Not everyone is enjoying retail , got friends who just play classic . But i think this current exp is amazing hopefully they will cont whit out messing it up

I would have to absolutely agree with you-the game just isn't the same. I’ve felt this way since Wrath, which I found to be the peak of World of Warcraft. Each subsequent change seemed to chip away at the essence of what made the experience so special. The era from 2005 to 2008 was such a magical time, full of memorable experiences and friendships. I had hoped that Classic would reignite some of that lost magic, but the relentless focus on min-maxing has eroded the sense of wonder and the social fabric that once defined the world.
I’ve found the war within has returned some of it for me. I honestly really enjoy them adding more solo things to do like delves and follower dungeons. Also, all the added stay a while and listens have been great. I have a full dungeon group of friends to run mythics with but I’ve really just been enjoying chilling in Azeroth and running things solo/taking my time.
I just liked it better when there wasn't really a main story quest, you just explored naturally and did quests wherever you wanted to only really limited by level requirements.
We have really lost the magical feel of an adventure in the game and it feels more like an arcade-like space to just complete things. But! The Art team is just amazing and they have done so well.
I liked Legion but every expansion since then has felt so radically different and I just can't get into them at all. I thought my love for the older expansion was just nostalgia but playing Classic I can say for sure that they are just straight up better games. The vision, passion and talent to make Vanilla and even TBC... nothing since then has even come close. I'm so glad Classic exists and I can experience those great games again
My biggest problem with retail is that the story isnt interesting anymore. All my favourite characters are all gone and the new ones just dont have the same vibe. And the leveling system just sucks, leveling in my favourite zones and not seeing a living soul untill max lvl makes it feel like a singleplayer game
@@mightymcbeast3594 all of kalimdor is empty, outland is empty, northrend iz empty, chromie time only allows you to play with people in the same time as you. Maybe thats why
Came back to wow only for pvp, I like the fact you can play 100% solo and still get the best gear. For lore, pve and exploration I only enjoyed classic, tbc and wrath. All the other expansions just made the game worse and worse.
