Lynn, I can’t express how I felt reading this! I wanted to cry, because I was so happy to know that this video helped you to relax during this horrible, stressful, time. That is why I wanted to put it out, because I am right there with you, understanding the anxiety level this creates, and then put it on top of anything else we may be going through, it’s been very difficult to hold it together, trust me I know of which you speak! It was like a little release for me, to hear I helped you! And, that’s because I understood everything you said through my own struggles to cope with this. @@ASMRPeacefulPleasure I'm happy to let u know how u helped. If I remember correctly we are pretty much neighbors, me being in R.I . Fortunately/unfortunately I have been following this since January! Even knowing it was coming, I could have never imagined how it would change our lives. I want to be informed but being away from work at a job I love so much (hairstylist) allowed me to over think the situation and watch too much on it. I made a vow to just watch the state update and president each day and that's it. For the last 6 months my blood pressure has been great and today was an unwelcomed reminder of how strong our minds affect our bodies!!! Lets keep on touch and be positive just like your amazing video. I will likely watch it again and again!!!

Hi Jennifer! I so appreciate this and your reaching out. It’s been stressful but we are taking it one day at a time, or trying! I don’t have to deal with what my daughter does, as she is the overnight shift for a Boston hospital, and I work for a medical center. We just pray everyone stays healthy, including my son who goes to college but home now with us still out in the world everyday. It definitely is taking a toll, as I’m sure it is on you and everyone in their own way. I hope you are doing ok as well? I thank you so much again for checking in, it means a lot. Let me know how you are when you have a moment, and I hope you are also staying well, both physically and mentally! ❤️❤️

@@ASMRPeacefulPleasure That is ALOT of worry and stress on your plate Tami:( I'm praying you get a break of your own along with being able to relax with some ASMR. This pandemic is just surreal and its taken an enormous toll on everyone's mental health. Just scared and uncertain.....I've begun practicing more self care in the form of: cooking, baking, days away from social media and news, and just walking my beagles each day to get outside and lift my spirits:) You again are my favorite ASMR creator and you truly have such a gifted voice and presence. I had to go through the video again and re-edit ❤️🤪 .. Stay well my friend, it’s just been so crazy, surreal, and stressful for all. Please keep in touch! I’m going to look back at email, for FB again. Most are home bound now, but I still have to work, which is both a blessing and a stressor .. My son has an auto immune disease, and I worry about bringing something to him, although we try to stay as safe as possible.. He’s in college, but all the schools are closed so he’s home finishing online.. Hope you and family are doing OK ❤️❤️

Interesting, because I’ve been doing these magazine style videos for about 6 years now, it’s been a staple of mine, which I’ve done about 15 videos thus far.. Take a look at the playlist if you enjoyed. When I started this series 6 years ago, although I know of her wonderful videos now, I did not back then.

Debra Goring Hi Debra, I have not had any feedback such as you speak, I may have had 1 or 2 comments over 6 years that just don’t get it, but I don’t care about those, I do what comes naturally, always! .. I started my channel with magazine videos so long ago, almost 7 years, and I have not changed anything in making current videos, based on any derogatory comments, it’s just me doing the video, apparently not in the exact same way as the older ones, but not deliberate. I’m sorry you are unhappy with how they have been done more recently. I’d honestly need to go back, to specific videos, and see exactly what you are speaking of. Each video, I just try to go with the flow, do what comes naturally and not mechanically. Again, I’m sorry you haven’t enjoyed the more recent versions. As a creator, and someone whose watched for some time, this came as a surprise, and it is disheartening to me, because it has nothing to do with of which you speak. Again, I can look back at videos made 7, 6, 5 etc.. years ago, so I have a better understanding. That being said, I do understand what you are saying in general, in that people with nothing better to do, who do not take the the time to research and educate, and understand, at least as much as they are capable anyway, is very frustrating to see happening here on you tube, and life in general!

Any verbiage in the beginning, I add, to alert, as needed per RU-vid guidelines only, then the video is simply me, doing my thing and hoping people enjoy it. Also, I’ve never made a dime from any of my videos, even if monetized, I’ve made nothing in 7 years, but I continue to do them.

