I hear ya🫂 I'm a constant survivor of suicide & severe chronic anxiety/depression. I can relate to what it's like to suffer it to a point where you just can't take all the pain it causes anymore. Believe me, I've been there several times already while growing up, & I got pretty damn close the last time it happened! Chronic depression is a horrific monster of a chemical imbalance in the brain, & very very real. It's sad that a lot of people don't see how bad & serious it can get. We all gotta remember to spread awareness about this scary mental thing going on within millions to billions of people, & help them realize how better of a world it would be to reach out & help those who really stand in need of our comfort. It happened to me last time during one night back during the mid summer of 2015. My medication at that time that I had been on since I was thirteen, had worn off & wasn't making much of an effect on my mental state. I was pushed to the very brink by not so very nice managers/coworkers while working at Walmart, & walked out on my job. That led my husband & I to land in financial trouble, resulting in finding my cat another loving home, because we couldn't afford to keep her with us & love on her. It was the last straw for me & hit me hard like concrete bricks, because I felt like she was my emotional support animal whenever my hubby was busy at work. She was always everywhere that I was at home. She was the very thing that kept me going while my husband worked his job, since he couldn't always be there to hold me close & comfort me when I really needed him. Those moments & feelings I felt that night, were the darkest & lowest I've ever had in my entire life! It literally felt like I had fallen into a deep dark abyss that I couldn't escape from. It got to a point where I almost literally gave up hope & thought I was far from beyond worth of being rescued even by God! I somewhat remember & regret the whole thing, because of how close I was to succeeding that last time. I felt so out of touch afterwards. I look back on it & see how much it really hurt & damaged my husband & family😟😢 During the weeks that followed after it occurred, I made a vow to myself & to God that I'd do my utmost to not let myself get that close again. I'm doing fine for right now, & am on several medications to help me through it all. Thankfully my husband is keeping a closer watch of an eye on me by helping me remember to take it daily. He's always checking on my feelings everyday. He does so much for me even when he doesn't need to. I don't know where I'd be without him. He's one of my #1 greatest heros🦸 because he was the one that found me in our bathroom as I was close to drawing my last breath of life. Had he not opened that door to rescue me that night, I wouldn't be on this thread posting this novel of a comment🤦🫶
