I know for you it might have a different cause, but I've suffered from fatigue a lot due to my depression, especially during the past two years. But even If thats different, once you get into that slump its very difficult to get out of, I didnt even eat enough. I got so many treatmenst and nothing made it better, only when I stared my new job it somehow improved the most it has in a decade honestly. It was fun, I laughed with my colleagues a lot, I liked going there and sometimes did overtime cuz I liked it so much. I worked somewhere else before where I also loved the people, but it still wasn't the same. I dunno, it just made me realize that doctors sometimes can't help, even tho, I always recommend going. But sometimes a change in life itself can do wonders. I think the treatments gave me a good basis, of course they played a role, but they themselves didnt solve it alone.
You seem like such a genuinely sweet person. Thank you for sharing videos that are quite personal. I'd probably die if a video of my poor eating habits was shared on the internet 😂 that being said, this has inspired me to eat better as well lol 💛 (also, A+ ASMR)
She talked for so long about the salads. That I had time to get up from bed, make three salads, and ate them all while she talked about the salads. Edit: melisa hair color is really cool ❤️
Wow it’s so comprehensive at the start isn’t it? That would be overwhelming for me answering all those questions about myself haha 😂 thanks for the video! Edit: ESPECIALLY given how busy and fatigued you are, I hope you can find some balance or ways to feel less fatigued ❤
My mom is a naturopath and it's because it's very holistic and more focused on resolving the core of the issues rather than the symptoms. If I can put it that way, if you go see a doctor for a rash, he'll give you a cream for rashes. A Naturopath will focus more on why you got a rash to start with. (I'm by no means implying here that medicine is not good or not necessary, the way they think through issues is different, and they are complementary).
@@FreshSalad645 naturopathy is also called "quackery" and is fake and doesnt help and your lack of knowledge of how actual medical science functions is showing
You are just adorable, you remind me of a Disney Princess! Ty for these videos. This one, and the Chinese nutritional lady are my favorites! Keep up the good work please. 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
Im curious what considered acidic in vegetables? Cause isnt most acids come from vegetables and fruit like citric acid? Or chilies or peppers? Curious what is considered alkaline and what isnt
Basically everything we eat is acidic to neutral. I think milk might be slightly alkaline but I could be misremembering. The only truly alkaline things we eat regularly are chemical leavening. But also there isn't anything wrong with acidic food unless it's causing something like heart burn or tooth sensitivity. Our bodies regulate pH on their own and if for some reason it didn't you would need urgent medical care because that's a pretty serious symptom.
This was brilliant. I have a naturopath appt late October and I am really looking forward to it. Are you going to meet with a homeopath and / or kinesiologist?
I love me some pseudo-science in an ASMR video, but when it's a real world consultation, and someone in the real world is walking around in all the trappings of a doctor, shaming you for eating badly while giving you widely debunked advice like "MSG bad", advice which has its origins in deep racism, while listing 'acidic foods' of which only half of which are actually acidic, it grinds my gears. Eating acidic food doesn't make your body acidic. That's not how digestion works. All protein is acidic because it's made of amino *acids*, which your body requires as crucial building blocks. Bothers me that there's a whole industry out there that makes bank recycling garbage information because that info's trendy this decade. The conversation about gluten! Everything is always somehow gluten's fault. Listen, man, gluten sensitives are extremely obvious because you're doubled over in agony with your brain glazed over. If you aren't being actively murdered by intestinal malfunction, you don't have a gluten sensitivity, and the last thing you need to worry about is cutting out bread. Gluten is extremely good for people who aren't sensitive to it- gluten lowers your risk of type 2 diabetes, decreases likelihood of heart disease, reduces the risk of certain cancers, and helps you avoid sugars and fats added to gluten-free food to make it palatable.
Do you have ADHD? If yes, Caffeine has a tendency to cause fatigue in ADHD people who take caffeine. No exercise will mean you have absolutely no fitness levels, so its not surprising you get fatigued after a busy day or extensive activity. Poor circulation is also a problem with not being active. Might be worth visiting a fitness specialist for a future video, that could be fun!
Yeah, no, it's not in the slightest. I don't think you understand what voyeurism means for a start. I can only assume you don't experience ASMR or you wouldn't have made that kind of statement. There's nothing sexual about it 🤷♂️. Relaxing is what it is and that's how it feels.
the pseudoscience in this video is deeply upsetting and it's tragic cause a real doctor probably would have given you support for long COVID and this person just talks nonsense about acidic foods.
I got treatment for long covid off camera and I’m pretty much (fingers crossed) all good now 👍 Sessions on this channel are just for asmr purposes but I thought I might as well be honest about what I was going through at the time!