Hi Allison! Thank you so much for checking in, my friend! It’s been rough, truthfully! My daughter is a newly graduated nurse, just 8M into her career, and she’s also dealing with this. She works the overnight shift for a Boston hospital, so she actually is in the trenches more than me, as I work for a medical center, not that it’s not stressful as well, but a different level. She’s living at home right now, as is my son who is in college, but could not return due to all this. So, keeping him safe from us being out in the medical world every day, is priority too. He has an immune compromised condition. Anyway, trying to stay well physically and mentally, and yes my ASMR definitely helps! Please let me know how you’re doing? Everyone is dealing with this in there own way. Stay healthy physically and mentally Allison! Update me when you have a moment, and check in anytime. @@ASMRPeacefulPleasure Hi, Tami! I'm so glad you are holding up and staying healthy. I'm keeping you and your family in my thoughts. Trying to keep your kids safe is exhausting on a normal day. These days it is just...ugh. My mother, who is now retired and disabled, was a nurse. I never had that calling. Neither my brother nor I followed her footsteps in the medical field. I could never do it and so thankful for people like you and your daughter who can! My family and I are holding up okay. I count my blessings a little bit everyday. I don't know if I ever told you what I do for a living, but I am in the entertainment industry. When I lived in Vegas, I was a stage manager for one of the Cirque du Soleil shows on the strip. Since my life is theatre and entertainment, all my friends have lost their jobs...my friends at Cirque, my friends at Disney, my friends on Broadway... they are all unemployed now, and I hurt for them and their families. Since I got out of the active industry over a year ago, I am not being directly impacted by it. My husband, thankfully, is not in the industry and still has his job (he's a geologist... our dinner conversations between theatre and rocks/water/earth are something) so we are okay financially. I'm worried about my parents who are in their 70s and not in the best health. And of course my two daughters, who are 4 and 20 months old. My 4 year old was supposed to start Preschool the week after everything started shutting down so that has been put on hold. It's been difficult trying to explain to her why she can't start school yet. I hate worrying about getting food and supplies because of the hoarding. And I do worry that my husband is out at work everyday and coming in contact with people. He's supposed to go on a business trip in 10 days. The company hasn't canceled it yet, and I am adamantly against it. Anyway, we are hanging in. Trying not to watch the news too much and trying to send good healthy vibes to everyone on the "front lines". Please take care of yourself. I know that we only known each other through here but if you need anything please let me know. I had my girls late in life so I am guessing we are closer in age than expected, so I am here as a sounding board or anything else that you and your family might need. I bet most of your subscribers would say the same. ❤️❤️ Stay healthy and safe!!

Allison, You have no idea how much your words here mean to me. Confiding in me about your life, your concerns, your struggles, and your support!! I absolutely loved reading about you, what an amazing line of work you have been in, I have seen several Cirque du Soleil shows over the years, among other Broadway shows etc. I think that is so wonderful, and my heart goes out to you and all, who have been affected economically by this!! It’s terrible, and I pray we can recover. It is just completely surreal. I am delayed in writing, but let me know if your husband went on his trip, and any updates. I too will keep you in my thoughts and prayers, and please reach out anytime. I work for a medical center, so I am generally (although one never knows) not as directly affected, as my daughter who works in a hospital. Some days, I don’t even know how I do it, let alone her. Honestly, as you mentioned, I I am not sure I could do what she is doing. Weekends aren’t even relaxing as they should be, because you can’t go anywhere, grocery shopping as your mentioned, is just stressful. We have to wear masks, stay at least 6’ away, hurry through as they only allow so many in the store now, and I don’t like to be rushed unless it’s my choice, limited supply of everything, out of many things so you pick and choose, it’s just stressful! I prefer to order and pick up or deliver now, but you cannot reserve a slot to save your life. There are never any openings any more. Such a once mundane, go and go home task, is now filled with stress. Ugh. I have many co-workers with school aged kids, schooling from home, trying to figure everything out like you! Some needing to work, trying to figure that part out too. Anyway, I should close for now but please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, and again how much your words of support and of being there mean to me! I was so happy that you posted a video as we all know how crazy it is these days. In the video, you said you had some videos in the process of being edited and still debating on if you should post them. I say post them!!! But I'm biased and pretty love every video you post :) Yes, my husband went on the trip. He gets home today where he will drink and bath in bleach, and I will burn everything he brought on the trip. Ugh, don't get me started on why his company decided it was essential. I'm still livid (hence the bleach and burning...ha) Grocery shopping is ridiculous. First off, I have always hated going to the store so with this pandemic, it's even worse. I do delivery service but like you said, trying to reserve a spot is impossible. This past Saturday I managed a delivery, but they got some things wrong so I had to go into the store to get it corrected. So, what is the point of doing delivery if I have to go in anyway? It's maddening. I hope you and your family are keeping up morale. Watching the news, especially seeing all the lack of social distancing protests throughout the country, has not been the greatest morale boaster. Stay safe, my friend!! Thinking of you !
