If you are like me, You may have loved sitting behind mama watching her do her morning routine. The sights and sounds were magical. "Sigh"
Some may relate, others may not but I hope I hit a nostalgic chord with someone. Close your eyes and try to recall that sister or mother or grandmother getting ready in the next room or maybe even a roommate.

All these sounds remind me of the time when I was sick and grandma would look after me, asleep in the living room that was joined with the kitchen and the bathroom being near by in my sleep I would hear her getting ready to go to church or the grocery store or get my sister to school. I remember them like it was the best days of my life even though I was sick. Then grandma would be back and she would make us breakfast and tea or lunch and we would watch figure skating on tv while she knitted or sorted things in the kitchen. I miss both of my grandmas... recently I hit my head and was diagnosed with traumatic brain injury and the first night i slept after the accident I remember that I saw them in my dreams and then woke up the smell of my grandma Vaso's perfume lingering in my room. I asked if mym sprayed it but said no, I thought my smell was off because of the accident but I like to think that their spirits might have visited me to check on me.

@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction I can't believe you read my comment! ☺️ As for my health it's the 6th day after the accident, yesterday I managed to cook an omelet and cut some things to put in it. The day before that i did the dishes for the first time. The day after the accident I attempted to write but I couldn't also I couldn't focus on things and conversations very much and in order for me to give an answer it took me couple of minutes because I couldn't find the right words and confused Greek and English words. The same thing happened hours after the accident. The accident was my mum to hit me with the bootlit's door while she was trying to shut it down jn a hurry because she and my sister wanted to go to bathroom and so did I but I had forgotten my laptop and turned to retrieve it only to be hit. The amount of blood i bled freaked out my mum and took me to the hospital, I couldn't stop bleeding from 7 pm up to 3 am and i waited in the line of the ER from 9 pm up to 4 am and my parents and little sister had to keep me awake and talking. The doctors didn't even look at my wound for longer than 1 minute which pissed me off and worried me but at least they sent me for tests and I waited for two hours for the results. Thank god for my parents minimum knowledge of first aid otherwise I don't know what or how I would be. I wasn't held in the hospital but I was put under surveillance by my parents and every 4 hours they wake me up and ask me questions and if my speech and answers are okay they let me sleep. If not they'll have to take me to the ER again. Thanks for asking by the way! Only two days ago I started listening again to ASMR from fear of doing more damage than good.

It’s 9:30AM, 52 degrees on the East coast. I should be getting up to study. But, I saw this upload, ordered Starbucks from UberEats and crawled back under covers to watch. I am shook. This is what makeup drawers looked like in the 80s and 90s. The random lipsticks, eyeliner pens. All Revlon, Covergirl, Mabeyline. The Oil of Olay mixed with old fashioned liquid base. I could practically smell that compact powder. These are the brands that the grown women used when I was a kid. So soothing. 🥺

Rebecca’s Beautiful ASMR Addiction I am not too far behind age-wise from your daughter! Yep, I felt this way about my mom, babysitters, the Teens of that era. They all had that makeup drawer with their curling irons and crimping irons. That’s why I loved this video bc it was so familiar. I used to go through my mom’s and other women’s makeup all the time. In 5th grade my mom let me have a compact with powder and some Dr Pepper lip smacker. Those are two smells that always make me nostalgic.

Love the idea of the silverware organizer in your make-up drawer. When you read the other comments you have all these unintentional makeup hacks for us just by us hanging with you in your routine. I think that's what makes your channel so beautiful because it really is like hanging with Mom or Nana or Auntie or Sister. That used to be where we learned our "hacks". Just hanging out and observing our loved ones and learning from them. Thanks for being that person to many of us whose loved ones are gone, far away or were not like this to begin with. Love your videos and just hanging with you in your home or your errands. Can I request another video by your steam? Loved your gem one there. Would love to "hang out" there again with you. 🏞️You are such a gift to us all.

My mom wears Charlie perfume! My grandma and her used Oil of Olay. Now I use it. That wooden mirror is beautiful and I love all of your rings, so pretty. I love that you use matches to light things, the brand you use neat looking. Been going to sleep to your thrift store videos ( my favorite) I used to go to this antique store but am unable to walk that much anymore because of fibromyalgia so can only shop where they provide mobile scooters. Beautiful, old fashioned ASMR! Extremely relaxing sights and sounds! Thank you for being so brave in sharing your life with us and showing us that we "more mature ladies" are all so similar in our habits. For one: the need to start the day with half a dozen pills :-) LOVED the apothecary bottles and the makeup drawer rummage. It is amazing how many products we have in common from the US to Oz! I never have used it before. I tend towards the spicy perfumes. But my mother loved Charlie. I’m keeping the bottle because it was actually hers. After she died I went through her things and kept a few odd objects that would remind me of her.

I used to hate getting ready for work as a teenager. It was the ritual that would get me thinking about how terrible the shift would be. It was back when my anxiety had grown beyond my ability to manage it and before I accepted that asking for help was less painful than ignoring the problem. Now it’s a mix of self expression and pure vanity which can be relaxing.

