apologies in advance that this is so long. Since you asked... I live in the states, and I've lost about 130 lbs, and also got off all metabolic meds (I was prediabetic, high blood pressure and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease at age 28). I was obese my entire life, since childhood. We didn't even have a lot of snacks and junk food in the house, while growing up. I got fat on koolaid, juice, soda, sweet tea. I couldn't understand how I was so heavy, but I felt hungry all the time! I have been handed many diet "plans" by doctors over the years, and tried it all. Low calorie, low fat, spend hours in the gym, weight watchers .... all useless. Here's what finally worked for me. A RU-vidr I watched (who has since passed away RIP Jen) did a 24 hr fast. She was 600+ lb. I thought if she can do a 24 hr fast, then I can! I felt great after 24 hours. I felt light, had energy. I didn't want to ruin it with junk food. I thought I would do very strict low carb (NO cheating) for 2 weeks. At the end of 2 weeks, I felt amazing. I had lost a bunch of water weight, my belly (which had a swollen tire of fluid around my liver) had gone down. I told myself after 30 days, I could have a cheat day. After 30 days, I didn't want to cheat. That was over 5 years ago. Of course I have fallen off the wagon here and there. Gained back some weight. Lost it again, plus more. There are going to be triggers and bad days. Don't give up. Don't throw it all away for one slip. Dust yourself off, get back on the horse. I do low carb, moderate fat, super high protein (like 100g/day). Contrary to popular belief, high protein diet doesn't cause protein to leak through the kidneys. High carb and inflammation does that. I hit several walls and had to change up my method. In the beginning, I did very lazy / dirty low carb. I had a lot of packaged convenience foods (Atkins bars, Quest frozen pizza, carb counter tortillas). As time went on and I got more healthy, I had to get strict with my diet and start eliminating problematic foods. I'm vigilant about getting on the scale morning and night. People think that's excessive. But when you are like I was (over 300 lb with questionable liver and kidney function) it's extremely important to watch your water weight. If I gain 8 lbs overnight (which has happened!) that's not fat. It's water. It means I ate something that caused my gut to become inflamed and swell. Slowly, over time, I was able to pinpoint foods that caused this inflammation and stop eating them. I also added in intermittent fasting, but that wasn't exactly on purpose. It's just that when I stopped eating sugar and high carb foods, I wasn't STARVING upon waking up. I just didn't eat until I was hungry, which was about lunch time. Nowadays, I wake up and have an iced coffee with skinny syrup (yes I know, evil sucralose, mmm I love it). Breakfast or lunch around 10 or 11, dinner at 4 or 5, evening coffee and that's it. I'm no longer hungry 24/7. I don't have to meticulously plan meals, track calories and obsess about food all day. If I want to have chicken Caesar salad for every meal for 2 weeks straight, I do it. I don't have to think. No more guilt spiral. No more food procrastination. Moving your body is great, but it shouldn't feel like a chore to you. I promise that if you really put your heart and soul into changing your way of eating, the weight loss will happen and the energy/motivation to move your body will come with it. When the sluggishness, fatigue and brain fog has finally lifted, you will feel brand new. Going for walks or doing dances at home won't feel tedious and grueling. Just give it 2 serious weeks. A lot can happen in 2 weeks.
Hey you don’t have to go on long walks if you do a little bit more throughout the day. For example, if you’re able to you can walk around your home for 5-10 minutes every hour. Hope this helps!
Hi love ❤ it's good to see you. If you cut out a lot of carbs, it will be hard for like 2 weeks and youll get cravings but then after that they disappear and you're never hungry when you're in ketosis. This is how i lose weight.
Thank you so much dear!! That's a very good advice! I consulted this with my coworker that is calling me frequently, is intelligent and is my new crush - the one from my shorts. And he kinda likes it. I on the other side love it! I will try it. Okies have a splentastic Saturday night ❤️❤️❤️🫂
