Foundation should match your skin tone,therefore it doesn’t need to be dragged down the neck and chest,not onto ears. It should be blended very simply onto the neck. But each to their own,whatever your wife likes ❤
I think you ruined the height you created by over combing it. A soft bristle brush should be used for going over back combing. And you need lots of hairspray or texture powder
