My dad used to play guitar for me when i was little so that i could fall asleep. You sound just like him. When i heard your voice i just burst into tears. He suffers from bipolar disorder and he is having an episode right now, we dont know where he is or even if he is alive. Before he left he was sounding insane and saying crazy things. Thank you for this video, it made me feel like i was little again and he was playing guitar until i fell asleep. Im sobbing thank you so much. update: almost a year later, hes alive, still dont know where he is, still crazy, i haven't emailed him and i dont want to. im scared and angry. he had the money to buy a house and he just didn't. he wasted it on drugs and ran away, leaving his child for no reason. im so mad at him, he's missing important things in my life, my first day of highschool was a few days ago (im 15) and hes not there to at least send me a voicemail. the last time i remember him being a parent was when i was 7. i remember him helping me study for a spelling test in second grade, and now hes not even there to call me after my first day of highschool. my grandma is trying to blame my mom for me not emailing him. i learned how to play guitar and i cant send him any recordings. im so mad at him he had a responsibility to stay here and get a house and a job but he didnt because he swore that he would make it big in crypto and never have to work. at one point he actually got the money in crypto to buy a house, and he just didn't, despite me asking him to. well theres my sob story if anyone was curious, sorry for the vent. edit 2: a whole year and some change, back in my state, turns out he went from florida up to missouri and then took a train to oregon to go up the west coast and live with some friends, he then somehow got to houston and then back to Colorado (my state) to live with his crazy ex girlfriend. he showed up at my house and broke in while i was at work 2 days ago. my mom made him leave. i still haven't heard from him. other than that.
I’m not sure how you feel about the Bible but I can tell you that in my experience the only thing that has kept me grounded when I’ve lost those I loved is having something to hold onto. Whether you believe in it or not. You’ll always have the Lord to turn to. I’ve been g*n to my head depressed before and the only thing there for me to hold onto was my belief that there will be a day when none of this loss will matter to me anymore. If you need someone to talk to mate. I’m here in this comment section right now. And the Lord is always going to be there. And despite what all of the different “denominations” of Christianity say… nothing you could ever do could make you “not good” enough because the Bible says we are ALL right with God. I implore you dude, seriously, you’ve got people to talk to if you only reach out. I can’t replicate every bit of loss you have. I’ve never not been able to find a family member but I’ve definitely felt and still feel like I can’t reach out to many of mine. So I can understand that feeling of emptiness. I hope you find something to hold onto. And as much as I can’t make you believe, I sincerely hope it is the Lord. Be safe my friend.

When i was younger, my kuya would sit beside my bed and sing me to sleep while playing his old acoustic guitar. Kahit pagod na sya sa mga pinagpupuyatan nyang assignments sa school ay lagi parin sya nakakahanap ng time para kantahan ako. Kahit na di talaga maganda memory ko and napaka labo na ng childhood ko sakin, ung mga moments na magkasama kmi ay vivid at colorful parin sa isipan ko. Half brother ko si Kuya Jb pero he was still the best kuya a little sis could ask for. When naging complicated ung situation ng family namin, our parents seperated. Nasama sya sa dad ko and they moved to Cebu. Because of this, matagal ko na syang di nakita. As a child, seeing these events unfold would be hard to process, di rin kasi kami na prepare sa mga nangyari, it all happened too fast. Sa lumang samsung phone namin meron isang voice recording si kuya na kinakanta ung favorite song namin noon "Close to You" by The Carpenters. Kahit di maganda ung pagkarecord ng audio yun ung palagi kong pinapakinggan because thats the only way i could ever hear him again. When i stumbled upon your video grabe gulat ko when you sang. Your voice was so identical to kuya's. Kaya medyo napaiyak rin ako eh HAHAHA. Pero ayun, thank you talaga sa vid na to😊❤
