Hi, kid. Great Video. I made trench or campaign bread in my 1908 mess kit, for the third time. This batch is made from Bisquick flour. I enjoyed the cooking section.
Thanks! I do believe I will be revisiting some WWI recipes in the near future! I am glad you enjoyed the video, anything in particular you would like to see on here?
I remember you doing Martini Henry stuff too. Wish you would do more of that and actually carry black powder Arms in your store. Never anything there to buy.
Great video.Era correct gear, except for your wrist watch. Don't get me wrong,I'm not trying to rain on your very nice parade, but maybe a pocket watch would be what a man in 1890 would have had.Other than that one minor mistake great work. Thank you!
Yes, and i can say with 100% certainty, I admire those men, marching shoulder to shoulder facing muskets, rifles and cannons, its a little unnerving even at a reenactment, just knowing you would be facing a volley is a real reality check even though it is a reenactment.
Madras Arsenal you know madras arsenal I really wish my generation could be different. I'm 14, most people would think of me playing video games and staying inside all day. But no I do historical reenactments and play outside. Most people in my high school proubly couldn't tell me what I had if I held up my enfield little lone tell me how to load it.
Playing outside was one of the best things about growing up in my opinion. Sure I did my fare share of video games as well, I remember many nights of nonstop Halo, but that was after a full day of being outside and building tree forts. many kids these days miss out on so much, and thankfully I feel like reenacting is getting some kids such as yourself out, learning about History and learning useful skills such as fire making, discipline, and to look at things from a different angle. Take wool for example, I now have grown to love wool and prefer it over synthetic winter clothing. Keep on with the hobby and it may take you somewhere cool one day.
Madras Arsenal I mean don't get me wrong I love me a good video game. But I also love other things too. I live in East KY, Appalachia. There ain't nothing but mountains here so me and my friends go camping every friday( getting ready right now) we take my 1842 Springfield as a shotgun and kill squirrels and fry them on the fire. So we defiantly have a lot of fun here.
Thanks, Sadly I am still on the search for a Krag. I figured I would try something different with a video, sometimes more is said when nothing is said.
Good try but you really should do some narratives ! I don't think an 1890's man would be wearing a wrist watch . I still like the video because I love cooking on the fire in the woods but I would have like to know what you were cooking (beans I think) ! You should set up ahead of time with some rocks to set your pot on and you needed better tender , but you Did get it started ! Don't get me wrong I do enjoy your vids they just need a little work ! But I'm an old 58 year old guy who's got a little more experience you ! Your a really nice young man and I really want to see You Succeed ! Good Luck