@@asmr_beauty That could be interesting, especially if you never had it done by a professional. Mine was part of the Firefighter hiring process. It would also be interesting especially given your age at the time, and how well you were able to express your true feelings. I was certainly more introverted in my younger days, most INFJs are.
It was relaxing but unfortunately i am a dietitian and her advice about diet was sooo ridiculous and hocus pocus that i was raging that these people are so uneducated and they get paid to advice nonsense. She basically said all the Instagram trends.
One point of fact: Your liver, kidneys, and lungs all balance acidity. That's why you can smell ketoacidosis on the breath. Further, just generalizing "eat fruits and vegetables to lower acidity" ignores the acidity of a ton of vegetables including eggplant (aubergine), tomato, onion, grapes, and most peppers. Fermented vegetables can be even more acidic (through the fermentation process). As for MSG, it's been proven to be totally healthy. MSG as a seasoning is derived from seaweed, but it also exists in mushrooms, tomato, meat, and your own body.
Fermented products are a beautiful source of amazing bacteria. its why all cultures eat fermented foods like yoghurt(arabs), soured milk(sweden). kimchi(east asia), cheese. etc. You do realise that your stomach acid is incredibly acidic. things you eat that are acid wont matter its immediately put into into a vat of acid to be broken down. blood is always in homeostasis as for ph.
THANK YOU. It really bothers me listening to most naturopathic/nutrition experts because they just recycle the same fad garbage info over and over again like gospel. In addition to everything you pointed out, there's also the fact that gluten is perfectly healthy for people who can eat gluten, just like peanut butter is great for you if you're not allergic to peanut butter.
Is there a medical reason you cannot fix your own? its fairly simple creating new habits around sleep. work out, view sunlight, dont eat too late, no coffee in the morning etc. I wake up without an alarm almost the same time every day .
This was brilliant!! Really enjoyed it. I went full mum mode when she asked if there was anything else and you said no, I was shouting at my phone, no tell her about the temperatures!! I was so relieved when you told her in the end!! 😂
V relaxing. Although all the due diligence questions at the start from somebody that probably doesn't have a clue what the results mean in terms of actual diagnosis and prognosis. There's also the chiropractic guy, also v relaxing and thorough, makes all these tests and queries, only to proceed with EXACTLY the same procedure with each client ( I won't say "patient" ) every single time. "I'm suffering from paranoid schitzophrenia" - "no problem. We'll apply leeches to your ears". "I smashed my hip in a bike accident" " A course of leeches" etc etc
Super relaxing video to study to. Though I feel like I need to be an MSG evangelist. It's really not that bad for you and can even help cut on sodium intake.
It will be interesting to document how you get on with an improved diet...getting to the bottom of your fatigue one ASMR video at a time. Fair play for putting all this out there, the authenticity really comes across. Now don't forget those vegetables 😄
Definitely she will see a difference with a better diet . I was thinking if she spent less money on takeaways and used it on blueberries that she loves as she said it was expensive to buy blueberries. Really glad she spoke about diet
@@cuckooaliceasmr5609 Blueberries are expensive so I only buy one small punnet of berries a week and eat cheaper fruit like bananas and avocado and honey dew melon and oranges.
Sorry, but this is borderline reckless... You have real symptoms that need a real medical checkup, with a complete blood work up! Fatigue from improper diet takes a very long time to create those type of symptoms and when it does, you need lab work to reveal it... Too many serious illnesses cause those symptoms, including major depression and you're not gonna cure it through diet alone. In closing, GO GET BLOOD WORK DONE!
Many of these videos were filmed back in Aug-Oct last year when I was feeling very unwell. I am feeling much better now as more recent consultations on my channel show 👍☺️ I also was receiving treatment from the NHS the whole time but that was never shown on my channel for privacy reasons (you can’t film NHS appointments) and did have blood tests done. The final diagnosis was long Covid.
@@asmr_beautyno proof of long covid, they might as well have wrote "psychological and physical fatigue/ non worrysome" ... i think your more of an hypocondriac.
@@asmr_beautyYou had all three vaccines and are blaming it on some elusive, bs called ‘long covid’? That this naturopath didn’t bring up how seriously wrong it was to have those tells me she’s in the wrong job. I am sorry you’re unwell, and I really hope you steer clear of any more vaccines :-(
Loved this!! I recently went through the same problem of extreme fatigue and was diagnosed as a Type 1 Diabetic two weeks ago. A symptom of high blood sugar is sleepiness. And I too didn’t eat veggies or exercise as often as I should! I just watched your eye exam video from two months ago and you mentioned a family history of diabetics so it might be something worth looking into. Hoping this helped!!
