This was my first ASMR experience from a video. I used to get so many tingles at 1:38. It was around 2013 when I watched this and I listened to it every night and I would fall asleep within 15 minutes. This was before ASMR was even a thing so it was uploaded on a separate channel which was later deleted. Thanks for introducing me to the ASMR world!

I am from Atlantic Canada. I’ve visited NYC twice now, and was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful New Yorkers were......even the cab drivers! My experience was quite different from what I had heard about cranky New Yorkers.

Even old New York was once New Amsterdam. Why they changed it, I can't say. I guess they just liked it better that way.

My wife and I visited Manhattan for our honeymoon in 2003. We were overwhelmed by what remained of the World Trade Center, and the resilience and hospitality of the New Yorkers we met. Would love to get back again. This was a wonderful story, thank you.

Very interesting and relaxing video! I live only a few hours away from NYC but sometimes I guess I take it for granted, how influential and how awesome it can be. I love it but I will always take a taxi or bus while there from now on, since driving by yourself can be maddening..lol

I love your videos, but I can't help but to correct a mistake: the site of New York was occupied by Native Americans, Indians is an incorrect term dating back to Columbus' failed attempt to find a route to India. When Columbus landed in "the New World" he was still initially under the impression that he had landed in India, and assumed the Native people he encountered to be "Indians" as in citizens of India

I agree, New Yorkers are very nice and welcoming. I was surprised. Very different than Europe (esp Paris, gorgeous, wonderful city but wasn't so friendly to non-speakers) in the 70s, even the UK. Americans are so used to big smiles and stalking sales people! Maybe things are more universal now with social media, etc. Thank you for your videos. They are getting me through a very rough time with my father's health. I use them for anxiety and sleep as well as getting informed on all of these topics!
