What is ASMR? According to Wikipedia:
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.
ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.

My dear Doctor, I find myself returning to this video over and over again, whenever my insomnia has kept me up for days on end, and I am beyond exhausted. It’s just so extraordinary in every way. First and foremost, there is your voice; so soothing, so calming, so comforting. Maybe it’s my background in music, but for me the most powerful and potent trigger is the spoken word, particularly when it is spoken so beautifully and so hypnotically as you do here. The way you slowly pass the patterned fabric of each tie in front of the camera is absolutely mesmerizing. This was such an incredibly inspired theme for an ASMR video, in every imaginable way. This is another great video, I am also a bit of tie nut and really love some of the ties you've pulled out for this video. Particularly like the floral tie, it pops but it's also tasteful, like you I love my collection of red silk ties with a white or blue shirt as I am a bit of an extrovert. I had just graduated from law school and was on my way to training as a barrister when I fell in love with ties and tie colour psychology and choice for different social situations. Dark blue or pink is great for medical professionals during consultations. :-)

I usually prefer bow ties over neck ties, but I really need that purple striped tie in my life. Edit: just saw the other two purple striped ties, and out of the three, I’d choose all of them.