This is a perfect vid. I'm certain you get bombarded with requests, but if/ when you can , a rummage through thrift store jewellery in a shop would be amazing. Similar to the one you did with key chains but with old 2nd hand jewellery. It might cause me to never wake from trigger induced coma, but what a way to go:))) your vids have been on repeat for quite awhile now, and still getting the triggers. You even made the daily taking of tablets look artistic & classy - it's something I don't enjoy but maybe putting them in pretty jars will help! .. Love the rummaging through the makeup drawer .. glad to see you have a big variety of products like I do - I've always thought I go a bit overboard, but of course a girl can never have enough makeup 😂💄.. Brought back nice memories of watching my friend's big sister go through her makeup purse and kindly giving me one of her eyeshadows - bright blue (1970s 😄), my first trying of makeup & felt like a princess lol. You know why i love ASMR. My mother and sister had late or early schedules when i was little. And i would hear them get ready- (i feel like dozing as im writing this cause im playing this in the background lol), any way i would wake up, watch them Russell through things then fall back to sleep. Before the explosions of asmr i use to watch this asian kids vids as he would pull product from his kitchen or try fast food places. And you can hear the rustle/ I thought i was weird for watching the only vids on RU-vid with that type of content- im explaining this because this video hits it right on the - ... “imma just hear you get ready and im safe and soundly going back to sleep” vibe.... Lol this vid is why i love asmr... the other types are added bonuses lol so thank you :) That kids vid has been deleted but im glad asmr is popular .. u do a great job! Thxs

Hi Rebecca! I heard u say on the video of maybe this video but the one u talk in that u really liked the chapstick colors that they now have so I tryed one called merlot, I believe and really liked it! The other day I found a rose color and a light pink color and got those as well...verynice colors.....so thanks for the great tip on the chapatick tips!

I’m glad you found them and liked them Kelly! Mine came from a dollar store. I was afraid I’d never find them again so I went back and bought more. I buy doubles quite often of the makeup that I really love because it seems like they always get outdated and then you can’t find them anymore. 😠 So frustrating.

This reminds me of when we was at my dads aunt (she died in cancer) I would hear her like 7am getting ready for work (she made food for military’s) and I slept on the sofa since her guest room had 3 beds and my mom and my youngest brother slept in one bed (my brother was like 3 so he didn’t take so much place, then my dad slept in one bed and then my second little brother on one bed, she died 2017 or 2018 Can’t remember, thx for this keep up with the good job ❤️👏🏻

I see Obsession, Ciara, Black Opium ?, Charlie, Drakkar Noir, but what's the one you sprayed on your wrist? Looooove perfume. My mother has worn Ciara forever. It's her "scent" i could spot that bottle (and smell) from a million miles away! Back in the day she would wear Ciara lotion which she would call her "spangly dangly" because it was full of shimmer. You touched her and you were covered in the sights and smells of the "spangly dangly". Nostalgia is right. You took me there with a bottle of perfume that i swear i can smell as i type. Wild how something so small can trigger something so big. And you're the one to make it all happen. Here i am just tryin to go to sleep 🙈

Oh that’s lovely Amanda! What a neat story. 🥰 Ciara was my sisters perfume. That’s why I started with that. Charlie was my moms perfume. Literally. I kept the bottle after she passed. My obsession and opium are rather my signature fragrances. Very spicy. The bottle I sprayed on was a new fragrance that I fell in love with because of my other sister when she came to visit. It’s called “Knowing”. I’m a bit eclectic in my perfume because of so many wonderful fragrances. I also have the classic, Shalimar. Every fragrance has an association with a loved one and good memories.

Okay...I grew up in a home that was rigid 'holiness'...I'm not even sure a morning routine was allowed! :) If it was, I wasn't let in on it! :) But as always Rebecca, the clicks and clacks and bumps and grainy textures inventing friction were somehow soothing to the inner spirit! :) Keep up the good work!!

I so relate to this video but actually with my dad instead when I was young my mom had to wake me up because she didn't want me to stay home alone; we only had 1 car so she had to take him to work and he would be so noisy and I remember him mostly drowning himself in cologne and making his lunch 😴💜

Makeup rummaging always reminds me of when I was a little girl and my mom would be getting ready to go out with her friends or whoever and I would lay there listening to her do her make up feeling defeated, unwanted and alone. Sorry that turned dark quickly. 🤣

I’ve just recently found your channel and love your style. And especially love that you live in Tennessee where I was born and raised. I love the sound of your pill bottles but that makes me so nervous that you don’t keep them in original bottles. I know you know what everything is but if someone were to need to help you for any reason they wouldn’t know!

Your concern does you credit and certainly has merit. Thank you. I don’t take any medication that is imperative. I take both Anti depressant and hormones for menopause symptoms. The rest are vitamins. Fortunately I am healthy as a horse as the saying goes... 😃😃😃❤️❤️❤️
