reading, you are doing great! you are not alone is you are feeling stressed or overstimulated, life has a lot happening but take it day by day and tomorrow is always a fresh start
My 3 year old twins have a lot of trouble sleeping because of their autism. They usually go to sleep until at least 2:30 in the morning. I was really exhausted so I went through my recommended asmr and found this video. It’s 1:10 AM and one is down while the other is too amazed by all the items you’ve shown. Thank you for this!
Id love to see more of those animal cards! They were my favorite part, not only guessing the animal and seeing both sides, bur hearung your thoughts avout the animal, experience/stories and the greek way of saying them! :3
i LOVE the silicone brush on the textured balls! :) this whole video was awesome in general, though :) the color you didn't know is usually called teal or turqouise! thank you zeneia, i watch all your videos constantly and you really help me
I’m a month late but honestly bro I love this. I used to be a lot more on the spectrum, but went through different types of therapy throughout my grade school career to help my educational and general life experience. There are still things that get to me sometimes, and that’s why I really appreciate a video like this. I’m so glad this is how I end up discovering you
i love this! and thank you for listening to your autistic subscribers :) one thing i do when im very overwhelmed is put the playback speed at 0.75x so it doesn’t go as quickly and i can enjoy each trigger a bit more. i’ve heard other autistics can also find this helpful! as always thanks for the vid!!!
Please never stop making asmr..as long as you are comfortable making it Haha. Your videos are so comforting and sweet and I always get excited when I see a new video has been posted.
These pearl colors are so different and look pretty a lot 💟 I've got exams in the university I'm going to and been feeling upset and anxious the most of time ahh. It is relaxing for me to see lovely pretty things!!!
As someone who is autistic, this surprised me, not all ASMR videos i find make me relaxed. But this one is a specific one! It made me relax and almost put me to sleep. I am now subscribed to you, keep up with the amazing videos!🥰☺️
As an autistic person who is dyslexic and also an ADHDer, I love that you made these videos just for us . I’m about to make a playlist of all the videos you made for autistic people. You really soothed my meltdown . This is really good because I need to sleep .
this is great! i have ASD & i love these so much. i often struggle to transition from work to relaxing time, and these videos are the perfect little distraction for after my shift to switch my brain into relax mode so i can enjoy my time outside of work :)
i'm loving the change of hair in every video the xylophone was unexpectedly tingly.... i have never seen anyone else use it and i am so glad that you did literally you got me looking forward to seeing new hair colours on you love you always
I *love* visual and sensory triggers a lot! Textures are really a sensory experience for me that really excites me, as well as seeing things that look textured that I want to feel. I’m a high school student with Asperger’s, and even in Tech, I love the sensory aspect of where I can feel new textures while also learning a subject. It’s very kinesthetic x visual since you gotta watch and then copy, which is always been my strengths, mostly kinesthetic / sensory aspected learning because I have those enjoyments as someone with Asperger’s. My cousin, Silas, who is autistic, loves your vids! He lives in a few states away, so I sometimes send him some of your vids, and he always says they help him sleep and feel calm. It does the same for me! I rarely get tingles, but this helped my immunity ASAP. Have a great morning/day/afternoon/evening/night/midnight! - Sparkedog ⚡️🦮
I’m not even here for the asmr tingles, it goes too fast for me, but I’m just happy. This video makes me happy. :) Edit: Maybe I spoke too soon for the tingles! Though I’m not sure if it’s asmr tingles or just a nice fuzzy feeling. Also, continuing with the lights off so everyone could feel included?? You’re literally so sweet. I didn’t mind the lights but I’m absolutely melted over how inclusive and nice this is.
i'm so happy i found your channel, a lot of asmr videos the sound is wayy too sensitive for me but i love how the sounds aren't too overwhelming, the vibe is always cozy and you have such a calming presence. i've even been able to get tingles which is pretty rare for me!
I was skeptical and thought this was going to be very patronizing. I was wrong. This was a great video and I never realized how relaxing ASMR could be without the eye contact that most creators make.
I adore how shes not looking AT the camera , like i like to look at peoples eyes, see what theyre lookikg at but as soon as they look back at me its over
Thank you so much for making another video!! The no eye contact for me is a huge factor! I have both ADHD and autism so this makes me really happy! You’re amazing:)
MassageASMR, Asmr Darling, Asmr surge, jojo asmr, etc etc. None of these big asmrist have managed to give me tingles the way you've given me after all these years.
Same, years ago I HATED whispers in asmr, I would always look for no talking asmr, I decided to give it a chance and now it’s my favourite type of asmr
The xylophone is AMAZING I have been waiting for eons for someone to use one!! thank you so much!! [also the pink textured ball reminds me of coral, or a peach moon!!]
This video makes me cry. And don't get me wrong. I've been struggling with BPD for a long time and tomorrow is my birthday and I'm not feeling any better. And it's only your video that makes me feel like someone cares about me, when my loved ones make me feel ashamed of myself. I can't express how grateful I am to you for your work. Thank you. ❤
Your channel is so amazing. I’m so glad I found you. My first video of yours was rhythmic ASMR. It has really changed the game for me. Being autistic for me means being sensitive to sound. I’ve always loved ASMR but was picky about it. Your channel has been a godsend. Thank you for everything you do.❤
i once was babysitting my brother who has autism and i couldn’t get him to stop crying. so i went into youtube and one of your previous videos like this popped up so i just decided to put it on to see how he was react and 5 minutes went by and he started to calm down, so now ever since i immediately subscribed and now i find myself watching this
I discovered ur channel recently from one of ur other asmr for autistic people vids and ur videos literally knock me out when I go to bed and ur voice is so nice i feel happy when watching these
Okay Zeneia this was amazing!!! So calming put me right to sleep for an excellent nap that i just woke up from. All the tapping sounds and visual triggers were amazing i was getting so many tingles. Also the wood fidget toy looks soo soo fun and i love the sounds. I thought the xylophone would have been to much but it was perfect with just your nails tapping. Very pleasant and pleasing video! Also your nails are so so cute 🥰. D
As an autistic person, this ASMR is incredible. I listened to this before when I had a sensory overload(idk if it was this video of one of your other videos) and I calmed down in like 6 minutes.
i have severe ADHD and this is so amazing to watch!! it definitely helped to clear my mind and focus on the different colors, textures and whatnot. thank you so much!
Usually I only put ASMR in the background while I do smth else but yours are soooooo nice that I can’t help but focus on them as the “main entertainment” (I hope that makes sense) rather than background noise I’m audhd myself too and I love mindful you are to how you construct your videos to accommodate ppl on the spectrum they’re the only ones I can watch when I’m overwhelmed or overstimulated and they help calm me down a ton so thank you again for all your hard work