Hope you’re doing okay now, I was diagnosed 5 years ago with sleepiness and extreme weight loss, but it soon becomes normal. If you’re not on a pump I’d recommend it, as it truly is a game changer! 😊
Do you remember any ticks or horseflies biting you (before April, or actually ever)? If so, you might want to get checked for lyme disease. It can cause a wide range of symptoms including fatigue, chest pain and random muscle pains.
Also rickettsia, not just lyme's. I had a post-infection syndrome for a year after I got a rickettsial disease from a tick and it wasn't treated promptly (in the doctors' defense, I never noticed the tick, rickettsias are rare here, and I got tested for Lyme's on my first visit to the hospital; they just didn't think to test for other tick diseases until months later). I had extreme (REALLY extreme) fatigue, daily fevers, rapid weight loss, malabsorption issues, arthritis, etc. It took me almost a whole other year to recover from it (I'd wasted away by the time it stopped), and I still have some of the joint and malabsorption issues 8yrs later.
I watched this solely for ASMR purposes but I was very confused when she described meat, grain, and fish as "acidic" foods... I thought she was going to list lemons, oranges, and pineapples
@@katherinespahn3989 No, they will not. At all. Your diet does absolutely nothing to your body's overall pH levels. Your body closely regulates your blood pH levels because it's absolutely essential that it remains at the optimal 7.35 - 7.45 range. Anything outside the normal range is a very serious symptom of disease. If what you ate could change your body's pH level that easily, you'd die. It makes no sense, but that's alternative "medicine" for you. Completely disregarding the most basic biological concepts such as homeostasis, but keeping the buzzwords to predate on people who unfortunately don't know any better.
If you were aware of how her ideas are wrong, you should've pointed it out while repeating it for whatever your intended purpose. Otherwise you're just spreading misinformation. If you were not aware, then my comment still stands.
What are the signs in your eyes of congestion? Curious to know. The myth of msg was started many years ago from a rival trying to destroy the competition. Proof that information is handed down without research. So a year later have you improved your energy level at all? ❤️
A few other people have pointed this out, but the talk of body ph/being too acidic is flat out put wrong. If your body was the wrong ph, it would be a sign of a major medical emergency and is not something that can be effected by diet. Various organs regulate our general ph balance, it going wrong would cause severe issues much further than fratigue (dont get me wrong i deal with fratigue too, i know how much it sucks to not be able to do the things you want to because of how exhausted you are)
I relate to meals taking a long time - it’s so hard when you’re SOOOO busy. Look up Cafe Maddy. She does quick and simple Korean (so healthy!! Kimchi!!) ❤
So you are appealing to emotion and you dont believe that truth is more important? @@rilethomp the damage the supposed "naturpath can do to one of its victims if far worse than the truth or a comment i make online.
Has she seriously asked whether she had mumps and measles? These are not regular childhood diseases in the West nowadays thanks to vaccination. I'm concerned this woman hasn't got the first clue about health...
My favorite part is when Yvonne explains how to shop and cook to eat like an adult...I laughed so hard. Don't get me wrong my eating habits are even worse I basically eat 1 Pizza per day nothing else and sometimes I skip 1-3 days because I don't feel like eating anything 😁😁. So compared to me you're eating quite well haha.
Hey, I hope you're doing okay. Idk what your views on therapy are or if it's accessible to you, but might be worth looking into... I don't mean this as an insult or anything but just as a suggestion because it's helped me so much to improve my relationship with food and eating, and it sound like you may be struggling with that. Wishing you all the very best!
@@marcymoo875 eh not bad at all, many people fast multiple days a week. As long as you're drinking adequate water and have no medical history that would cause issues it is completely fine and has health benefits.

I think modern life’s stressing everyone out so much, we’re all looking for a quick way to calm down. Your vids are definitely helping though Melissa, so thanks for that!
I found this really enjoyable and relaxing to watch. As a student naturopath it’s quite interesting to see how naturopathy is practiced in Europe vs where I live in Canada 🇨🇦. Sending lots of love 😘 I love your self care videos
Throw something in a slow cooker so it’s ready when you get home. Rotisserie chicken and vegetables, soups etc. Then you can have a salad on the side. And the food is ready when you get home. Simple salad is quick and easy.
"meat fish grains" are acidic. Lmao. Is this for real? Doesn't mention coffee, tea, carbonated drinks, citric fruits, tomato, lowering your sugar intake and trying to keep it at 20g/day.
I've watched a decent variety of ASMR Beauty's video's. All the different sort of healing options out there. I just can't quite get my head round this one. Is the 'practitioner' on the take? What is the aim of the healing here?
