Hey y'all! I knew I was probably going to be the oldest person to attempt the whole "girl in the back of class plays with your hair" ASMR trend, so I figured I should just lean into the weirdness of it.

This is the most interesting "girl in the back of class plays with your hair" video I've ever seen. You went the extra mile by recording yourself voicing a lecture in the background, and playing a strange, fun character as well. What a fun assortment of triggers/scenarios. somehow both direct and indirect attention (since we're technically 'facing away'), close-up and far-off speaking, hair brushing, hair cutting, nostalgic school asmr, scifi asmr, unexplained medical experiments asmr. actually kind of wild how many things this one video tapped into. Amazing!

"Back of class" videos don't do much for me normally because I was too much of a good student actually paying attention in class. I liked to sit in the front! I love this interpretation - the lecture in the background is so relaxing! One of my top triggers is people talking about me or around me but not TO me, and this really fits the bill. JB would be able to play a very convincing vampire. I’m waiting for her to make one where she’s a vampire in a silent film in black and white or something similar. Maybe it could be set in London, or New York, or an old, abandoned castle in 1922. That’s just to make it a hundred years old. And also Nosferatu came out in 1922. 😁

Ooh, yes, I am obsessed with this! The actual lecture in the background takes this to the next level and the sounds are perfect and really immersive! This video flawlessly captures for me the feeling of idly half-listening to a lecture that's interesting but not covering vital material. No need to take notes or wrack your brain for understanding, just a nice, relaxing day in class where you passively absorb knowledge while your (not suspicious at all) friend plays with your hair. "Normal human things to do" had me cracking up. Should have known that there was more to this girl/alien in the back of class, with her high scientific standards for guys and knowledge of the ph level of my hair. Have to say that the Ravenclaw in me couldn't help but listen to the actual lecture. Very interesting history of aerospace, much of which I didn't know. Two alien girl thumbs way up on this one.

Honestly if some quesitonably humanoid person in my classes has offered to play with my hair I might have paid better attention to lectures instead of my dumb adhd doodles. Somehow I feel like if I had known JB in school when I was a kid, she would have done crazy stuff like this to me and I would have secretly loved it. I would have been delightfully confused because I wouldn’t have consciously known why I would love something like this. It would make no sense. I’ve been growing my hair out for 12 years now. It’s trimmed down because it was past my belt line for awhile but please take any. Just don’t tell me what you do with it 😂. A colleague during my undergrad made a bird’s nest of donated hair from brushing it for the last year. 😮

My first watchthrough I was adamant that the lecture was going to be the sci-fi. I kept listening for details like 'a gentleman named Von Braun' and going "okay, so this is alternate history where he was good? ...nope, USA won and he was still a bad guy." And it took my second watch to figure out all of the crazy stuff was in the foreground XD Amazing work, 10/10 would get jebaited again.
